NPR Denigrates Slain Shinzo Abe as “Divisive Arch Conservative”
Changes headline after Twitter backlash.

Published
1 month agoon

NPR reacted to the shocking assassination of former Japanese prime minister Shinzo Abe by denigrating him as a “divisive arch conservative” and an “ultranationalist.”
Abe was shot dead by 41-year-old gunman Yamagami Tetsuya while giving a speech at a campaign rally in the western city of Nara.
Tetsuya used a homemade weapon to shoot Abe twice. The former president died after sustaining two deep neck wounds that damaged an artery.
Government-funded NPR reacted to the news by referring to Abe as a “divisive arch conservative,” a description many found derogatory.

After receiving some backlash on Twitter, NPR deleted their original tweet, before posting a new one that described the Japanese leader as an “ultranationalist.”
NPR deleted its first tweet calling Shinzo Abe a "divisive arch conservative" and then posted this tweet calling him an "ultranationalist." As if he were Tojo or Itagaki and not the four time elected leader of a modern democracy. May he rest in peace. https://t.co/TtxukySoAr

Some people compared the media’s treatment of Abe to their glowing eulogy of ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, who the Washington Post described as an “austere religious scholar” despite him being the head of an international terrorist organization.

As Chris Menahan notes, in addition to being a close ally of Donald Trump and strong on immigration and border security, Abe was also a critic of support for prolonging the war in Ukraine.
Abe even dared criticize globalist darling President Zelensky, asserting that the Ukrainian leader should have vowed not to join NATO and given the Donbass region autonomy in order to de-escalate tensions with Russia.
“Had Zelensky listened to Abe rather than Antony Blinken and Anne Applebaum, the war could have been avoided. Russia declared victory over the Donbass republic just days ago after over four months of devastating combat,” writes Menahan.
“The current Prime Minister of Japan, Fumio Kishida, threw all of Abe’s overtures to Russia out the window after the war in Ukraine broke out and put Japan on war footing by embracing the US and EU’s anti-Russian sanctions and the freezing of Russian assets.”
“Whereas Abe’s “Abenomics” showed moderate success in working to revive Japan’s economy after over a decade of stagflation, Kishida’s economics and support of Western sanctions against Russia has imploded Japan’s economy and triggered record inflation.”
Authorities say they haven’t yet found any evidence that the gunman was motivated by his opposition to Abe’s political beliefs.

Watch: Reporter Tells White House Security Coordinator ‘You Gave A Whole Country to Extremists’
“What did you think was going to happen?”
Published

3 August, 2022Steve Watson

White House Coordinator for Strategic Communications at the National Security Council John Kirby was confronted Tuesday by Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy over the revelation that Al Qaeda has resestablished itself in Afghanistan following the Biden administration’s botched withdrawal from the country, handing it back to Taliban extremists.
Doocy first raised the issue of the administration claiming they knew Al Qaeda has a presence in Afghanistan despite Joe Biden’s claim last year that the terrorist organisation was “gone” from the country.
Kirby responded, “They weren’t playing a major role in operations or resourcing or planning in Afghanistan. But Peter, I know specifically because I was at a different podium a year ago and we talked about the fact that al-Qaida had a presence in Afghanistan, but small and not incredibly powerful or potent. And, I think, again without getting into numbers, we would still assess that to be the case.”
Doocy fired back, “So, we know that the Taliban was harboring the world’s most wanted terrorist. You guys gave a whole country to a bunch of people that are on the FBI Most Wanted List, what did you think was going to happen?”
Kirby responded, “I take issue with the premise that we gave a whole country to terrorist groups.”
“They were harboring the world’s number one terrorist, how is that not giving a country to a terrorist-sympathizing group, if not giving them permission to have terrorists just sit on a balcony?” Doocy replied, referring to the revelation that Al Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri was reportedly killed by drone strike while relaxing in Kabul.
“Are we waiting for some spectacular terrorist attack in the U.S. to then say ‘oh, well there’s terrorists in a safe haven in Afghanistan, now we can go get them,’” Doocy further pressed.

