European Commission VP Tells People to ‘Support Ukraine’ by Taking Fewer Showers & Not Washing Their Clothes

Technocrats continue to hide agenda to reduce living standards behind Russian sanctions.

The vice-president of the European Commission suggested citizens should ‘support Ukraine’ and the embargoes on Russia by taking fewer showers, not driving cars, and airing their clothes instead of washing them.

Yes, really.

Frans Timmermans, the Dutch vice-president of the bloc’s executive body, made the remarks during a meeting of the European Parliament’s Environment Committee.

According to Timmermans, Europeans must “Heat less, ride a bike and ventilate your clothes instead of washing,” in order to support punitive measures against Russia that have exacerbated a cost of living crisis for hundreds of millions of people in the west.

The technocrat, who personally doesn’t really need to worry too much about soaring energy costs given his $250,000 a year salary, urged “fellow citizens that they too could do something to move less money into Putin’s pocket.”

“Of course, they can also choose not to do anything, but they can also choose to heat less, go by bike, not by car, take a shower for a shorter time or to ventilate their clothes instead of washing them out,” the Dutch politician said.

Meanwhile, Diederik Samsom, Chief of Staff for Frans Timmermans, asserted, “Energy will be much more expensive as of now. Energy was way too cheap for the last 40 years.”

Samsom, who earns upwards of $200,000 a year, lectured Europeans on how their previous quality of life was dependent on the “unsustainable” combination of Russian fossil fuels and environmental devastation.

“We have profited from it and created enormous wealth at the expense of planet Earth and, as we realise right now, at the expense of geopolitical imbalances [with dependency on Russia],” said Samsom. “Both need to be repaired. In order to repair them we need to pay more for energy – and also for food. The two basic needs of life – food and energy – we have paid way too little for in the past 40 years.”

The advice follows Italy’s move to ration energy by banning air conditioning below 25 degrees celsius and heating higher than 19 degrees in all schools and public buildings.

As Germany’s inflation rate hits a 30 year high, citizens of that country are being told to take fewer showers, with dubious ‘experts’ claiming they will smell better after 3 weeks of now washing properly.

Government minister Peter Hauk also told Germans they should cope with soaring energy costs by merely turning off the heating and wearing warmer sweaters.

“You can withstand 15 degrees [Celsius] in winter in a sweater. No one dies of it. But people are dying elsewhere,” he said.

As we previously highlighted, globalist technocrats have seamlessly transitioned the ‘Great Reset’ agenda for a reduction in living standards into the call to ‘support Ukraine’.

Runaway inflation, soaring food and gas prices that were already a massive issue before Russia’s invasion of Ukraine can now be blamed on Putin while westerners are urged to make the sacrifice for the new religion of supporting ‘the current thing’.

How convenient!

German Government Thinks Russian Gas Pipelines Could Have Been Deliberately Sabotaged

Either Ukrainian attack or a Russian false flag.

Tagesspiegel newspaper reports that a sudden loss of pressure in three natural gas pipelines between Russia and Germany is likely to have been a “targeted attack” carried out by either Russia or Ukraine.

Pressure in the Nord Stream 2 undersea gas pipeline dropped from 300 to 7 bars on Sunday night, followed by a similar occurrence in Nord Stream 1’s on Monday afternoon.

The sudden drop of pressure in the Nord Stream 2 pipeline may also have caused a gas leak near the island of Bornholm in the Baltic Sea, a situation being monitored by Danish authorities.

An anonymous source told Tagesspiegel that German authorities “can’t imagine a scenario that isn’t a targeted attack,” and that their assessment has concluded, “Everything speaks against a coincidence.”

The attack had to be deliberate because it would have been carried out by special forces, navy divers or a submarine which were able to reach the bottom of the sea.

The German government believes Russia could have sabotaged its own pipelines as a “false flag” attack to blame it on Ukraine and drive EU energy prices even higher, an outcome that would pile more pressure on European governments.

The attack could also have been carried out by “Ukraine-affiliated forces” to weaken Russia’s critical infrastructure.

“We are in the process of clarifying the situation here,” a government spokeswoman for the federal ministry of economics told the newspaper. “We don’t currently know what caused the pressure drop.”

Nord Stream 2 was recently completed and was set to “double the volume of gas flowing from Vyborg, Russia, under the Baltic Sea to Germany,” the Guardian reports.

Large protests have taken place in major European cities in recent weeks, with demonstrators urging their governments to accept Russian gas to alleviate the cost of living crisis.

“Nord Stream 2 has been literally just sitting there jam-packed with gas ready to be turned on at any moment and deliver billions of dollars worth of dirt cheap Russian gas every year,” writes Chris Menahan.

Videos: Biden Celebrates ‘Inflation Reduction Act’ As Stock Market Tanks Due To Rising Inflation

It doesn’t get more Orwellian than this

CNN and other news networks broadcast a split screen of Joe Biden ‘celebrating’ the passage of his ‘Inflation Reduction’ Act while the Dow Jones simultaneously tanked to its lowest point for two years on the news that inflation is still at record highs.

Watch:

The Dow Jones fell by over 1,200 points and the S&P 500 fell more than 4% on Tuesday following the August CPI report, which highlighted how inflation rose by 0.1% despite gas prices reducing slightly.

The inflation rate in August was 8.3% according to the report.

The report also found that wages are down 2.8% and energy prices surged 15.8%, the biggest rise in four decades.

Grocery prices are up 13.5% from last year and are at their highest for 43 years.

Some Americans can’t even afford to buy food and are turning to ‘buy now pay later’ desperation:

Yet the White House describes this as “welcome moderation”:

The Press Secretary also claims that the inflation report shows “progress in bringing inflation down.”

Did someone give her the wrong report?

No, she’s just flat out lying again:

German Foreign Minister Says Support For Ukraine Will Continue “No Matter What Voters Think”

War will be prolonged at the expense of her own citizens.

Despite soaring energy prices that threaten the stability of the country, Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock said she would continue to support Ukraine “no matter what German voters think.”

Baerbock made the remarkable comments during an event in Prague yesterday organized by the NGO Forum 2000.

“If I give the promise to people in Ukraine – ‘We stand with you, as long as you need us’ – then I want to deliver. No matter what my German voters think, but I want to deliver to the people of Ukraine,” she said.

The German official said that such an approach would not change even if large numbers of people were out in the streets protesting against crippling energy bills.

“We are facing now wintertime, when we will be challenged as democratic politicians. People will go in the street and say ‘We cannot pay our energy prices’. And I will say ‘Yes I know, so we help you with social measures.’ But I don’t want to say ‘Ok then we stop the sanctions against Russia.’ We will stand with Ukraine, and this means the sanctions will stay also in wintertime, even if it gets really tough for politicians,” said Baerbock.

The comment is a fairly stunning admission that world leaders are intent on prolonging the war for as long as possible, no matter how much it harms the countries they are supposed to represent.

Germans face one of the worst cost of living crises in Europe, with governments arranging ‘warm up spaces’ in major cities where people who can’t pay their bills will go to avoid freezing to death, with blackouts expected.

Citizens have already exhausted supplies of electric heaters, firewood and stoves in many areas as they prepare for energy rationing this winter, while inflation in Germany just hit its highest level in almost 50 years.

Those planning to protest against the situation have also been demonized as domestic extremists by the authorities.

As we reported last month, the interior minister of the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW), Herbert Reul (CDU), outrageously suggested Germans who may be planning to protest against energy blackouts were “enemies of the state” who want to overthrow the government.
