Instagram Promotes Obesity While Refusing Ads For Weight Loss Programs Because They May Hurt People’s Feelings

Dieting guru banned from promoting his healthy eating campaign because it “can make users feel bad about themselves.”

Social media giant Instagram is promoting images of obese people in the name of ‘body positivity’ while refusing to accept healthy eating ads which include photos that show people with well toned bodies.

Fitness guru Alex Feinberg tweeted about the issue, noting that an ad campaign for weight loss that showed images of his successful dieting program was blocked by Instagram.

The reason given was that the promotional material, “uses images that excessively focus on a person’s body or any given body part,” and that this “can make users feel bad about themselves, and goes against our core value of fostering a positive global community.”

Feinberg then compared the refusal of his ad to an image of a morbidly obese woman who has over 500,000 followers, which Instagram did not relegate in its algorithm.

“Instagram boosts this chic to over 500K followers and won’t let me advertise pics with my shirt off Because it “can make users feel bad about themselves” The end is nigh folks,” tweeted Feinberg.

“Imagine if instead of killing people, telling them they’re beautiful at any size We helped them lose fat,” he added.

As we have previously discussed, the ‘body positivity’ movement is not just a refuge for fat, lazy people who refuse to take personal responsibility for their bad lifestyle choices, its promotion by establishment cultural institutions is literally killing people.

Obesity is linked to a myriad of horrendous, life-threatening diseases and conditions, including high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, coronary heart disease, stroke, gallbladder disease, and osteoarthritis.

Promoting body positivity is as ludicrous as promoting ‘smoker positivity’.

Studies also show that fat shaming works.

“Firstly, if people feel shit about themselves, they’re more likely to change,” wrote Milo Yiannopoulos. “A landmark study by obesity experts in 2014 found that a “desire to improve self-worth” was one of the most important motivating factors encouraging people to lose weight. What does this tell us? That encouraging fatties to “love themselves,” as the fat acceptance movement does, is the worst possible message you could send people if you want them to lose weight.”

As we highlighted on Friday, obese pop star Lizzo waded back into the ‘body positivity’ debate during an interview with Vogue in which she complained that the movement was being hijacked by white girls who weren’t fat enough.

It seems Instagram has found a solution to that problem.

The Holocaust Museum in Florida has received backlash after announcing the opening of an exhibition concerning George Floyd, the man whose death in police custody sparked a resurgence of violent riots earlier this year.

Orlando 6 reports that “A new exhibit at the Holocaust Memorial Resource & Education Center in Maitland features powerful and inspiring photos taken in the wake of George Floyd’s death.”

“In the wake of George Floyd’s murder, we felt it was important to bring the meaning of the aftermath to our museum,” a statement on the museum’s website declares.

“Come face-to-face with stunning images and powerful words captured in the aftermath of the George Floyd murder, at the scene, by renowned photographer and storyteller John Noltner,” it continues.

Assistant Executive Director of The Holocaust Memorial Resource & Education Center of Florida, Lisa Bachman, said in a statement: “You don’t just see this exhibit. You feel it.”

“The expressions and thoughts of each person photographed tells a story that has a very universal message. It is one that can heal and bring us together. It shows us we are not alone in our thinking,” Bachman added.

Observers wondered what on earth Floyd’s case has to do with the genocide of six million Jews at the hands of Nazis.

Rock Bottom: Boulder To Be Removed After Students Complained It Is Racist

Let’s get the rock outta here!

A large rock in the campus of Wisconsin-Madison University is to be removed after the student’s union there declared that it is racist.

Not content with removing statues of actual people, the woke mob has now seemingly turned its attention to inanimate objects.

It appears that some bright spark unearthed a news clipping from the 1920s that referred to the large rock as a “n***erhead,” and all hell broke loose.

The Wisconsin State Journal reports:

UW-Madison is moving forward on a plan to remove a boulder from Observatory Hill after calls from students of color who see the rock as a painful reminder of the history of racism on campus.

The 70-ton boulder is officially known as Chamberlin Rock in honor of Thomas Crowder Chamberlin, a geologist and former university president. But the rock was referred to at least once after it was dug out of the hill as a “n***erhead,” a commonly used expression in the 1920s to describe any large dark rock.

[…]

The Wisconsin Black Student Union called for the rock’s removal over the summer. President Nalah McWhorter said the rock is a symbol of the daily injustices that students of color face on a predominantly white campus.

[…]

McWhorter also faulted the Wisconsin State Journal for printing the vulgarity in a 1925 news article.

The report notes that the press clipping from 95 years ago was the only time that anyone has ever referred to the rock using the term.

As Def Leppard famously posited in their 1992 number one hit, ‘Let’s get the rock outta here!’

The university’s campus planning committee voted unanimously that the boulder should be removed, but has not worked out what they are going to do with it.

Perhaps they should put it in a museum along with other racist horrors including (but not limited to) The US Constitution, Any term with the word ‘black’ in it, Chess, Vikings, Clowns, SpongeBob Squarepants, and time itself.
