Video: Tucker Carlson Declares Trump Has “Reached His Expiration Date”
“At some point you’ve got to wonder about where our country is putting all of its energy”; “Freedoms are more important than any single politician.”

During his broadcast Thursday night, Tucker Carlson declared that President Trump has reached the end of his ‘shelf life’, that it is unhealthy for America to be focusing so relentlessly on one man, and that Trump acted ‘recklessly’ in encouraging supporters to march on the Capitol.
Carlson opined that Trump has an “expiration date” and suggested he is no longer “worth all of this time and attention.”
“We’ve gone from being this big continental country with an enormous span of concerns and interests to a sweaty chat room of 300 million people all of whom are focused on a single man, Donald Trump. That is not healthy no matter how you feel about Trump,” Carlson urged.
“At some point you’ve got to wonder about where our country is putting all of its energy. Is any single president, anyone worth all of this time and attention?” Tucker noted, adding “All politicians whether you agree with them or not come with a shelf life, they are people.”

“They don’t last forever, none of us do. In Trump’s case, the expiration date arrives in 13 days and after that he will not be president,” the host continued, adding that “freedoms are more important than any single politician.”
“Donald Trump could become immortal and win the next 40 presidential elections and his daughter the next 40 after that but if America becomes a place where you have to violate your own conscience in order to hold a job, we are not allowed to protect your family from mob violence, where your children can’t afford to get married and raise your grandchildren because employers don’t like their skin color, then what’s the point of all of this?’ Carlson asked.
Tucker slammed the GOP establishment for continually ignoring Trump’s base, and instead defending the “personal reputations of its leaders.”
“Thirteen days from now, these voters will not have Donald Trump to protect them, they won’t have anyone unless the Republican party decides to wake up and push back against the lies and progress and acknowledge the purpose of those lies which is an unprecedented crackdown on the way you live,” he urged.
“Donald Trump thinks exclusively about Donald Trump but so does almost every single Democrat in congress as well as every single Republican. All of them is Trump obsessed,” Carlson emphasised.
“Who’s got your concerns top of mind? Who wakes up in the middle of the night about your family?” he openly wondered.

“The point of the Republican party is to protect its voters. In practice that means protecting the bill of rights, the most basic freedoms and bedrock promises of American life – without them you wouldn’t want to live here,” the host stated.
The host described the incidents at the Capitol as a “political protest that got out of hand after the president recklessly encouraged it.”
Carlson added, however, that to call the events “insurrection” or “domestic terrorism,” as many Democrats and leftist media talking heads have, is an exaggeration.
Carlson urged that Democrats are using the Capitol storm as a “pretext for an unprecedented crackdown on civil liberties.”
“Just in the last several hours we have heard people in positions of power and authority demand that those who support Donald Trump should no longer be allowed to publish books or use the internet or fly on airplanes,” the host proclaimed.
“CNN describes it as an insurrection, Chuck Schumer likened it to Pearl Harbor, it was our generation’s 9/11 and, needless to say, it was ‘white supremacy’,” Carlson noted.
“They understand how to use language, not simply to describe what is happening, they use it to political ends. It wasn’t an insurrection, stop with the lying,” he demanded.

Video: Angry Trump Denounces Capitol Storm As “Heinous Attack”
“Those who broke the law, you will pay”; “A new administration will be inaugurated on Jan 20”

In his first address since the Capitol was stormed on Wednesday, President Trump appeared angry about how the events unfolded, and called the incident a “heinous attack,” promising that those who broke the law “will pay”, and noting that a new administration will be inaugurated in twelve days, with a peaceful transition of power.
Trump said he is “outraged by the violence, lawlessness and mayhem” witnessed during the “heinous attack on the Capitol.”
He added that “the demonstrators who infiltrated the Capitol have defiled the seat of American democracy,” adding that those who “engaged in the acts of violence and destruction… do not represent our country.”

The President addressed the coming days, noting “we have just been through an intense election and emotions are high. But now tempers must be cooled and calm restored. We must get on with the business of America.”
“My campaign vigorously pursued every legal avenue to contest the election result. My only goal was to ensure the integrity of the vote. In so doing I was fighting to defend American democracy”, Trump stated.
Trump urged “we must reform our election laws to verify the identity and eligibility of all voters and ensure faith and confidence in all future elections.”
“Congress has certified the results. A new administration will be inaugurated on Jan 20. My focus now turn to ensuring the smooth, orderly and seamless transition of power. This moment now calls for healing and reconciliation,” Trump concluded.
In what could be his final statement as President, Trump said “To the citizens of our country, serving as your president has been the honor of a lifetime. And to all of my wonderful supporters, I know you are disappointed but I also want you to know that our incredible journey is only just beginning.”

