“Violence Works”: Danish Newspaper Refuses to Publish Mohammad Cartoons

“I wish it was different.”

The Danish newspaper that provoked violent worldwide protests after publishing cartoons of the Prophet Mohammad in 2005 has refused to do so again, with its editor-in-chief commenting, “Violence works.”

The decision follows the beheading of school teacher Samuel Paty in Paris for showing similar cartoons to pupils in his class and another attack yesterday in Nice during which three people were killed near a church, including a woman who was decapitated.

The culprit in Paris was a Chechen refugee who French authorities had given residency papers to back in March, while the jihadist in Nice was a boat migrant who arrived in Italy from Tunisia last month.

Now Jacob Nybroe, editor-in-chief of Jyllands-Posten, says his newspaper will not accept ads being run by Danish political party the New Right, which includes cartoons of Mohammad, due to the risk of a violent backlash.

The cartoons are being run in collaboration with Charlie Hebdo to “show support for the victims of Islamic violence,” but Nybroe says his newspaper can play no part in it.

“Security for us is unfortunately not a theoretical, moral, or political consideration,” Nybroe said.

“I wish it was different, that we could express ourselves freely, as we do in all other matters. But violence works,” he added.

“Only in one circumstance do we show caution – that is, in fact, a censorship inflicted on us by threats: we do not show drawings of the Prophet Muhammad,” Nybroe explained.

After Jyllands-Posten published 12 cartoons to spark a debate about criticism of Islam, the move prompted global violent riots as well as numerous threats against newspaper staff.

The backlash was described by former Danish Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen as “Denmark’s worst international crisis since World War II.”

Three other Danish newspapers said they would review the cartoons before deciding whether to publish them.

Don’t hold your breath.

Le Pen Warns Macron: “Danger of Civil War” Unless Islamist Problem Tackled

Says letter written by active duty military personnel offers “clear” assessment of the crisis.

Populist leader Marine Le Pen has echoed the sentiments of a letter written by active duty military personnel by warning President Macron that there’s a danger of “civil war” unless he solves the country’s Islamist problem.

Le Pen made the comments following the publication of the letter, which outlined how the soldiers had been “fighting Islamism” in dangerous countries abroad only for the French government to “(make) concessions on our soil.”

“If a civil war breaks out, the military will maintain order on its soil because it will be asked to do so,” stated the letter.

While much of the French establishment dismissed the letter as the work of a political faction of right-wing extremists within the military, Le Pen took the side of the dissenters.

The National Rally leader asserted that the letter offered a “clear” assessment of the identity crisis facing France and the Islamist problem.

“There is always the danger of civil war,” she added.

As we previously highlighted, Socialist politician Jean-Luc Mélenchon’s reaction was somewhat different. He vowed to “purge” the military of the individuals responsible for the letter.

France is home to innumerable notorious ghettos where immigrant populations have concentrated themselves while refusing to integrate into French society.

Many of these areas are so dangerous that police, ambulance workers and firefighters are attacked if they venture into them.

Such ghettos have also been exploited by terrorists, including Salah Abdeslam, one of the Paris massacre jihadists, who hopped over the border to Brussels, Belgium and was able to hide out in the Islamic ghetto of Molenbeek for 4 months before being caught.

The problem is also exacerbated by far-left “anti-racist” activists who denigrate France’s national standing while greasing the skids for jihadists to enter Europe under the guise of “refugee” status.

Le Pen Cleared of Breaking Hate Speech Laws For Posting Images of ISIS Atrocities

Ludicrous charge went to court despite Le Pen using images to condemn ISIS.

Populist leader Marine Le Pen has been cleared of violating hate speech laws after she was ludicrously charged for posting images of ISIS atrocities in an effort to illustrate the barbarity of ISIS.

Le Pen originally posted the images in 2015 as a rebuttal to comparisons that were being made between her National Front party and Islamic jihadists.

“This is what Daesh is,” she wrote under the photos, which showed ISIS militants executing people.

Despite posting the photos in an effort to denounce ISIS, Le Pen was accused of “disseminating violent messages that could seriously harm human dignity,” a charge that was never applied to media outlets or journalists who shared similar photos.

While anything other than an acquittal would have been incomprehensible, the fact that it took over 5 years to happen is absurd and undoubtedly related to Le Pen’s hostility to the French establishment.

Le Pen, who has vowed to ban “Islamist ideologies” and restrict wearing of the hijab in public places, is once again expected to end up in an election run off with President Emanuel Macron, with the vote set to take place in April next year.

As we previously highlighted, it appears as though a growing segment of the French population shares her concerns.

A poll released last week found that a majority of French people support the sentiments expressed in a letter signed by active duty and retired members of the military warning that the country is heading towards a “civil war” caused by failed multiculturalism and attacks on French identity.

Teaching in Hiding as Prophet Mohammed Protests Continue For Second Day

MP calls developments “very disturbing.”

A teacher in the UK is in hiding as protests outside a school took place for a second day running in response to a caricature of the Prophet Mohammed being shown to pupils during a lesson about blasphemy.

Dozens of Muslims gathered outside Batley Grammar School once again in a show of force despite the fact that the school has already issued a groveling apology and suspended the teacher in question.

Being located in a “diverse” area of northern England, the school’s population comprises of around 70 per cent Muslim students.

MP Robert Jenrick said reports the teacher was in hiding were “very disturbing.”

Mohammed Shafiq, chief executive of the Ramadhan Foundation in Manchester, described the lesson as a “despicable attack on our faith”.

“That is not a road we want to go down in this country so I would strongly urge people concerned about this issue not to do that,” he told Sky News.

Labour MP for Batley and Spen Tracy Brabin said the “upset and offense caused” was “understandable and predictable”.

Unlike in response to anti-lockdown protests, police issued no dispersal order or fines under COVID legislation.

Islamist apologists in the media responded to the protests by suggesting that free speech didn’t incorporate the right to cause offense, despite this being the very bedrock of the entire notion of free speech.

Following a similar incident last year in France, teacher Samuel Paty was beheaded by an Islamist who had sought revenge for Paty displaying an image that had appeared in the satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo during a lesson about free speech.

Another attack followed in Nice, where a woman was beheaded and two others killed outside a church.

A girl who claimed Paty had asked Muslim students to leave the room before showing the image later admitted she had lied to frame him and that she hadn’t even been in class that day.
