Trump-Backed Senate Candidate Blames Gun Violence on “Black People, Frankly”

Trump-backed Senate candidate Blake Masters has attracted controversy for resurfaced remarks in which he blames gun violence in America on “black people, frankly.”

Well, this is awkward.

Left-wing outlet Heartland Signal posted a clip of the comments to Twitter, which Masters initially made back in April.

“We do have a gun violence problem in this country, and it’s gang violence,” Masters told a local radio station.

“It’s gangs, it’s people in Chicago, in St. Louis, shooting each other. Very often, you know, Black people, frankly. And the Democrats don’t want to do anything about that,” he added.

Despite Masters receiving condemnation for making a pretty basic observation, the same point was previously made by former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg.

Bloomberg said it was “true in virtually every city” that 95 per cent of murders and murder victims were “male minorities” aged 16-25.

“You’ll notice the media’s all over Masters’ statement and is feigning outrage but suddenly lost interest in “fact-checking,” writes Chris Menahan.

“The only “fact check” they could run on his statement is correcting the notion most of these shootings are gang-related.”

“According to CDC data, most of these murders are thugs shooting people during the commission of a crime, i.e. during a robbery, carjacking, home invasion, etc.”

null

Second amendment advocates have long complained about media bias that whips up agenda-driven moral panics after shootings carried out by white people but largely ignores black on black crime.

In his 2020 book Gun Control Myths, researcher John Lott asserts, “The United States has a relatively low violent crime rate compared to other developed countries. But compared to these other countries, the United States does have a relatively high homicide rate.”

The explanation, according to Lott, is that “the US has a bad drug gang problem.”

Delusional Liz Cheney Says She Might Run For PRESIDENT

She couldn’t get 40% of her own constituents to vote for her

After failing to convince even 40 percent of her own constituents to vote for her, Liz Cheney suggested Wednesday that she might try running for President.

Cheney made the comments on the TODAY show, stating “That’s a decision I’m going to make in the coming months… It is something I’m thinking about.”

Cheney also declared “I will do whatever it takes to keep Donald Trump out of the Oval Office.”

As host Savannah Guthrie noted, Cheney will lead an organisation that will mount a “unified effort” to prevent Trump from running for President.

“In coming weeks, Liz will be launching an organization to educate the American people about the ongoing threat to our Republic, and to mobilize a unified effort to oppose any Donald Trump campaign for president,” Cheney spokesperson Jeremy Adler told Politico.

Surely this will all just help Trump.

In her speech earlier this week as it became clear she had lost in a landslide, Cheney actually compared herself to Abraham Lincoln:

Experts Say FBI Mar-a-Lago Raid Will Help Trump

Could be a “remember the Alamo” moment.

    on

Experts are increasingly of the belief that the FBI raid on Mar-a-Lago will actually serve to help Donald Trump’s chances of becoming president again in the long run.

Federal agents searched Trump’s Florida home last week, ostensibly to recover classified documents, although the incident is widely being seen as yet another underhanded effort to prevent Trump from running for office again.

Describing the raid as an “assault on a political opponent,” Trump claimed yesterday that the FBI “stole” three of his passports as well as ransacking his wife Melania’s wardrobe.

Experts are increasingly coming around to the view that the raid will in fact bolster Trump’s re-election chances.

“Unless Donald Trump is convicted of one or more felonies before November 2024, he is now, on paper, a much stronger contender than he was before the Mar-a-Lago raid,” said former hedge fund manager and political commentator Charles Ortel.

“Whether you like Donald Trump or loathe him… you must understand that running the Federal Bureau of Investigation like a Stasi or Gestapo is so far beyond acceptable that it is worse than laughable,” he added.

Ortel thinks the Mar-a-Lago raid is a “remember the Alamo” moment and that it will “pull levers at the polls” for Trump at the next election.

“After the looming anti-Democrat deluge, there will be an accounting against all who have trampled the Constitution. This project will continue through and after November 2024,” said Ortel.

Political analyst Sam Hussein broadly agreed with Ortel’s view that the raid will backfire.

“This keeps the focus on Trump. It adds yet another dimension to the myriad of ways liberals have obsessed over ‘getting him’ or seeming to at apparently any cost. But he feeds off the notoriety,” Hussein told Sputnik.

As we highlighted yesterday, GOP Pennsylvania Representative Scott Perry warned that everyday Americans should now plan for “tyranny” to enter their homes in the form of federal agents if they refuse to play nice with the authorities.

In addition to the Trump raid, Americans are angered by the Biden administration’s funding of tens of thousands of new IRS agents, who we now learn are being trained to use “deadly force” against citizens.