Pelosi Calls For Trump Impeachment; Pence Says No To 25th
“Yesterday the president of the United States incited an armed insurrection against America”

Nancy Pelosi joined Chuck Schumer Thursday in calling for President Trump to be impeached and removed from office under the 25th amendment, a move that would also prevent him seeking a second term in 2024.
Both called the breach inside the Capitol an ‘insurrection’, and proof that Trump is unfit to remain President for another 12 days, or ever take office again.
labelling Trump a “very dangerous person”, Pelosi said that “this is an emergency of the highest magnitude,” adding “If the vice president and the cabinet do not act the congress may be prepared to move forward with impeachment.”
“Yesterday the president of the United States incited an armed insurrection against America,” Pelosi claimed, adding that “in calling for this seditious act, the president has committed an unspeakable assault on our nation.”

After comparing the events of Wednesday to the attack on Pearl Harbor, Chuck Schumer also called for impeachment via the 25th amendment:
The quickest and most effective way—it can be done today—to remove this president from office would be for the Vice President to immediately invoke the 25th amendment.
— Chuck Schumer (@SenSchumer) January 7, 2021
If the Vice President and the Cabinet refuse to stand up, Congress must reconvene to impeach President Trump.
As we reported yesterday, Democrats are circling articles of impeachment and lobbying VP Mike Pence to get on board with them in an effort to stop Trump ever holding any office again:
Worth noting: They seek not only to remove Trump from office, but also to bar him from ever running again.

Members of Trump’s own cabinet were reportedly considering the move, but it appears Pence has already ruled it out, according to insiders.

Trump’s Own Cabinet Considering 25th Amendment To Impeach, Bar 2nd Term
Democrats urge Pence “For the sake of our democracy, we emphatically urge you to invoke the 25th Amendment and begin the process of removing President Trump from power”

Following the chaos that unfolded at the Capitol building Wednesday, reports are circling that members of President Trump’s own cabinet, as well as lawmakers on both sides of the aisle, are considering invoking the 25th Amendment to remove Trump from office and, more importantly, bar him from seeking a second term in office.
CBS News, among others, reported that cabinet members have been discussing invoking the amendment that is reserved for when the president is “unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office.”
CBS News reports members of the Cabinet are considering the 25h Amendment: pic.twitter.com/fN47wXj0G7
— The Recount (@therecount) January 7, 2021
The 25th provides the vice president and ‘a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress’ the ability to remove the president from office.
Impeachment under the 25th amendment would effectively bar Trump from being able to seek a second term in office in 2024.
Democratic representatives have sent a letter to Mike Pence requesting that he invoke the amendment, according to NBC News.
The Democrats wrote “Even in his video announcement this afternoon, President Trump revealed that he is not mentally sound and is still unable to process and accept the results of the 2020 election.”
“President Trump’s willingness to incite violence and social unrest to overturn the election results by force clearly meet this standard,” the letter continued, adding “so too are his recent tweets, which Twitter has since deleted, saying the election was ‘stolen’ and that today’s riots ‘are the things and events that happen.”
“For the sake of our democracy, we emphatically urge you to invoke the 25th Amendment and begin the process of removing President Trump from power,” the letter concludes.
The notion is also being pushed by prominent lobbyists.
The National Association of Manufacturers head Jay Timmons stated that “Vice President Pence, who was evacuated from the Capitol, should seriously consider working with the Cabinet to invoke the 25th Amendment to preserve democracy.”
“The outgoing president incited violence in an attempt to retain power, and any elected leader defending him is violating their oath to the Constitution and rejecting democracy in favor of anarchy,” Timmons said, adding “This is not law and order. This is chaos. It is mob rule. It is dangerous. This is sedition and it should be treated as such.”
While the 25th is being secretly debated in Congress, former US Defense Secretary Jim Mattis went one further by suggesting that President Trump should face exile.
For four years, Trump opponents have been calling for the 25th amendment to be invoked, with the likes of CNN even advocating for a new amendment to the Constitution to prevent Trump or anyone like him from ever taking office again.
Reports are also now circling that multiple White House officials are planning to resign.
US Deputy National Security Advisor Matthew Pottinger already quit, and was followed by Deputy White House Press Secretary Sarah Matthews:
