Study: Half Of Americans Believe Media “Intend To Mislead, Misinform”
“This study suggests that many Americans… feel distrust on an emotional level, believing news organizations intend to mislead them”

A study has revealed new lows in terms of trust Americans have in the establishment media.
The study by pollster Gallup and the Knight Foundation found that only a quarter of Americans have some level of favourability regarding the media, the lowest figure recorded for five years.

The study also found that half of Americans believe news organisations “intend to mislead, misinform, or persuade the public.”
More than half (52%) also said that they do not believe news organisations have people’s best interests at heart.

Gallup/Knight noted that “This study suggests that many Americans … feel distrust on an emotional level, believing news organizations intend to mislead them and are indifferent to the social and political impact of their reporting. Our analysis demonstrates that these indicators of emotional trust in news are, in fact, distinct from the opinion that news organizations are capable of delivering accurate and fair reporting.”
Trust in media is spiralling downward, with the criminal justice system and banks garnering more trust at this point:
The establishment media has almost completely ignored one of the stories of the decade in the Twitter files.
Investigative journalist Matt Taibbi, who worked on the Twitter Files, and was insulted and attacked by Democrats in Congress last week, noted this week how the media seems completely unconcerned now that real reporting is being suppressed at the behest of the government, where as four years ago it would have been constantly in the headlines.
“These stories are clearly newsworthy,” Taibbi said of the Twitter Files, adding “They are not particularly partisan, the bulk of them. And these attacks on myself and [Michael] Shellenberger. It’s the kind of thing that drove the mainstream media wild when Donald Trump was in office.”
“There would have been days and days of headlines of this kind of thing back then. Now, there is total unconcern about it. But I’ve been really troubled outside this entire period by the lack of esprit de corps among reporters about the story,” Taibbi added.
He continued, “Normally when you get a big story you want the cavalry to come to help investigate and nobody did and I think that’s been a very troubling aspect.”
“This idea of journalists sticking up for one another and sticking up for civil liberties which used to be a no-brainer issue in this profession, again, it’s gone. It’s just something that has disappeared entirely from the business,” the reporter further urged.

Video: Biden Press Secretary Defends Him Continually Stumbling And Falling Over
“Things happen”

Biden Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre again attempted to brush off concerns that Joe Biden is constantly stumbling around and falling over, claiming “things happen,” and that “other Presidents have had similar situations.”
Jean-Pierre was questioned by NewsMax’s James Rosen who pointed out that Americans are concerned that Biden isn’t fit to run for another four year term as he appears frail.
“I want to ask about the President’s tumble that he took on the stage in Colorado the other day,” Rosen began, adding “It’s absolutely true that any one of us could trip over an object that just happens to be in our path. Nonetheless. We’ve all observed the difficulty this President has in certain settings.”
“Steps are one of them and of course there was no sand bag in his path on the steps up Air Force One on any of those occasions,” Rosen noted, adding “I was struck particularly by the incident on May 19, in Hiroshima where the President descended down a set of stone steps toward a shrine.”
“At the bottom of which steps he was greeted by the Japanese Prime Minister. And if you look at that footage, the President slipped and caught himself on those steps. And as he greeted the Prime Minister, you could even see on the president’s face, pursed lips as if to say this was a close one,” Rosen continued.
Here is the incident Rosen is referring to:

The reporter then asked “whether this whole series of incidents has led the White House Chief of Staff to direct some kind of review of the advance procedures that are employed on behalf of this, the nation’s oldest President?”
Jean-Pierre was having none of it, claiming she didn’t see anything that happened in Japan and then listing achievements Biden has accomplished as some sort of counter balance to him stumbling around.
“Your proposition may or may not be true, but it’s not responsive to my question,” Rosen responded.
The Press Secretary snapped back “You’re asking me if we’re going to change anything from here, the Chief of Staff has asked for it to change anything from here. And here’s the thing, here’s the thing. We are not. Things happen. Other Presidents have had similar situations.”
And with that she ended the press conference.

