Video: Tucker Carlson Declares Trump Has “Reached His Expiration Date”

During his broadcast Thursday night, Tucker Carlson declared that President Trump has reached the end of his ‘shelf life’, that it is unhealthy for America to be focusing so relentlessly on one man, and that Trump acted ‘recklessly’ in encouraging supporters to march on the Capitol.

Carlson opined that Trump has an “expiration date” and suggested he is no longer “worth all of this time and attention.”

“We’ve gone from being this big continental country with an enormous span of concerns and interests to a sweaty chat room of 300 million people all of whom are focused on a single man, Donald Trump. That is not healthy no matter how you feel about Trump,” Carlson urged.

“At some point you’ve got to wonder about where our country is putting all of its energy. Is any single president, anyone worth all of this time and attention?” Tucker noted, adding “All politicians whether you agree with them or not come with a shelf life, they are people.”

“They don’t last forever, none of us do. In Trump’s case, the expiration date arrives in 13 days and after that he will not be president,” the host continued, adding that “freedoms are more important than any single politician.”

“Donald Trump could become immortal and win the next 40 presidential elections and his daughter the next 40 after that but if America becomes a place where you have to violate your own conscience in order to hold a job, we are not allowed to protect your family from mob violence, where your children can’t afford to get married and raise your grandchildren because employers don’t like their skin color, then what’s the point of all of this?’ Carlson asked.

Tucker slammed the GOP establishment for continually ignoring Trump’s base, and instead defending the “personal reputations of its leaders.”

“Thirteen days from now, these voters will not have Donald Trump to protect them, they won’t have anyone unless the Republican party decides to wake up and push back against the lies and progress and acknowledge the purpose of those lies which is an unprecedented crackdown on the way you live,” he urged.

“Donald Trump thinks exclusively about Donald Trump but so does almost every single Democrat in congress as well as every single Republican. All of them is Trump obsessed,” Carlson emphasised.

“Who’s got your concerns top of mind? Who wakes up in the middle of the night about your family?” he openly wondered.

“The point of the Republican party is to protect its voters. In practice that means protecting the bill of rights, the most basic freedoms and bedrock promises of American life – without them you wouldn’t want to live here,” the host stated.

The host described the incidents at the Capitol as a “political protest that got out of hand after the president recklessly encouraged it.”

Carlson added, however, that to call the events “insurrection” or “domestic terrorism,” as many Democrats and leftist media talking heads have, is an exaggeration.

Carlson urged that Democrats are using the Capitol storm as a “pretext for an unprecedented crackdown on civil liberties.”

“Just in the last several hours we have heard people in positions of power and authority demand that those who support Donald Trump should no longer be allowed to publish books or use the internet or fly on airplanes,” the host proclaimed.

“CNN describes it as an insurrection, Chuck Schumer likened it to Pearl Harbor, it was our generation’s 9/11 and, needless to say, it was ‘white supremacy’,” Carlson noted.

“They understand how to use language, not simply to describe what is happening, they use it to political ends. It wasn’t an insurrection, stop with the lying,” he demanded.

Speaking publicly for the first time since the end of his first term, President Trump riled leftists by urging that the ‘integrity’ of women’s sports is under threat from trans athletes, a phenomenon that is being supported by the new administration.

Shockingly, Trump claimed that trans athletes competing in sports against women were born men.

How dare he point out a biological fact!

The choice of Trump’s words was over-analysed by the froth brigade:

Trump wasn’t pointing out that it isn’t a level playing field when people with bigger muscles and bone structures are allowed to compete in sports against women. No, he was ‘mocking’ trans genders:

USA Today Poll: Republicans Willing To Ditch GOP For Trump

Only 19% say they side with establishment Republicans

A USA Today/Suffolk University poll released Sunday revealed that around half of Republicans are willing to leave the party behind and jump ship to a Trump led third party.

The findings serve as a stark reminder to the party that President Trump is still the preeminent figure in US conservative politics.

The poll reveals that 46% of Republicans would follow Trump to a new party, with only around a quarter (26%) saying they would stay with the GOP. The remaining respondents are undecided.

The poll also found that a majority of Trump voters (54%) are more loyal to the candidate than the GOP (34%).

Only 19% said that they feel voters should ditch Trump and embrace establishment Republicans in the GOP.

The poll also found that the Democrat impeachment show trial made just 4% of Republican voters less supportive of Trump, while 42% say it made them more supportive, and 54% say it didn’t affect their support.

The poll found that Trump voters want him to run again in 2024 by a 2-1 margin, with 85% saying they would vote for him in a general election, after 76% saying they support him for the Republican nomination.

Suffolk University Political Research Center Director David Paleologos also noted that, according to the poll, there has been “a seismic shift in the landscape of trusted news sources for conservatives in the country.”

Just before Trump was elected in 2016, Fox News had a 58% trust rating among conservatives. That is now down to just 34%.

Breaking a one month silence Wednesday, President Trump appeared on a number of cable news channels, hinting at a 2024 run, a potential launch of his own social media platform, and slamming Joe Biden for lying about the coronavirus vaccine rollout.

Appearing on Newsmax, Trump addressed Biden’s blatant lie Tuesday night about there being no available vaccine.

“I saw that he said there was no vaccine before he came into office and yet he got a shot before he came into office,” Trump said.

“So either he’s not telling the truth or he’s mentally gone. One or the other,” he added.

“He’s getting killed on this,” Trump continued, adding “Even the haters said, ‘Well wait a minute, this vaccine was announced long before.'”

“Could he be joking? Because, frankly, that was a very dumb statement,” Trump considered.

Biden admitted Tuesday night that he wakes up every day and asks where the hell he is, since moving into the White House.

Elsewhere during the conversation, Trump admitted that he misses being the President, saying “Everything was happening great… It’s too bad.”

When asked if he is considering another run, Trump replied “I won’t say yet, but we have tremendous support.”

“It’s too early to say… but I see a lot of great polls out there,” he added.

Referring to his rising popularity among conservatives, Trump declared “I’m the only one who gets impeached and my numbers go up. I mean figure that one out.”

Referring to social media, Trump proclaimed “We don’t want to go back to Twitter,” adding: “I understand it’s become very boring and millions are leaving.”

Trump said his team is looking at different options for a social media return, and is “negotiating with a number of people,” but also intimated that he could build his own platform.

“We’re looking at a lot of different things,” Trump said.