Must See: Tucker Carlson Blasts Biden For Bragging About Killing Al Qaeda Head
Terror experts note the fact Al Qaeda is back strong in Afghanistan is Biden’s legacy
Published
1 week agoon
2 August, 2022Steve Watson

Fox News host Tucker Carlson took Joe Biden to task for bragging Monday night about killing Al Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri, noting that Biden really has no right to boast about anything to do with Afghanistan.
“It takes a lot of brass to brag about Afghanistan, or even mention the word,” Carlson urged, comparing Biden’s botched withdrawal from the country to the Monica Lewinsky scandal for Bill Clinton.
“His withdrawal from that country almost a year ago was the single most humiliating moment in American foreign policy since the fall of Saigon in April 1975,” Carlson added.
The host further asserted that Biden’s actions “seemed designed to inflict maximum damage to the interests of the United States.”
Referring to the killing of the man who took over from Osama Bin Laden, Carlson asked viewers if they “Feel safer?” adding “Of course, you don’t. Nobody does.”
“The reason nobody feels safer is Biden’s response to the disaster in Afghanistan,” he continued.
Watch:
Meanwhile, others, including counter terrorism experts, noted that the fact al-Zawahiri and Al Qaeda are even in Afghanistan now, and in Kabul rather than some cave in the south, is directly because of the botched withdrawal.
Taking out #Zawahiri isn’t the categorical win Biden says. The Taliban was supposed to prevent Al Qaeda leaders from hiding out there for goodness sake.
— Max Abrahms (@MaxAbrahms) August 1, 2022
2) The strike that killed Zawahiri is the first since the U.S withdrawal 1+ months ago. The U.S. saved best for first, and made the first counterterrorism strike count.
— Bill Roggio (@billroggio) August 2, 2022
4) Zawahiri could not operate in Afghanistan – particularly in Kabul – without the consent of the Taliban. He wasn't in the remote mountains of Kunar, Nuristan, or Nangarhar, or distant provinces of Ghazni, Helmand, or Kandahar. He was in the Taliban's capital.
— Bill Roggio (@billroggio) August 2, 2022
6) Zawahiri's death was long overdue; cold justice for more than 4 decades of involvement for some of the most heinous terror attacks recorded. The Taliban's role in supporting and sheltering Zawahiri and Al Qaeda both pre 9/11 and to this day – remains undeniable.
— Bill Roggio (@billroggio) August 2, 2022
There was a reason that Ayman al-Zawahiri was in Kabul. Serving as the #2 to Bin Laden in al Qaeda he took advantage of our failed evacuation of Afghanistan and the power vacuum. It is a safe haven for terrorists all around the world. This is a byproduct of what we created.
— Tim Kennedy (@TimKennedyMMA) August 2, 2022
That Zawahiri, after years of hiding and immense OPSEC, was killed on a balcony in a wealthy downtown neighborhood of Kabul–it just shows what a drastic sense of empowerment al-Qaeda leadership has felt under Taliban-ruled Afghanistan.
— Rita Katz (@Rita_Katz) August 2, 2022
The good: we took out a horrible terrorist.
— Rep. Mike Waltz (@michaelgwaltz) August 1, 2022
The bad: Al Qaeda is back in Kabul – just as they were in 2001.
Biden declared last year that Al Qaeda was “gone” from Afghanistan.

Putin Blasts “Globalist” World Order as “Totalitarian”
“Holding back creative pursuit.”

Published
3 weeks agoon
20 July, 2022
Russian President Vladimir Putin asserted earlier today that the “globalist” world order is “totalitarian” and is “holding back creative pursuit.”
Putin made the comments during a forum in Moscow.
The notorious leader claimed that the west had only achieved its global preeminence due to the historic plunder of other nations and had no moral right to enforce a unipolar model on the planet.
“The model of the total dominance of the so-called ‘golden billion’ is unjust. Why should this ‘golden billion’ among the planet’s population dominate others, impose its own rules of conduct?” Putin asked.
“Based on the illusion of ‘exclusivity,’ this model divides people into first and second class status, and is therefore racist and neo-colonial in its essence,” he added.
“And the globalist, supposedly liberal ideology which underlies it is increasingly acquiring the features of totalitarianism, holding back creative pursuit, free historical creation,” Putin claimed.
A new world order is coming

— Spriteer (@spriteer_774400) July 20, 2022
The Russian President went on to stress his view that the globalist world order was built off the exploitation of other countries.
“Of course, this ‘golden billion’ did not become ‘golden’ by accident. It has achieved a lot. But it did not only take up its positions thanks to the realization of some ideas, but to a large extent due to the robbery of other peoples – both in Asia and Africa. That’s what happened.”
He then proclaimed that western elites are terrified that their global order is being dismantled.
“No matter how much Western and so-called supranational elites strive to preserve the existing order of things, a new era is coming, a new stage in world history. And only truly sovereign states can ensure high dynamics for growth and become an example for others,” said Putin.
As we have previously highlighted, Putin has consistently blamed the west for its own downfall.
Back in March, he gave a speech in which he blamed the ‘western ruling elite’ for creating the economic hardships impacting people in Europe and the United States.
Last year, the controversial strongman blasted the west as “completely insane” for allowing children to be taught there is no biological sex, saying the woke crusade against traditional gender roles was “subverting human nature.”
