Pelosi Calls For Trump Impeachment; Pence Says No To 25th

“Yesterday the president of the United States incited an armed insurrection against America”

Nancy Pelosi joined Chuck Schumer Thursday in calling for President Trump to be impeached and removed from office under the 25th amendment, a move that would also prevent him seeking a second term in 2024.

Both called the breach inside the Capitol an ‘insurrection’, and proof that Trump is unfit to remain President for another 12 days, or ever take office again.

labelling Trump a “very dangerous person”, Pelosi said that “this is an emergency of the highest magnitude,” adding “If the vice president and the cabinet do not act the congress may be prepared to move forward with impeachment.”

“Yesterday the president of the United States incited an armed insurrection against America,” Pelosi claimed, adding that “in calling for this seditious act, the president has committed an unspeakable assault on our nation.”

After comparing the events of Wednesday to the attack on Pearl Harbor, Chuck Schumer also called for impeachment via the 25th amendment:

As we reported yesterday, Democrats are circling articles of impeachment and lobbying VP Mike Pence to get on board with them in an effort to stop Trump ever holding any office again:

Members of Trump’s own cabinet were reportedly considering the move, but it appears Pence has already ruled it out, according to insiders.

Video: Trump Says He’s “Beyond Serious” About 2024 Run

“I’ve got tremendous numbers … there is more popularity [for me] now than there was the day before the election”

President Trump again strongly hinted that he is preparing for a 2024 run Monday, and urged that the GOP must run on the MAGA agenda if it is to win back Congress next year.

Trump spoke with Fox News host Sean Hannity, noting “I am looking at it very seriously, beyond seriously.”

“From a legal standpoint, I don’t want to really talk about it yet, it’s a little too soon,” Trump added.

While details were scant, Trump did say that a run depends on getting “the right people” in the Senate and the House, and that he is planning to be a major part of the mid term campaigns.

“If they need a rally, we’ll do a rally, we’ll do calls, we’ll do all sorts of things,” Trump said, adding “Almost everybody I endorse wins.”

Trump said that if Republicans “want to win and win big,” they must run on his “Make America Great” agenda.

Trump emphasised “Look, I’ve got tremendous numbers … there is more popularity [for me] now than there was the day before the election, because they see how bad things are at the border. They see what is going on, they see that their guns are gonna be gone … their taxes are going up. Regulations are going through the roof. Job [losses] are going to go up…”

Trump described the border crisis as “a horrible situation [that] could destroy our country,” adding “There’s never been anything like what’s happened at our border and people are coming in by the tens of thousands.”

As regards gun control, Trump stated “I don’t know if Joe knows what’s going on with [the Second Amendment], because I think you have a cabal, you have a group of people that are sitting around a table just saying do this, do this, do this. They’re giving him these things to sign.”

Trump Blasts Biden’s Tax Hike As “Globalist Betrayal”

A “cruel and heartless attack on the American dream”

After Joe Biden proposed a huge tax hike to pay for a $2-3 trillion spending spree, President Trump blasted it as a “globalist betrayal” and a “cruel and heartless attack on the American dream.”

Despite promising not to raise taxes for middle class Americans, Biden’s latest Spending proposal will likely effect people at the earning threshold of $200,000 per year, with the White House now suggesting that the previously announced $400,000 threshold for tax increases applies only to families, and not individuals.

Trump labeled the hike as “a massive giveaway to China, and many other countries, that will send thousands of factories, millions of jobs, and trillions of dollars to these competitive Nations.”

Trump continued, “Biden’s ludicrous multi-trillion dollar tax hike is a strategy for total economic surrender. Sacrificing good paying American jobs is the last thing our citizens need as our country recovers from the effects of the Global Pandemic.”

Trump concluded “This tax hike is a classic globalist betrayal by Joe Biden and his friends: the lobbyists will win, the special interests will win, China will win, the Washington politicians and government bureaucrats will win — but hardworking American families will lose.”

Trump also took part in an interview Wednesday with his daughter-in-law Lara, which was swiftly erased from Facebook and other social media sites.

During the interview, he suggested that he may soon hold a huge rally ” just to let everybody know that there’s hope in the future.”

“I love doing them,” Trump said of the rallies.

Video: Trump Responds To ‘Outrageous’ Biden Claims During ‘Ridiculous’ First Presser

Biden claimed that he won’t ‘leave children starving on the border like Trump did’

President Trump responded to claims made against him by Joe Biden during the latter’s first press conference in two months, calling the entire sorry spectacle ‘ridiculous’.

Biden bumbled through the event, often losing his train of thought even though he had a binder full of prepared answers and pictures to help him identify the reporters. He even randomly wandered away from the microphone at points.

Appearing on Fox News, Trump said “The whole thing was ridiculous. You know it and so do I.”

He noted that every question was a softball, calling it “a different world,” from when he was president, also noting “I noticed [Fox News’] Peter Doocy didn’t get to ask a question today. And there can be no difficult questions, and [White House aides] are ready to rip the microphone away if somebody did get a little bit testy.”

At one point when asked about the border crisis, Biden claimed “When an unaccompanied child ends up at the border, we [aren’t] going to let them starve to death and stay on the other side — No previous administration did that either, except Trump. I’m not going to do it.”

President Trump responded, emphasising “First of all, it’s just the opposite. By the time we finished what we were doing [on the border], very few people were coming up because they knew they weren’t going to get through. We stopped ‘catch and release’ — which was a disaster.”

“The very biggest thing was, we had the Remain In Mexico policy, and that means that we wouldn’t allow people to wait in our country until they were totally checked out, which most of them didn’t get checked out, and they would go back to their own country,” Trump added.

“If young kids were with parents, but a lot of times, they weren’t, and we would take care of them, but … what they are doing now is outrageous. And they should finish the wall,” Trump added.

As we have covered, there are now upwards of 15,000 children being held in squalid conditions on the border, with over 100,000 more expected to arrive over the course of the year.

Trump noted that “at the southern border, [Democrats] are destroying our country,” adding that Biden is an “absolute embarrassment”.

Trump also pointed to the communist Chinese delegation laughing in the faces of Biden’s foreign policy team last week when human rights abuses were brought into the conversation.

Trump said the US delegation “should have walked out,” adding “Nobody ever talked to my group that way… If they did, I would have doubled up the tariffs — which, frankly, were something we probably should have done, anyway.”

“I took in billions and billions of dollars from China. We were bringing businesses back. It was really going well. And China respected us. They never spoke to us the way they spoke [to Biden’s team],” Trump further declared.
