Rand Paul: Dems Are ‘Angry, Unhinged, Deranged By Their Hatred’ Of Trump

“It’s almost as if they have no ability to exist except in opposition to Donald Trump”

Senator Rand Paul argued against the impeachment of Donald Trump Tuesday, urging that “Democrats are about to drag our great country down into the gutter of rancor and vitriol the likes of which has never been seen in our nation’s history.”

Paul proclaimed that Democrats are “angry, unhinged partisans, deranged by their hatred of the former president.”

“Shame on those who seek blame and revenge, and who choose to pervert a constitutional process while doing so,” Paul said on the Senate floor, adding “I want this body on record — every last person here.”

“It’s almost as if they have no ability to exist except in opposition to Donald Trump” Paul declared, explaining that they are more guilty of ‘incitement’ than Trump could be.

Watch:

No Democrat will honestly ask whether Bernie Sanders incited the shooter that nearly killed Steve Scalise,” Paul said, adding “No Democrat will ask whether Maxine Waters incited violence when she literally told her supporters to confront Trump officials in public.”

Paul further stated that while he voted against challenging the electoral college certification of the election, it is beyond the pale to attempt to cancel lawmakers who did.

“I disagreed. I don’t think Congress should overturn the Electoral College but impeaching or censoring, or expelling a member of Congress you disagree with? Is the truth so narrow that only you know the truth?” the Senator noted, in a reference to voter fraud.

Paul’s speech was part of an effort by the Senator to force a vote on the constitutionality of the impeachment trial.

When all was said and done, 45 Republicans voted with Paul, against the impeachment trial.

This means that 5 Republicans in the Senate side with Democrats on the impeachment. Those Senators are Mitt Romney of Utah, Ben Sasse of Nebraska, Susan Collins of Maine, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska and Pat Toomey of Pennsylvania.

Say their names.

Senator Paul noted that given that at least 17 Republicans would have to vote with Democrats, the vote “shows that impeachment is dead on arrival.”

“If you voted that it was unconstitutional then how in the world would you ever hope to convict somebody for this?” Paul asked, adding ,”45 of us, almost the entire caucus, 95% of the caucus, voted that the whole proceeding was unconstitutional.”

“This is a big victory for us. Democrats can beat this partisan horse as long as they want — this vote indicates it’s over, the trial is all over,” Paul declared.

Video: Trump Calls General Milley A “F*cking Idiot”

“I’ll never forget Milley saying to me, ‘Sir, sir. It’s cheaper to leave the equipment [in Afghanistan] than to bring it.’”

During an impromptu speech at a dinner in his Mar-a-Lago club on Saturday President Trump addressed a crowd and declared that The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff is a “fucking idiot.”

Trump made the comment about General Mark Milley in the context of Joe Biden’s calamitous withdrawal from Afghanistan.

Trump impersonated Milley in a gravelly voice, noting “I’ll never forget Milley saying to me, ‘Sir, sir. It’s cheaper to leave the equipment than to bring it.’”

Trump continued, “You think it’s cheaper to leave it there so they can have it than it is to fill it up with a half tank of gas and fly it into Pakistan or fly it back to our country?

“‘Yes, sir, we think it’s cheaper, sir.’” Trump continued with the impersonation.

The the President added, “That’s when I realized he was a fucking idiot.”

Watch:

Elsewhere during the appearance, Trump slammed the media, urging “The country is at a very important, dangerous place… We have no press. The press is so corrupt. We don’t have a press. If there is a good story about us, a good story about any of the people that are Republicans, conservatives, they make it a bad story. And if it’s a bad story they make it the worst story in history. It is the most dishonest group of people.”

Trump added “when I first announced I was running in 2015 [the media] had a 94%-95% approval rating. And right now they have a lower approval rating than Congress.”

“I consider that to be a great honor because they are a bunch of very dishonest, crooked bastards,” he added.

Trump also couldn’t resist gloating about CNN firing Chris Cuomo, noting “CNN finally fired Fredo. He should have never had a job in the first place. I called him Fredo. Chris Cuomo. We fought. Now Fredo is fired.”

