A different virus classified by the World Health Organisation as having ‘pandemic potential’ is spreading more than usual due to care shortages caused by COVID.

The London Telegraph reports that the Nipah virus, which attacks the brain and has an up to 75% fatality rate, has killed a twelve year old boy who was shunted around five different hospitals because of COVID.

It is believed that the boy came into contact with close to 200 people, with two health workers and the boys mother already in isolation after developing the symptoms, which are similar to those of COVID.

The Nipah virus has been known since 1998, but has been contained, with the worst outbreak occurring twenty years ago in West Bengal when 45 out of 66 people infected with the virus died.

The bat-borne virus was the inspiration for the movie Contagion, and while more deadly than COVID it spreads less efficiently.

Health authorities in Kerala where the boy died are urging people to get tested for Nipah, with lockdowns being implemented in the surrounding regions.

“People should continue to wear masks and practice social distancing to stop the Nipah virus from spreading. In hospitals, doctors and nurses can also wear PPE,” said Kerla doctor Arun N Madhavan.

The Telegraph notes that “There are currently no drugs available to treat Nipah, although the WHO has identified the virus as a priority disease for the development of a vaccine.”

In June, The Oxford University team of virologists who developed the COVID AstraZeneca vaccine announced that they had made a “big step forward” in testing the Nipah vaccine.

MSNBC: “Christian Nationalist” Supreme Court “Sided With The Virus” By Shooting Down Vaccine Mandate

Justices “should all just have right-wing talk radio shows”

The Supreme Court’s decision not to uphold Joe Biden’s vaccine mandate for private businesses sparked anger and vitriol on the left, with MSNBC broadcasting programming declaring that the court has “sided with the virus” for not approving compulsory injections.

Joy Reid, yes her again, opened her broadcast by stating “the U.S. Supreme Court siding with the virus today by blocking the Biden administration’s rule requiring vaccine mandates for companies employing more than 100 people.”

She later added “I think they’re ideologues. I think they’re right-wing ideologues I think they’re sort of doing sort of a Christian Nationalist version of you know whatever it is the Supreme Court used to do.”

Reid further proclaimed that the conservative justices on the court “don’t really care if this causes lots of people to die, clearly.”

She also asked “Have they not just simply stated by their actions that they are more in favor of right-wing politics, the kind of DeSantis style right-wing politics than they are in favor of saving lives?”

Reid further declared that the justices “should all just have right-wing talk radio shows,” adding “they are not justices in the great tradition of Supreme Court justices. They’re just politicians. As far as I’m concerned, I see nothing about what they’re doing that I can possibly respect.”

    Watch:

All of that is quite an about turn coming from such a previously stringent anti-vaxxer like Reid.

Reid also doesn’t seem to care about saving lives when it suits her politics.

Other extreme leftists were also distraught that the Supreme Court didn’t approve forced vaccination:

Ikea Says It Will Cut Sick Pay For The Unvaccinated

‘Our approach to COVID-related absences has evolved’

Furniture retailer Ikea has announced that it intends to cut sick pay for any staff who remain unvaccinated and need to self isolate if they test positive or come into contact with someone who tests positive for COVID.

The Daily Mail reports that the Swedish company, which employs some 10,000 people in the UK alone intends to slash sick pay to the legal minimum of just £93.35 per week for anyone who is unvaccinated.

That would mean a cut of more than a three quarters of the company’s usual wages for workers.

“Unvaccinated co-workers without mitigating circumstances who have been identified as close contacts of a positive case will be paid statutory sick pay,” an Ikea spokesperson told reporters.

“We appreciate that this is an emotive topic and all circumstances will be considered on a case by case basis, therefore anyone in doubt or concerned about their situation is encouraged to speak to their manager,” the spokesperson added.

The company announced that the policy will only apply to unvaccinated workers with “high levels of absence.”

The company claims that the move is prompted by recent staff shortages owing to many having to isolate.

