“We Believe in Jesus”: Tampa Bay Players Say No to ‘Pride Night’

Don’t want to encourage a “lifestyle” that contradicts their Christian beliefs.

Several Tampa Bay Rays players opted out of displaying support for gay pride by refusing to wear Pride Night uniforms, citing their belief in Jesus Christ as the reason.

“In an effort to make their commitment [to the LGBTQ+ community] more visible, the Rays this year decided to follow the lead of the Giants and add rainbow-colored logos to their Pride Night uniforms, to the “TB” on their caps and a sunburst on their right jersey sleeves,” reports the Tampa Bay Times.

However, numerous players chose to peel off the pride logo and wear their normal hats, including Jason Adam, Jalen Beeks, Brooks Raley, Jeffrey Springs and Ryan Thompson.

Twitter users predictably asserted that the players who chose not to display support for a movement endorsed by every organ of the establishment were “homophobic.”

However, pitcher Jason Adam explained that the reason for the players’ refusal to signal their virtue was that gay pride contradicts Christianity.

“A lot of it comes down to faith, to like a faith-based decision,” Adam said.

“So it’s a hard decision. Because ultimately we all said what we want is them to know that all are welcome and loved here. But when we put it on our bodies, I think a lot of guys decided that it’s just a lifestyle that maybe — not that they look down on anybody or think differently — it’s just that maybe we don’t want to encourage it if we believe in Jesus, who’s encouraged us to live a lifestyle that would abstain from that behavior, just like (Jesus) encourages me as a heterosexual male to abstain from sex outside of the confines of marriage. It’s no different.”

“It’s not judgmental. It’s not looking down. It’s just what we believe the lifestyle he’s encouraged us to live, for our good, not to withhold. But again, we love these men and women, we care about them, and we want them to feel safe and welcome here,” he added.

And so the precedent has been set – if you refuse to display loyalty to one of the regime’s primary political front groups (the LGBT lobby), simply because you hold different beliefs, you’re a bigoted homophobe subject to possible cancellation.

“’I only burn the bad books’ said every book burner ever.”

A trans activist decided to take out frustrations with J.K Rowling’s stance on women’s rights by burning a Harry Potter book, prompting the author to respond.

The person, named Tess Hall, posted a video of  a copy of the Harry Potter book ‘Goblet of Fire’ being burned, with the activist complaining about “hate we’ve been seeing of late.”

before throwing the book into the flames, Hall continues, “If we’re going to return to this sort of time where hate is involved, people marching the street against the existence of others,” adding “I think if we are going to be in the business of book burning lets make sure we are burning the right books.”

Hall then delivers a monologue about ‘extinguishing hate with love and acceptance of all,’ while referring to Christians as ‘Christo-fascists’

Rowling responded to the video:

Others chimed in:

This isn’t a one off:

Respondents to the book burning trend have previously pointed out the similarity to how religious fundamentalists wanted to burn Harry Potter books in the 2000s.

Leftists Complain About Transgender Shooter Being Misgendered

    The real horror, apparently.

    on

Some leftists reacted to the horrific killing of children at a Christian school in Nashville by a transgender-identified culprit by complaining that the killer was being misgendered.

    Yes, really.

28-year-old Audrey Hale murdered three children and three adults at The Covenant School, a private Presbyterian school, in what appears to be a hate-motivated attack.

As we highlighted earlier, the media’s initial reaction was to express “confusion” about whether they should refer to the culprit as a man or a woman, given that Hale had been identifying as a man in recent months.

Some trans activists on Twitter appeared to be more upset over the mass murderer being misgendered than the actual shooting.

“5 times @cnn misgendered. No correction, whined Karen Lopez. “A mass shooting is horrible. Misgendering does not make anything better.”

“It seems like maybe there’s plenty of confusion about whether or not the shooter is a transgender man or woman,” she added. “And finding out that the police there don’t know how to use the right words does not shock me. But mixing genders in the same story is still a problem.”

The reaction to her bizarre remarks was swift.

A statement issued by the Transgender Resistance Network demanded the media “respect the self-identified pronouns” of the mass murderer.

Another trans activist was also upset that the child killer’s pronouns weren’t respected.

    null

“Another day, another mass shooting. The shooter has been identified by his deadname,” tweeted Spencer Bergstedt, J.D., who has “he/him” pronouns in his bio. “It appears he used he/him pronouns & was a former student at the school. Of course, MSM & the LEO’s discussing the issue are misgendering the murderer. I’m sad & angry on so many levels.”

“OMG, they misgendered a fuckin mass murderer. When will the hate ever end?” responded one Twitter user.

However, other respondents seemed to share Bergstedt’s anger at the egregious act of misgendering.

    The mind truly boggles.

Media Loses Confidence in Preferred Pronouns After Transgender Shooter Attacks Christian School

Creates “confusion” around gender identity in bizarre response to horrific mass shooting.

    Published

    on

The media appears to have developed a sudden confusion surrounding preferred pronouns after a woman who identified as a man attacked a Christian school in Nashville, killing three children and three adults.

28-year-old Audrey Hale carefully planned out the assault on The Covenant School, leaving behind maps and a manifesto, the details of which have yet to be revealed.

Given Hale’s transgender identity, many have speculated that the massacre was motivated by Tennessee’s recent ban on all forms of “gender-affirming” transgender care for minors as well as drag queen shows, although others have suggested the motive was Hale’s resentment at having been made to attend the school.

Whatever the motive, the media’s reaction was to lose confidence in its assertion that transgender pronouns should be respected.

Despite Hale, a biological woman, having started identifying as a man in recent months, BBC News expressed confusion over the issue, despite authorities making clear the culprit was transgender.

The New York Times also claimed there was “confusion” surrounding the shooter’s transgender identity, despite such confusion only being expressed by the newspaper itself.

Some even accused the NYT of de facto apologizing for “misgendering” the killer.

The newspaper initially reported that the culprit was a “woman,” but later changed their description.

USA Today also appeared to apologize on behalf of authorities for initially stating that the shooter was in fact a biological woman.

Meanwhile, Newsweek appeared to blame anyone other than the culprit for the shooting, citing the ban on drag queen shows, gender-affirming care and “assault weapons” remaining legal, with the news outlet almost appearing to attempt to justify the carnage.

The meme below just above sums up the media’s bizarre reaction.
