Flashback: Chris Wallace Mocked Trump in 1988 Interview

Suggested president should apologize for his wealth.

For those wondering whether Chris Wallace’s disastrous moderator performance during Tuesday night’s debate had anything to do with his personal beef with President Trump, a 1988 interview provides some context.

As we previously highlighted, Wallace constantly interrupted the president while interjecting while Biden was speaking 5 times less frequently.

His failure to control both candidates led to the Commission on Presidential Debates announcing that it was considering changing the format of the remaining debates, while calls for podcaster Joe Rogan to host the next debate intensified.

Now a resurfaced 1988 interview Wallace conducted with Trump is making some people question whether Wallace has had a problem with Trump for decades.

During the interview, which took place during that year’s RNC, Wallace is antagonistic and belligerent, parroting accusations that Trump is a “conspicuous example” of “greed and consumption,” suggesting he should be apologetic over his “hundred room mansion in Palm Beach, or the thirty million dollar yacht.”

Trump responded by pointing out he had employed 30,000 people who wouldn’t otherwise have jobs, remarking, “I can’t make any excuses, I’m very proud of what we’ve been able to do.”

Wallace then asked Trump if he could handle satirical cartoons which attacked him for his wealth, prompting the then real estate mogul to defend himself again.

As the interview concluded, Trump curtly told Wallace, “You have a good time,” clearly nonplussed by his line of questioning.

Miserable leftists are once again trying to ruin Thanksgiving dinner by using it as an opportunity to aggressively re-educate conservative relatives who dare to hold different opinions.

Journalist Molly Jong-Fast has published an article encouraging leftists to “deprogram” their conservative relatives during Thanksgiving dinner or failing that, “report them to the FBI.”

Video: De Santis Sparks Familiar Chant By Referring To The “Brandon Administration”

“This chant, I think, has taken on a life of its own because it exposes the dishonesty”

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis prompted a crowd of supporters to break into familiar chants of ‘Let’s Go Brandon’, after he referred to the Biden government as “The Brandon Administration.”

During a speech Wednesday, DeSantis said “If you look at that, if you look at what’s going on with some of the big corporations with their woke agenda, when you look at the Biden, the Brandon administration…”

The comments immediately drew laughter and applause, followed by the chants.

“Do you know how that started?” DeSantis asked, explaining “you have the media, their hand wringing over this, but, you know, it was at a NASCAR race, and they’re doing an interview with a driver, I guess his name was Brandon. And the crowd starts chanting very colorful language about Joe Biden.”

“And it was obvious that [that’s what] they were doing and, you know, it is what it is,” he continued, adding “First of all, they said way worse about Trump for four years. We know that. But so they’re chanting this, and so you have a reporter from NBC, who knows that’s what they’re saying. And she’s trying to cover for Biden, so she says, ‘Yeah, they’re chanting, let’s go, Brandon.’”

“And that was a lie. And it was a lie,” DeSantis urged, adding “And so this chant, I think, has taken on a life of its own because it exposes the dishonesty of these corporate reporters and what they do every day to try to lie. And so now you see it.”
