Texas Border Towns Prepare For Migrant Wave With Shipping Containers And Razor Wire

Published

Even with the Supreme Court temporarily extending a Trump-era policy that bars asylum applicants from entering the U.S. to protect the American population from Covid-19, the Federal Government has offered no viable solutions and little to no help to southern border states to stop a growing wave of illegal immigrants.

White House officials continue to deny that there is a legitimate problem while also claiming they have been “doing the work since day one” to secure the border.  States and border towns are now left to deal with the threat on their own.

Title 42 is a law established in 2020 by Donald Trump which coincided with the governments covid pandemic response.  It requires Border Patrol and law enforcement to immediately transfer apprehended illegal immigrants back across the border instead of allowing them to stay within the US while awaiting courts to rule on their citizenship status.  Using the guise of “asylum seeker,” millions of migrants are crossing the border in an attempt to remain in the country with access to welfare benefits and amenities.

As we have seen in places like El Paso, there is also the ongoing problem of Democrat controlled “sanctuary cities” that have refused to cooperate with an overall state run response.  This past week the Mayor of El Paso, Oscar Leeser, finally admitted that the region is facing an emergency, which means he will be begging for relief funds but still will not do anything to stop migrants from flooding in.  According to public data, more than 80,000 migrants have invaded El Paso in the last four months.

Leeser warned that after Title 42 ends on December 21st the number of migrants released onto city streets will be “incredible” – Up to 6000 per day or more.  El Paso has requested additional personnel for feeding and housing operations, additional busing operations and state law enforcement.

Border towns with no prevention operations and those that act as sanctuaries will undoubtedly be overrun in a matter of days once Title 42 expires.  In some cases (like El Paso) they are already being overrun.  Some towns in Texas are starting to realize the gravity of the situation and they are taking action along with state officials, with local news reporting efforts to quickly build make-shift border walls with shipping containers and razor wire:

While this is better than nothing, the effects of the end of Title 42 are not being properly conveyed to the general public by the government or the media and it is likely that the border crisis will erupt to new levels over the course of the next few months going into Spring 2023.  The conditions for a humanitarian disaster are stacked like dominoes; a perfect storm that the American public will be hearing about on the news daily next year, but only after the damage has already been done.

CBP Data: 16 Terrorists On FBI Watchlist Crossed Southern Border In February Alone

Fresh data from Customs and Border Protection has revealed that sixteen people matched to the FBI’s terrorist watchlist were apprehended by Border Patrol agents in February alone.

As reported by Fox News, the total number of individuals on the watchlist found to be attempting to enter the country so far this fiscal year is now 69.

CBP expects the trend to continue, and to smash last fiscal year’s record 98 encounters.

Between FY17 and FY20 there were only 8 of these terror watchlist arrests, and in 2021 only 15.

When border the Southern and Northern borders are taken into account, FY23 has seen 214 people in the Terrorist Screening Database stopped by CBP agents to date. Last year, the total was 380, yet the year before that there were only 157 encounters.

The Department of Homeland Security says the border is secure and claims that the biggest terror threat the U.S. faces is ‘domestic extremists’ radicalised by “false narratives propagated on online platforms.”

The latest data shows that on the whole, CBP apprehended 128,877 people who crossed the border illegally in January and another 128,913 in February.

Those figures are down from December when a record amount of illegal crossings were recorded, as 251,487 illegal immigrants crossed, marking the highest monthly total in history. A total of 17 individuals on the terrorism watchlist were apprehended.

Last week, during testimony before the House, Border Patrol chief Raúl Ortiz contradicted Biden administration officials by stating that there is a full on crisis on the southern border, urging that it is not secure, and calling for a wall to be built.

Ortiz noted that there have already been approximately 385,000 known gotaways at the border since fiscal year 2023 began on Oct 1. That is in addition to 600,000 in FY’22, and 390,000 in FY’21. There have been approximately 1.4 million gotaways since start of FY’21.

Video: Border Patrol Chief Testifies Border Is Not Secure, Wall Needed

Not a single Democrat attended the hearing

During testimony before the House Wednesday, Border Patrol chief Raúl Ortiz contradicted Biden administration officials by stating that there is a full on crisis on the southern border, urging that it is not secure, and calling for a wall to be built.

Biden officials, including DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, have repeatedly claimed that the border is under control, yet Ortiz confirmed that there is no operational control of the entire southern border.

Rep. Mark Green questioned Ortiz with a display behind him that noted “operational control,” as defined by U.S. law, is “the prevention of all unlawful entries into the United States, including entries by terrorists, other unlawful aliens, instruments of terrorism, narcotics and other contraband.”

Ortiz went on to talk about the numbers flooding the border:

Elsewhere during the hearing, Ortiz said it was a mistake to stop building President Trump’s wall. He also defended the agents who were accused and cleared of whipping migrants while on horseback.

Not a single Democrat was present at the hearing:

Ortiz’s comments come as the CBP reported over 150,000 encounters with illegals in February:

The Defense Department is spending millions on not building a wall:

Meanwhile, the northern border is also seeing a massive increase in illegal immigration under Biden:

Videos: Massive Group Of 1000 Illegals Attempts To Smash Through El Paso Border Barriers

Video and photos have emerged of a massive group of 1000 illegal immigrants attempting to rush the border at at check point on the Paso Del Notre bridge.

The establishment media barely reported on the incident, with Fox News’ Bill Melugin the only reporter to cover the incident.

The footage shows that most trying to cross are young men.

Both Mexican police and U.S. border agents managed to stop the attempt to crash through the check point utilising barricades of barbed wire and other physical barriers.

The migrants were reportedly emboldened by a rumour that the CBP on the bridge was letting people through days earlier:

This is now a regular occurrence:

The latest incident comes in the wake of revelations that The Red Cross is providing materials including maps to undocumented immigrants in an attempt help them successfully illegally cross the border into the U.S.