“Following the vaccine rollout and changes in the government’s isolation requirements, our approach to COVID-related absences evolved from September 20, 2021—an approach developed with our social partners and national co-worker committee,” the company further declared.

Ikea also recently offered workers paid leave to go and get vaccinated.

As we noted yesterday, oncology professor Angus Dalgleish of St George’s Hospital, University of London has warned that British people have become obsessed with taking lateral flow COVID tests and that “it is tantamount to national self-harm,” because it is causing millions to miss work and isolate even though they have no symptoms.

“Hospitals, transport networks, our postal and rubbish collection services and hundreds of thousands of British businesses are now being crippled because of a mania over checking people for an infection that they may have no symptoms for,” Dalgleish urges.

Noting that the Omicron variant is very mild, but very ‘rampant’ with isolation doing little to combat its spread, the professor further describes self imposed lockdowns as “insanity”.

25-Year-Old Soccer Star Suddenly Collapses, Dies During Training

Marcos Menaldo complained of suffering breathing difficulties.

A 25-year-old Guatemalan soccer star collapsed during training and tragically died shortly after being rushed to hospital.

Marcos Menaldo, a defender who played for Deportivo Marquense, reported suffering breathing difficulties during the training session on Monday.

“The tragedy occurred at the Marquesa de la Ensenada Stadium where Menaldo received emergency CPR treatment on the pitch in San Marcos before being transferred to the Hospital de Especialidades where he died,” reports the Mirror.

Menaldo was a fan favorite after leading his team to the second division title last month.

“A young, dynamic and jovial person, this happens to him. It is quite strong and shocking because you lose not only a player, you lose a friend,” remarked Hernan Maldonado, Deportivo’s club president.

“They transferred him to the assistance centre where they did everything possible. But unfortunately, the death was confirmed,” he added.

The report notes that Menaldo’s death tragically followed that of Croatian footballer Marin Cacic, who died in similar circumstances just before Christmas after suddenly collapsing during training.

The 23-year-old was diagnosed with heart failure before being rushed to a nearby hospital but died on December 23rd.

Back in November, German newspaper Berliner Zeitung published a report seeking to answer why an “unusually large number of professional and amateur soccer players have collapsed recently.”

Other footballers to develop sudden heart or breathing problems in recent weeks and months include Sherrif Tiraspol winger Adama Traore, Sheffield United’s John Fleck, and Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof.

FC Barcelona’s Sergio Agüero, the 33-year-old striker who had to be withdrawn from a match after 41 minutes suffering from dizziness and breathing difficulties, was also recently forced into early retirement.

As we previously highlighted, other professional athletes have also recently suffered similar health problems, including 24-year-old Slovak hockey player Boris Sádecký, who tragically died after collapsing on the ice during a match last year.

28-year-old bodybuilder Jake Kazmarek also died “unexpectedly” four days after taking the COVID jab.

After questions began to swirl about whether vaccine side-effects were playing a role in the spate of incidents, media outlets reassured the public that that this was merely a “coincidence.”

That didn’t stop ex-England pro Matt Le Tissier from calling for a full investigation.

“It’s been very concerning for me watching the sport that I love and I played for 17 years…in all that time that I played I never once saw any footballer leave the pitch because of heart issues,” said Le Tissier.

“Now I’m sorry, but if anybody can look at what’s happening now in the world of sport and say it’s normal for all of these people to be having heart issues, in football matches, cricket matches, basketball matches, any sport you wish, these people, the amount of people that are suffering is going through the roof,” he added.

During a viral podcast with Joe Rogan which was subsequently censored by YouTube, Dr. Peter McCullough warned that soccer players collapsing could be linked to vaccine-induced myocarditis.

McCullough warned that myocarditis has become at least 50% more common than predicted by US public health ‘experts.’

During a live radio show in the UK, ex-footballer Trevor Sinclair mentioned a potential link to vaccines, but he was cut off shortly after beginning his statement.
