UK Police May Change “Islamist Terrorism” to “Faith Claimed Terrorism”

Police in the UK say they are looking at dropping the term “Islamist terrorism” and replacing it with the term “faith-claimed terrorism” after lobbying from a Muslim organisation.

“The reform was requested by a Muslim police organisation that blamed the official use of “Islamist” and “jihadi” for negative perceptions and stereotypes, discrimination and Islamophobia,” reports the London Times.

According to the report, the issue was discussed last month by Assistant Commissioner Neil Basu, the national head of counterterrorism policing, during an online event which involved survivors, academics and advocacy groups.

The terms “terrorists abusing religious motivations” and “adherents of Osama bin Laden’s ideology” were also suggested as replacements for “Islamist terrorism,” while the word “jihadis” may also be dropped entirely.

Respondents on Twitter complained that changing the term was just a flagrant attempt to hide the reality of the foremost ideology driving terrorism.

“So despite it being an accurate portrayal of the perpetrators, due to the vast P.C. tsunami rushing up the beach they’re thinking of muddying the waters! Time to realize that not absolutely everything is said with a vicious bias these days,” remarked one.

“Political correctness WILL NOT solve these kind of problems,” added another.

“Why don’t the police just get on with their job and stop getting involved with political correctness,” said another.

Former Malaysian PM: “Muslims have a right to be angry and to kill millions of French people”

Mahathir bin Mohamad excuses jihadist terror in France.

The former Prime Minister of Malaysia reacted to a series of Islamic terror attacks in France by tweeting, “Muslims have a right to be angry and to kill millions of French people for the massacres of the past.”

Yes, really.

Three people were killed and several injured near a church in the Notre-Dame area of Nice this morning, including one 70-year-old woman who was decapitated. The culprit was a jihadist who yelled “Allahu Akbar” throughout the attack.

Meanwhile, in Avignon, a man wielding a knife while also shouting “Allahu Akbar” was shot dead after trying to attack police officers who were patrolling the street.

In Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, a French guard at the French consulate was also wounded by an attacker.

The attacks followed the beheading of school teacher Samuel Paty in Paris earlier this month by a Chechen jihadist who sought revenge for Paty showing cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad to pupils in his class.

Mahathir bin Mohamad, who served twice as the Prime Minister of Malaysia from 1981 to 2003, and again from 2018 to 2020, reacted to the attacks by suggesting that they were completely justified because of France’s colonial past.

“Muslims have a right to be angry and to kill millions of French people for the massacres of the past,” tweeted Mohamad.

The former PM also tweeted, that killing “is not an act that as a Muslim I would approve,” but by suggesting the brutal attacks on innocents in Nice and Paris were somehow understandable, Mohamad is totally excusing them.

“While I believe in the freedom of expression, I do not think it includes insulting other people. You cannot go up to a man and curse him simply because you believe in freedom of speech,” said Mohamad.

This is an interesting remark because it basically mirrors what the Pope said after jihadists slaughtered Charlie Hebdo cartoonists in 2015.

Instead of completely condemning the attack, Pope Francis semi-justified the atrocity by commenting, “If my good friend Dr Gasparri says a curse word against my mother, he can expect a punch.”

He added: “It’s normal. You cannot provoke. You cannot insult the faith of others. You cannot make fun of the faith of others.”

Security Guard Alerted to Manchester Bomber Says He Didn’t Report Terrorist For Fear of Being Branded “Racist”

Thought he’d get in trouble for “judging someone by their race”.

A security guard who was alerted to the suspicious behavior of Manchester Arena suicide bomber Salman Abedi 6 minutes before the terrorist blew himself up says he didn’t report Abedi for fear of being branded “racist”.

Kyle Lawler told an inquiry into the incident, which left 22 people dead and more than 800 wounded, many of them children, that he had received training in what to look out for.

Lawler said Abedi was sitting with “group of white people” and was acting “slightly nervous”. The security guard added that he had a “bad feeling” about the terrorist and felt he “did not belong there”.

However, Lawler failed to alert superiors because he was “scared of being wrong and being branded a racist” and thought he would get into trouble for “judging someone by their race”.

As we previously highlighted, another eyewitness to Abedi’s suspicious behavior reported the activity to security guard Mohammad Agha 17 minutes before the bomb was detonated but said he was “fobbed off”.

Both Lawler and Agha failed to properly inform security control.

Another woman interviewed by Sky News in the days after the attack also revealed that she reported a woman who was acting suspiciously and fidgeting with her bag to security but they did nothing.

“She was looking in the direction of where the explosion actually happened and smirking to herself all night,” said the woman, adding that the suspect spoke with a foreign accent.

The eyewitness said she was lectured by security for making the suspect feel “uncomfortable.” The suspect then disappeared minutes before the concert finished.

This is yet another clear example of how political correctness literally kills.

Abedi was a refugee rescued by the Royal Navy from the civil war in Libya in 2014.

“He boarded the HMS Enterprise in Tripoli in August 2014 with his younger brother Hashem and more than 100 other British citizens,” reported the Guardian.