Video: Trump Warns Central American Countries Are “Emptying Their Prisons Into The U.S.”

“What are they doing? They are destroying our country.”

In an interview with Sean Hannity Thursday, President Trump urged that America cannot take much more of the Biden administration’s policies, urging that central American countries are being allowed to “empty their prisons into the U.S.”

Trump said that “All they (had) to do was leave (the border) alone. The wall was almost complete… one thing you didn’t see was drugs. Drugs were at their lowest point, in particular Fentanyl, which is a brutal drug. It was stopped, it was at a level we had not seen in a long time.”

“Now it’s coming in at levels that we have never seen: Three, four, five times more than we ever had coming in… There’s something wrong,” Trump added, further declaring “You wouldn’t believe you could even say this, but somebody doesn’t love our country.”

“When they allow this to happen to our country, we have hundreds of thousands of people pouring in every two weeks,” Trump emphasised, adding that Central American countries are “emptying their prisons into the United States.”

“Some of the toughest people on earth are being dumped into the United States because they don’t want them. They don’t want to take care of them for the next 40 years. These people that are the roughest prisoners, anywhere, are being dumped into the United States for us to take care of them,” the former President explained.

“What are they doing? They are destroying our country,” an exasperated Trump asked.

Elsewhere in the interview, Trump commented on the Biden administration targeting parents who do not want their children being subjected to vaccine mandates and the teaching of critical race theory in schools.

“The country can’t take much more of it, they can’t do it,” Trump said, adding “Those school parents — those are parents that love their country and they love their children. And they don’t want all of this nonsense that’s being fed to their children. They just don’t want it. And, you know, they are trying to make them out to be terrorists.”

Video: Trump Slams “Incompetent” Biden Afghanistan Debacle; Allies Confirm It’s Almost Certain He’ll Run In 2024

“We were embarrassed in front of the world”

In an interview with Newsmax Tuesday, President Trump slammed the Biden administration’s calamitous Afghanistan withdrawal, labelling it “the most incompetently handled withdrawal or anything else in the history of our country.”

“We’re embarrassed in front of the world,” Trump continued, adding “I don’t think our country has ever seen a period like this, how badly we’re doing, and then you take a look at the border. And worst of all is what took place in Afghanistan.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Trump said it was incredible that Afghans that were taken out aboard US planes were not vetted.

“It was just revealed today that they didn’t vet the people. They didn’t vet any of these people coming out. They’re vetting them now they’re already out,” Trump warned.

Trump also slammed the decision to leave Americans stranded, stating “Can you imagine getting the military out, before you get your citizens, American people out? They took the military out first. We would have taken it out last.”

The 45th President also blasted the abandonment of military equipment, which has fallen into Taliban hands.

“Brand new Apache, the most incredible weapon you’ve ever seen, the Apache helicopters, brand new – brand new out of the box, as they say – and they got ’em,” Trump said adding “Now they have one of the best-equipped armies in the world, can you believe it? From having knives to having the best planes and tanks and trucks.”

‘Why didn’t we take it out? It’s not even conceivable we didn’t take this stuff out,” Trump urged, adding “We left them airplanes, helicopters, why didn’t we fly that stuff out? Billions of dollars.”

    Watch:

Meanwhile, Joe Biden was heckled in New Jersey with locals calling him “despicable” another yelling “resign, you tyrant!” and a third yelling “You leave Americans behind!”

    Watch:

Reports have detailed that close allies of Trump believe it is almost certain that he will run against Biden in 2024.

Trump’s former campaign spokesman Jason Miller told reporters “I would say somewhere between 99 and 100 percent. I think he is definitely running in 2024.”

“I had a good conversation with him last night. I’m going to go see him in another couple days here,” Miller added.

Ohio Congressman Jim Jordan was also captured on video responding to the question ‘do you think Trump will run again’ with the answer “I know so”.

“I talked to him yesterday,” Jordan said, adding “he’s about ready to announce after all of this craziness in Afghanistan.”
