Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador slammed lockdowns as a form of “dictatorship” during a press conference, telling reporters that such measures betray “authoritarian instincts.”

The populist leftist leader, known as AMLO by his supporters, said that COVID-19 lockdowns were “fashionable among authorities…who want to show they are heavy handed, dictatorship.”

“A lot of them are letting their authoritarian instincts show,” he added, noting that, “The fundamental thing is to guarantee liberty.”

Obrador also insisted that mask-wearing should be voluntary and not mandated by the state.

As National File highlights, while other Latin American countries have imposed strict lockdowns, AMLO has spoke out against stay-at-home orders, although authorities in different regions have

“For example, the third most populous state in Mexico, Jalisco, currently governed by the opposition left-liberal Citizens’ Movement, has introduced a mask mandate in all public areas,” writes Eduardo Rivero.

“Other states have gone further still, introducing stay-at-home orders and shutting non-essential businesses. Even states governed by conservative politicians, such as Puebla, Nuevo León and Tamaulipas, have adopted strict lockdown restrictions.”

People on Volcano-Stricken Island Told They Won’t Be Rescued if They Haven’t Had the COVID Vaccine

Cruise ships will only evacuate the inoculated.

People on the volcano-stricken island of St. Vincent have been told by the country’s Prime Minister that they won’t be rescued if they haven’t taken the COVID vaccine.

Yes, really.

Cruise ships were dispatched to evacuate the island after the 4,000-foot high volcano La Soufrière erupted on Friday.

However, Ralph Gonsalves, the Prime Minister of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, gave a press conference warning that those who hadn’t taken the jab would be left to fend for themselves.

“The chief medical officer would be identifying the persons already vaccinated so that we can get them on the ship,” Gonsalves said.

16,000 people are being evacuated from the ‘red zone’ areas of the island that are most at risk, but that number won’t include those who for whatever reason haven’t taken the shot.

“If people are willing to welcome you at a time of COVID-19, they will wish you to have the highest level of protection possible,” Gonsalves told the media.

According to local officials, some people don’t want to be evacuated because they are scared they’ll be forced to take the vaccine.

This is another example of how vaccination status is being used by governments around the world to deny people basic necessities, including being rescued from a natural disaster.

Numerous countries are preparing to implement vaccine passports which would deny the unvaccinated from entering certain venues, which could eventually extend to pubs, restaurants, cinemas and shops.

MSNBC’s Joy Reid Says She Will Double Mask & Avoid Indoor Activities Even After Getting the Vaccine

Critics say such rhetoric is undermining confidence in the COVID shot.

Prominent figures are receiving criticism for undermining confidence in the COVID-19 vaccine by vowing to continue to wear masks and avoid normal activities even after taking the shot, with MSNBC’s Joy Reid being the latest example.

Reid said that even after taking her second coronavirus shot, she’d be too scared to return to any semblance of normality.

“I too am one vax down, but even when I get the second shot, I am too ‘scurred’ to be out there wildin. No flying and no indoor activities for me. Nope!” the MSNBC host tweeted on Sunday.

She followed it up by vowing to wear two face masks “for the forseeable future.”

In what appears to be some kind of bizarre enjoyment of mask mandates and lockdown rules, many of those who have proudly shared vaccine selfies have also vowed to continue to act as if nobody at all had received the vaccine.

This has led to assertions that such rhetoric will only serve to put young people off getting the vaccine since they will receive no benefit in terms of getting back personal freedoms.

“If you wanted to persuade people not to get the vaccine, one of the best ways to do it would be to tell people that it won’t improve or really even change their quarantined lives much if they get it,” tweeted journalist Glenn Greenwald. “Regardless of intention, this is an anti-vaccine message spread by MSNBC.”

“Party of science” really having a hard time with the scientific miracle of vaccines,” noted Drew Holden.

Americans who have followed all the rules for over a year, worn masks and took or plan on taking the vaccine bought the line that things would get “back to normal” if they complied.

Now that celebrities and media figures are vowing to extend social distancing, mask wearing and avoid major events until God knows when, many are now asking what was the point?

Chile: Elderly Woman Denied Entry to Supermarket After Failing to Obtain Government Permission to Buy Food

Lockdown rules mandate ‘safe conduct pass’ to shop.

Published

A video out of Chile shows an elderly woman being refused entry to a supermarket because she didn’t obtain the necessary government permission to buy groceries under the country’s lockdown rules.

The clip shows the woman, who is apparently 100-years-old, appearing to be confused as she is denied access by security guards in uniform.

“Unfortunately government measures are not intended for the most vulnerable, not everyone handles the technology, not everyone has access to the internet,” tweeted Radio Villa Francia along with the video.

In Chile, people have to apply for a “safe conduct pass” online, which only allows them to buy essential food items twice a week between the hours of 5am and 9pm.

Under the country’s ‘sanitary quarantine’, citizens must request “temporary instruments that authorize people to carry out fundamental activities and stock up on essential goods and services” in their communes.

The elderly lady’s failure to obtain the pass may have been related to her presumed inability to navigate the Internet.

The video serves as a chilling reminder as to what could be introduced in the west once vaccine passports and Chinese-style social credit score programs are implemented.

In the UK, vaccine passports won’t initially be required to enter venues like pubs, restaurants and grocery stores, but the government refused to rule it out longer term in their planning document.

In China, citizens who allow their social credit score to dip as a result of committing relatively minor infractions are denied the right to purchase things like plane and train tickets.
