UK: Christian Pastor Arrested For Saying Marriage is Between a Man and a Woman
71-year-old released without charge after spending night in jail.
A Christian pastor in the UK was arrested by police after a member of the public reported him for the “homophobic” comment of saying that marriage was between a man and a woman.
Yes, really.
The incident occurred outside Uxbridge Station in west London. A video clip shows the elderly pastor being confronted by police and forcefully handcuffed before being led away.
“I wasn’t making any homophobic comments, I was just defining marriage as a relationship between a man and a woman. I was only saying what the Bible says – I wasn’t wanting to hurt anyone or cause offence,” said John Sherwood, who has been a pastor for 35 years.
“I was doing what my job description says, which is to preach the gospel in open air as well as in a church building,” he added.
Sherwood was arrested under the Public Order Act, for using “abusive or insulting words” that cause “harm” to another person after a member of the public flagged down officers snitched on him.
Although the pastor was released without charge after spending a night in jail he is still under investigation by the Crown Prosecution Service and could be charged at a later date.
“When the police approached me, I explained that I was exercising my religious liberty and my conscience,” he added. “I was forcibly pulled down from the steps and suffered some injury to my wrist and to my elbow. I do believe I was treated shamefully. It should never have happened.”
The UK is notorious for hate crime laws where authorities will investigate supposed “hate incidents” if the “victim” merely perceives themselves to have been victimized.
Earlier this year, we highlighted how officers in Merseyside took part in an electronic ad campaign outside a supermarket which claimed “being offensive is an offence.”
In 2019, UK police investigated the potential “hate crime” of a transgender woman being turned down for a porn role because she still has a penis.
A video published by the UK government Home Office last year also suggested that insulting someone’s appearance now constitutes a “hate crime,” despite this not being the law.

Videos: Biden And Harris LAUGH At Reporters Asking About Afghanistan Mess
What’s so funny?
Both Joe Biden and Kamala Harris were caught on camera Sunday laughing at reporters who asked uncomfortable questions about the debacle in Afghanistan, prompting critics to ask, what is in any way funny about the situation?
Harris, who was AWOL for days after the fall of Kabul to the Taliban, is now in South Asia and was asked by reporters at an airport what the situation is with getting Americans out of Afghanistan.
The vice president burst into laughter again:
Meanwhile, Biden laughed when asked to respond to a CBS News poll that found most Americans do not believe he is “competent, focused or effective” after the disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal.
A separate Rasmussen poll found that most Americans consider Kamala Harris ‘not qualified’ or ‘not at all qualified’ to run the nation:

Women, Kids Killed In Kabul As Biden’s State Dept. Writes Strongly Worded Letter To Taliban Asking Them To Be Nice
“And if that doesn’t work, they can always write a hashtag on a piece of paper and post it on Instagram.”
In another move that makes America look like the laughing stock of the world, Joe Biden’s State Department has penned a letter, which has been signed by multiple other countries (but no Middle Eastern ones), essentially asking the Taliban to be nice to people in Afghanistan.
“We are deeply worried about Afghan women and girls, their rights to education, work and freedom of movement. We call on those in positions of power and authority across Afghanistan to guarantee their protection,” the statement reads.
It sends the chilling warning “We will monitor closely how any future government ensures rights and freedoms that have become an integral part of the life of women and girls in Afghanistan during the last twenty years.”
Good God, imagine the fear that a promise of “monitoring closely” puts into the Taliban.
Why even bother writing that many words? Just send out a Tweet and #BeNiceTaliban. Afterall, the Taliban is on Twitter, and the Washington Post has noted how ‘sophisticated’ the group’s use of social media is.
The State Department’s strongly worded letter comes after the Ambassador to the UN also pointed to “a very strongly worded press statement” from the Security Council asking the Taliban to be respectful:
As we noted yesterday, UNICEF appears to be taking the Taliban at face value after the extremist group declared that it will support education for women and girls, with the head of the UN organisation saying that he has “not a single issue with the Taliban” after they promised to get schools up and running in Afghanistan.

MSNBC Host: It Was OK To Be An Anti-Vaxxer When Trump Was President
“If a psychopath is telling you, this vaccine is what you should take, there’s a good reason not to trust that.”
MSNBC host Joy Reid conveniently explained away the fact that back in September and November 2020 she put out anti-vaccine statements, saying it was ok to do it then because Donald Trump was the President.
“I have taken a lot of heat for having said back in September that, if Donald Trump remained president, I wouldn’t trust anything that was coming out in terms of vaccines that he was offering, and that it was difficult to trust the CDC after he had warped it so thoroughly, and that, even if he wasn’t president, it would be difficult to restore that kind of trust,” Reid said recently.
Here’s an example of anti-vaxxer Reid back then:
During a broadcast last week Reid declared “I said that because, in my mind, a psychopath was president. And if a psychopath is telling you, this vaccine — which is really for my reelection — is what you should take, there’s a good reason not to trust that,” she continued.
“But now there’s not a psychopath in the White House,” Reid clarified.
She then asked Trump’s stranger hater niece Mary Trump “Do you think that there’s some way to shift, kind of, the attitudes of people who are just hesitant, based on the fact that, ‘Look, guys, there’s not a madman there now?”
“You can trust the government when it’s in the hands of someone sane,” Reid further added.