Tucker Carlson’s First Show on Twitter Covers Ukraine War Propaganda… and Aliens?
Published

7 June, 2023Chris Menahan | Information Liberation

Tucker Carlson’s first episode of his ten-minute new show Tucker on Twitter started off strong but went off the rails quick with talk about how an alleged “whistleblower’s” unproven claims that the US government recovered alien craft proves that “UFOs are actually real” and “apparently so is extraterrestrial life.”
Carlson opened his show by talking about the destruction of the Nova Kakhovka Dam and highlighting how Ukraine revealed last year that they had plans to destroy the dam.
Ep. 1 pic.twitter.com/O7CdPjF830
— Tucker Carlson (@TuckerCarlson) June 6, 2023
He played the edited clip of Lindsey Graham praising US aid to Ukraine as “the best money we’ve ever spent” and celebrating that “Russians are dying” but didn’t note that it was edited (it’s been a full week since it went viral and was corrected).
Rather humorously, Carlson described Zelensky as “sweaty and rat-like, a comedian turned oligarch, a persecutor of Christians, a friend of BlackRock” (for which he was immediately accused of “anti-Semitism”).
“But don’t believe your own eyes. Actually, Mr. Zelensky is a very good man,” Carlson said. “Of all the people in the world, our shifty, dead-eyed Ukrainian friend in the tracksuit is uniquely incapable of blowing up a dam. He’s literally a living saint, a man in whom there is no sin.”
He went on to criticize Nikki Haley for shilling for the war on CNN, chide the media for spreading propaganda and ask:
“What’s happened to the hundreds of billions of US dollars we’ve sent to Ukraine?”
“Who organized those BLM riots 3 years ago?”
“What exactly happened on 9/11?”
“How did Jeffrey Epstein make all that money? How did he die?”
“How about JFK?”
“Not only are the media not interested in any of this,” Carlson said, “they’re actively hostile to anybody who is.”
“In journalism, curiosity is the greatest crime,” he noted.
Unfortunately, Carlson didn’t set out to answer any of those questions himself.
Instead, he talked about purported “whistleblower” David Charles Grusch — a former intelligence official — and how he came forward to claim the US government has retrieved alien craft and “otherworldly remains” from a “non-human species.”
“That’s what the former Intel officer revealed, and it was clear he was telling the truth,” Carlson said. “In other words, UFOs are actually real, and apparently so is extraterrestrial life. Now, in a normal country, this news would qualify as a bombshell — the story of the millennium. But in our country, it doesn’t.”
He criticized the Washington Post and New York Times for not running the story even though we now know thanks to Grusch that there’s an “alien species” that “is flying hypersonic aircraft over our cities.”
I was hoping Carlson would produce more shows full of absolute fire like he did during the BLM riots when he was getting the best ratings of his career but if this episode is any indicator, it appears we’re just going to get more of his own ice-cold “hot takes.”
How much of Tucker Carlson’s show at its prime was just his lead writer Blake Neff boiling down the collective wit, wisdom and memes of the AutoAdmit forum?
Seeing as how his show declined precipitously after Neff was canceled and fired, it seems like almost all of it.
Hopefully, Carlson answers the questions he asked about Epstein, 9/11, JFK and BLM and produces better content in future episodes. If his Twitter show is just a less fact-checked version of Tucker Carlson Tonight, I can’t really see the draw.

CBP Data Shows Another Wave Of Suspected Terrorists Attempted To Cross Border In April
How many were not arrested?

A further 16 suspected terrorists were apprehended attempting to cross the Southern border into the U.S in April alone, according to the latest CBP data.
The data shows that 16 people on the FBI terrorism watch list were arrested trying to cross the border, bringing the total number this fiscal year to already almost 100, an all time high.
As reporter Bill Melugin noted, the figure for April is more than the four years Trump was in office for combined.
As for how many actually crossed without being apprehended, who knows.
Those 16 individuals are only the ones we know about. Imagine how many have crossed Biden's open border undetected. https://t.co/J6LPzC1aCT

Melugin continues to cover the wave of criminals and cartel members using the border as a revolving door:
This is the stark reality of having an unsecured international border & the threats to public safety & national security.

Great work by @TxDPS, @TXMilitary, & #USBP! #OperationLoneStar https://t.co/7LkA5H0VqU
The Department of Homeland Security says the border is secure and claims that the biggest terror threat the U.S. faces is ‘domestic extremists’ radicalised by “false narratives propagated on online platforms.”
