Award Winning German Author Expresses Deep Concerns About Mass Immigration
“While respecting other cultures, I would still like to keep my own.”
A famous German author criticized his country’s open borders immigration policy, asserting, “while respecting other cultures, I would still like to keep my own.”
Award winning writer and physician, Uwe Tellkamp made the comments during an interview with Süddeutsche Zeitung in which he expressed concern about Germany’s demographic future in light of mass migration.
Tellkamp, who lived under communist rule in the former East Germany, asserted that he isn’t xenophobic, but that “while respecting other cultures, I would still like to keep my own.”
“I don’t want to be like Frankfurt, I don’t want to see the situation in Frankfurt,” said Tellkamp, referring to the German city where a majority of the population are not native Germans.
The author also complained that the media had unfairly smeared Pegida members who protested against mass migration as Nazis and extremists.
Tellkamp previously signed the Joint Statement 2018, which declared, “We observe the damage done to Germany by illegal mass immigration with growing discontent. We declare our solidarity with those who are peacefully rallying for the restoration of the constitutional order at the borders of our country.”
He also pointed out that the vast majority of “refugees” arriving in the country were not genuine refugees.
“Most [refugees] are not trying to escape war and prosecution but come [to Germany] to migrate into the social support system, more than 95 percent,” said Tellkamp.
Earlier this month, we reported on the comments of Canadian sociologist and political commentator Mathieu Bock-Côté, who insisted that mass immigration has weakened social cohesion and created cultural conflict.
A study by academics at the University of Copenhagen found that ethnic diversity has a negative impact on communities because it erodes trust.
Seeking to answer whether “continued immigration and corresponding growing ethnic diversity” was having a positive impact on community cohesion, the study found the opposite to be the case.
As we highlighted last month, German media outlets responded to violent riots in Sweden mainly involving Muslim migrants by claiming the unrest occurred as a result of “right-wing demos.”
Left-wing Swedish Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson responded to the unrest by acknowledging that integration has failed and that mass migration has created parallel societies and gang violence.
Her comments were echoed by Belgian leftist leader Conner Rousseau, who said when he drove through migrant-heavy suburbs like Molenbeek he didn’t feel like he was in Belgium anymore.
Another wonderful feature of Europe’s cultural enrichment was exemplified again last week when a boat migrant from Tunisia raped an English woman in the middle of the street in the Port district of Nice, France.
“France has seen a dramatic increase in rapes and sexual assaults in recent years,” reports ReMix News.
“In countries across Europe, data shows that migrants are vastly overrepresented in sex crimes, including in Germany, Finland, Sweden, and Italy.”

Elon Musk Says He Is Going To Visit “Overwhelmed” Eagle Pass Border This Week
“This is a severe crisis”
Twitter/X owner Elon Musk announced Tuesday that he is going to visit the Southern Border later this week after speaking with Republican Texas Rep. Tony Gonzales.
Musk tweeted that he will visit Eagle Pass, where unprecedented numbers of illegal immigrants have crossed into the U.S. in recent days.
Musk noted that Gonzales told him “it is a serious issue,” and that “they are being overwhelmed.”
Musk has been tweeting and retweeting material in recent days concerning the border crisis, and seems genuinely concerned about what is unfolding.
What could Musk be planning?
According to reports, up to 11,000 illegals are crossing at Eagle Pass every day now.
The new head of the Border Patrol warned earlier this week that the agency cannot protect Americans because they are being forced to process illegal immigrants:

Video: Border Patrol Head Says Agency Cannot Protect U.S. Because They Are Forced To Process So Many Illegals
“In terms of flow and the threats that we’re seeing with Fentanyl and with the criminal organizations that are our adversary, it’s about as bad as I’ve ever seen it”
Jason Owens, the new head of the Border Patrol has warned that the agency is unable to protect Americans from “hardened criminals” smuggling in weapons, drugs and gang members because it is so overwhelmed with processing thousands of illegal immigrants every day.
Appearing on ABC News, Owens stated that the Border Patrol cannot lawfully send back people illegally trying to enter the country over the Southern border, and has to “enforce the laws that are on the books.”
“In terms of flow and the threats that we’re seeing with Fentanyl and with the criminal organizations that are our adversary, it’s about as bad as I’ve ever seen it,” Owens urged.
He continued, “This isn’t sustainable. This is up-and-down the system, everybody is overwhelmed. Even the government of Mexico, which have been great partners for us, the U.S. Border Patrol, a lot of times our facilities are already over capacity.”

House Intelligence Chairman Mike Turner blasted the Biden administration Sunday, charging that they are “encouraging” unsustainable surges at the border.
The GOP Rep. said that “the manner in which they have — have provided assistance to migrants, not really communicating that our borders should be closed. Instead, have encouraging an open border policy.”
“You know, this is a national security and an economic security threat. On national security, we’ve seen individuals on the terrorist watch list be apprehended. We certainly see fentanyl and other drugs coming across the border. On economic security, you even have the mayor of New York saying that it’s destroying his city,” Turner added.
He added that “the Biden administration just in the last 10 days took action to give 200,000 Venezuelans temporary protective status, which includes that they cannot be deported and work privileges.”
“If we had the right policies, they wouldn’t be here. By providing them these — the open assistance, what you’re seeing is an encouragement for others to come,” he further asserted.
