Billionaire Bill Gates is currently flying around Australia on board his $70 million dollar luxury private jet lecturing people about climate change.

Yes, really.

The Microsoft founder is trying to drum up business for his Breakthrough Energy company by telling investors, “The reason why climate change is worth investing in massively is because it will get worse and worse over time.”

The potential for climate catastrophe doesn’t appear to be enough for Gates to change his own behavior, however, as he burns around 1,700 liters of fuel per hour while gallivanting around in his $70m Gulfstream.

The billionaire spent some time relaxing on Lizard Island (how appropriate) on Queensland’s Great Barrier Reef before taking the gas guzzling form of transport to travel to Sydney for a meeting with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.

Gates owns no fewer than FOUR private jets at a combined cost of $194 million dollars.

Gates spewed his usual alarmist rhetoric, claiming that man made global warming will lead to “all sorts of natural ecosystems disappear and all sorts of places in the world you can’t do outdoor work.”

“Climate change is not yet having the negative effects of a disease like malaria, which kills 400,00 children a year,” Gates told attendees at an event hosted by the Lowy Institute think-tank.

The globalist philanthropist said, “The key is to minimise the warming as much as possible,” although Mr. Gates himself won’t be contributing to that goal by flying commercial.

It’s very much ‘do as I say, not as I do’ after Gates acknowledged in his 2021 book How To Avoid Climate Disaster that he was a total hypocrite.

“I am aware that I’m an imperfect messenger on climate change,” he wrote, adding, “I own big houses and fly in private planes – in fact, I took one to Paris for the climate conference, so who am I to lecture anyone on the environment?”

“I plead guilty to all three charges. I can’t deny being a rich guy with an opinion. I do believe, though, that it is an informed opinion, and I am always trying to learn more.”

Apparently, ‘learning more’ means continuing to browbeat you over your carbon footprint while Gates himself emits one the size of a small country.

Gates’ behavior once again exemplifies how mega-rich climate change preachers don’t actually believe their own propaganda about rising CO2 levels causing apocalyptic climate change.

Al Gore is testing out his performative Greta mode at the World Economic Forum in Davos this week. The former Vice President and Democratic presidential candidate who as early as the 1990’s was dubbed in the pages of The Washington Post as “very boring” and as having a “naturally stiff, wooden persona” momentarily (and very awkwardly) tried to go climate activist beast mode during a Q&A panel.

His attempt this week to pull off a “Greta moment” and shed his notorious stiffness resulted in an unhinged rant wherein he claimed that carbon emissions and greenhouses gases are trapping “as much extra heat as would be released by 600,000 Hiroshima class atomic bombs exploding every single day on the earth.”

That’s right, you heard him correctly… six-hundred-thousand Hiroshima bombs every single day – according to his bizarre rant, which he further said is “boiling the oceans” and creating “rain bombs” and “atmospheric rivers” resulting in millions of “climate refugees”. 

“Climate refugees are expected to reach one billion in this century”… he said, before turning to the “xenophobia” somehow unleashed on the world in the process due to the “Hiroshima bombs”. 

Next, Gore can perhaps stage his own arrest at a climate protest right alongside his hero.

Then maybe, just maybe, he’ll be relevant again – as he clearly so desperately wants.

An individual carbon dioxide limit should be applied to every person in order to establish a “planetary guardrail” in the effort to combat allegedly man-made climate change, a leading German scientist has argued.

Hans Joachim Schellnhuber from the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK) said this week that every person should have a limit of three tonnes of C02 emissions per year and those who exceed their limit should be forced to pay for the pleasure.

In comments reported by Taagesschau, Schellnhuber said that there were are two competing property rights issues at hand, namely the right to spend one’s money on high emissions activities and the rights of the rest of the population to “have an environment worth living [in]”.

In a carbon credit style scheme, those who emit over the three-tonne limit by the middle of the century would need to privately purchase credits from those who are under the limit, he suggested: “Every person gets three tons of CO2 per year, but if you need more, you just have to buy it.”

At present, according to the news outlet, the average German is far above Schellnhuber’s proposed limit, as ten tonnes of C02 emissions are produced by the average citizen. Citing the Paris World Inequality lab, there are some millionaires within the country that produce over 100 tonnes of CO2 per year, and some thousands of elites worldwide emit over 2,000 tonnes per year.

Aside from not spelling out how he expects people to drastically reduce their carbon emissions, the German scientist did not elaborate on how exactly this will be tracked and monitored.
