Supreme Court Judge Expects People Will Be Forced To Wear Masks, Stay Home For TEN YEARS

“It’s politically unrealistic to expect the Government to backtrack now”

British former Supreme Court judge Lord Sumption has warned that “social controls” brought about by the coronavirus pandemic may be kept in place by governments for up to a decade.

“It’s politically unrealistic to expect the Government to backtrack now,” commented Sumption, who has been highly critical of the government’s ‘totalitarian’ lockdown policies.

The judge compared the reaction to rationing after the Second World War, which went on for nine years, adding that this time “I think it may be even longer.”

“An interesting parallel is the continuation of wartime food rationing after the last war. People were in favour of that because they were in favour of social control,” he said during a ‘Sketch notes on’ podcast.

“In the 1951 general election, the Labour party lost its majority entirely because people with five years more experience of social control got fed up with it. Sooner or later that will happen in this country,” he added.

Sumption’s warning comes in the wake of Public Health England officials stating that restrictions will remain in place for as long as other countries have not vaccinated everyone, a process likely to take years.

England’s chief medical officer also recently asserted that the pandemic restrictions, which have been in place on and off for a year, have “improved life” for some people.

Despite promising an end to restrictions in June, the UK government yesterday extended emergency COVID laws until October, with Health minister Matt Hancock refusing to say how long they will remain in place after that.

Lord Sumption also noted during the podcast that scientists skeptical of lockdown policies have been “subjected to an extraordinarily unpleasant campaign of personal abuse”.

“I know a lot of people that would prefer not to put their head above the parapet,” He continued, adding “From the very moment I started to make these points I began to get emails from politicians who agreed with what I had to say but that they themselves didn’t dare to speak out. That I think is a very serious state of affairs.”

The judge also argued that governments are using the virus politically, noting “They have consistently tried to maintain that the virus is indiscriminate when it is perfectly well-established that it primarily affects people with identifiable vulnerabilities, particularly in the elderly.”

Speaking about the draconian crack down on anti-lockdown protesters, Sumption said “People ought to be entitled to voice their differences (of opinion),” adding “If the only way you can enforce distancing is by beating people over the head with truncheons then it’s not worth it.”

Now that Brits have allowed society to be permanently deformed, with polls routinely showing vehement support for lockdown and other pandemic rules, things are never going to be the same again.

Having allowed the precedent that the government can put the entire population under de facto house arrest on a whim, look for the policy to be repeated over and over again with different justifications that have nothing to do with COVID-19.

As we previously highlighted, one of those justifications will be man-made global warming, with climate lockdowns set to become a regular reality.

Video: Paris Police Check Proof of Vaccination While Diners Eat

High visibility patrols appear to be back.

A video out of Paris shows uniformed police officers inside a restaurant checking diners’ vaccine passports in the middle of their meals.

The clip shows cops hovering over the dinner table as they make customers show proof of vaccination on their phones.

One elderly woman appears to be somewhat confused by the checks as there is a delay in her showing her medical papers.

“The Nazis are back in Paris,” commented Benny Johnson.

As we previously highlighted, such scenes were commonplace on the first day that France imposed its vaccine passport scheme back in August.

Police were seen patrolling cafes cafes and bars demanding to see proof of vaccination, even for people sitting outside.

However, just a week later it appeared as though the high visibility action was just a form of intimidation to coerce people into compliance and that such patrols wouldn’t become routine.

Anecdotal evidence detailed by former Google software engineer Mike Hearn suggested that most restaurants, cafes and other businesses in France are not enforcing the controversial system.

“Over a four day stay I was required to show a valid pass exactly zero times; that includes at the airports in both directions. Compliance is absolutely min viable and often lower,” wrote Hearn.

Numerous European countries are suffering record new COVID spikes despite implementing vaccine passport schemes months ago.

As we highlighted earlier, an investigation by experts in Spain has concluded that vaccine passports have no significant impact on reducing COVID-19 infection rates.

They are however very good at people locked in a state of fear and acquiescence.

Spanish Investigation Finds Vaccine Passports Have No Impact on Infection Rates

And also send wrong message that vaccinated can’t spread the virus.

An investigation by experts in Spain has concluded that vaccine passports have no significant impact on reducing COVID-19 infection rates.

Details of the study, carried out by Spain’s inter-regional Covid committee, were obtained by El Pais and reported on by the Telegraph.

Looking at how the scheme has been implemented in other European countries, the experts found that mandating people show proof of vaccination to enter venues like bars, restaurants and cinemas “is not reducing levels of transmission.”

“In European countries where [the system] is being used, cases are rising significantly, although it is true that their level of vaccination is much lower than in Spain,” the report states.

Although Spain doesn’t have vaccine passports at the national level, eight out of 17 regions are using a similar system.

The researchers also concluded that vaccine passport schemes “contribute to a false impression that vaccinated people do not get infected,” when in fact “around 40 per cent of those vaccinated are susceptible to infection and transmitting the infection,” the report states.

The only positives of such a scheme are that it “warns people that there is still danger from the pandemic and encourages vaccination uptake among the reticent.”

In other words, although vaccine passports have no discernible impact on their stated goal – reducing the spread of COVID-19 – they do succeed in keeping people fearful and compliant.

And perhaps that’s the primary goal.

“The findings are similar to evidence found by the UK government – that vaccine passports could increase Covid rates in the country,” writes Ken Macon.

“The government in Wales, UK, also found that, despite introducing vaccine passports, they could not find any evidence that they were working.”

Numerous European countries have imposed vaccine passport schemes that segregate the jabbed from the unjabbed.

In some cases, the option to provide a negative test result has been removed, meaning only those who are fully vaccinated (and yet can still spread the virus) are given permission to enter venues.

Trevor Noah Questions Impartiality of Moderna CEO, Gets Called “Anti-Vaxxer” by His Own Fans

This didn’t go as planned.

The Daily Show’s Trevor Noah questioned whether the CEO of Moderna had a conflict of interest in calling for new vaccines to fight Omicron, only to be attacked as an “anti-vaxxer” by his own fans.

Yes, really.

A clip of the segment was posted on Twitter a few hours ago and is already stoking controversy.

In it, Noah points out that all the cases of Omicron so far have been characterized by mild symptoms, a perfectly accurate point (no one in the world has died from the new variant yet).

“The guy who stands to make millions of dollars from new vaccines says we need new vaccines, huh?” asked Noah.

The comedian then made a joke about Moderna CEO Stéphane Bancel buying a Ferrari with his vast profits.

Earlier this week, Bancel said that existing vaccines wouldn’t provide sufficient protection against the Omicron variant, remarking, “This is not going to be good.”

“I’m not saying that the CEO of Moderna is lying…I’m just saying I don’t think he’s the most objective source on this topic,” said Noah. “I’ll wait to hear what neutral experts say about a new vaccine.”

However, the comments in the thread below what are perfectly cogent comments by Noah are filled with angry leftists denouncing him as an “anti-vaxxer.”

“Jesus. What’s the difference between this and what the anti-vaxx right has been saying?” asked Nick Pappas.

“@Trevornoah indistinguishable from an antivaxxer right now,” complained another.

“This is irresponsible and can get people killed. Shame on y’all,” remarked another.

Questioning the impartiality of the CEO of Moderna when it comes to selling vaccines will “get people killed”?

That’s quite the stretch.

“This is literally the same rhetoric anti-vaxxers use,” said another.

“This is no different than anti vax messaging,” commented another.

A significant portion of other comments however praised Noah for at least showing some level of reasoned skepticism, something that is completely absent in other late night talk show hosts.

Case in point, and we’re sorry to remind you about this, being Stephen Colbert.
