Twitter To Censor COVID-19 ‘Conspiracy Theories’ With Warnings

“These warnings will inform people that the information in the Tweet conflicts with public health experts’ guidance before they view it.”

Twitter is to censor content relating to Covid-19 with warning labels if it does not comply with the guidance of ‘public health experts’, in a move sure to be seen as the latest by big tech to suppress information on the global pandemic.

The company says the warnings will extend to anything deemed to be out of step with the advice of health authorities. The move is to provide users with “additional context,” according to Public Policy Director Nick Pickles.

The warning messages will conceal the tweet from view (censor it) unless the user clicks through to it.

“These warnings will inform people that the information in the Tweet conflicts with public health experts’ guidance before they view it,” the company said in a blog post.

Tweets targeted by the warnings will include merely casting doubt on the need to practice social distancing or wear a mask, according to reports.

The company says it has a tiered system in place to determine how ‘severe’ the ‘conspiracy theory’ is.

Twitter told PC mag that “For example, a tweet that says ‘wearing a mask will get you sick’ could easily be adopted, and put people at risk. A tweet that says ‘COVID came from a lab in China,’ on the other hand, poses no immediate risk to causing harm.”

Coronavirus misinformation found to be “moderately” harmful, will carry a label under the content that says “Get the facts about COVID-19”, and will provide a link to a “Twitter-curated page or external trusted source.”

In order to identify offending tweets, Twitter says it will “rely on trusted partners to identify content that is likely to result in offline harm.”

Twitter is once again following in lockstep with Google, and Facebook, in removing content they deem to be untrustworthy.

Several videos have been banned by YouTube and Facebook in recent days and weeks, including doctors speaking out against the lockdown and measures used to combat the virus.

Conservative activist CJ Pearson found his Twitter account locked, Wednesday after he posted a statement condemning pedophilia.

Pearson posted the statement “Every pedophile in America should be castrated,” but found his account locked shortly after, with Twitter ruling that the post had violated its “abuse and harassment” policy.

Pearson was thus forced to delete the tweet in order to get his account back.

“After condemning child predators, Twitter gave me the boot,” Pearson announced on returning.

“I refuse to change my political stances for Twitter and I will never cave to the mob,” he added.

We have surely hit peak 2020 when big tech is choosing to censor people for “harassing” pedophiles.

Meanshile, people around the world are awakening and “harassing” the pedophilia circles of the rich and powerful:

Twitter Censors Trump Again, Claims To Be Protecting “Civil And Election Integrity”

“Engagements with the Tweet will be limited”

Twitter once again censored a post by Donald Trump Sunday, this time claiming that the President had “violated the Twitter Rules about civil and election integrity.”

Trump tweeted a claim that mail drop boxes are a “voter security disaster,” and would open the door to allow people to vote multiple times.

The president also warned that the mailboxes are not sanitized, and could help spread Covid-19.

Within a few hours, the tweet was censored by Twitter:

“This tweet violated the Twitter Rules about civil and election integrity. However, Twitter has determined that it may be in the public’s interest for the Tweet to remain accessible,” the filter read.

“Per our policies, this Tweet will remain on the service given its relevance to ongoing public conversation. Engagements with the Tweet will be limited. People will be able to Retweet with Comment, but not Like, Reply, or Retweet it,” a statement from Twitter read.

Twitter censoring Trump is now a regular occurrence.

Back in May, the company posted “fact check” labels to Trump’s tweets regarding potential fraud stemming from mail-in ballots. Trump’s tweet was deemed to be misleading, regardless of the fact that a USPS mail carrier in West Virginia was charged with fraud for tampering with vote-by-mail requests.

Twitter again censored one of Trump’s tweets at the height of rioting in Minneapolis, claiming that the President was “glorifying violence”.

Twitter inserted a “public interest notice” on another of Trump’s tweets in June, accusing him of “threatening harm against an identifiable group” when the President warned that any violence among protests in Washington would be met with a show of force in order to keep law and order.

Just weeks later in July, Twitter removed a meme that Trump had retweeted.

Twitter also completely removed a video of a Fox & Friends interview earlier this month claiming Trump was spreading “misinformation” about the coronavirus when he stated that children are ‘almost completely immune’ from the virus.
Two more tweets from Trump were not censored Sunday, both slamming Democrats for removing the words “under God” from the Pledge of Allegiance during last week’s DNC:

Viral Shadowgate Documentary Deleted by Facebook and YouTube After Film Maker’s Arrest

Movie was going viral with millions of views.

Millie Weaver

The Shadowgate documentary, which went viral after one of its producers was arrested on Friday, has now been removed by both YouTube and Facebook.

Journalist Millie Weaver was charged with alleged “robbery, tampering with evidence, obstruction justice, and domestic violence” after police officers apparently from a local SWAT team showed up at her Ohio home Friday morning and took her to the Portage County Jail in Ravenna.

The Portage County Sheriff’s Office later confirmed that there was a “secret indictment” against Weaver but refused to give further details.

A woman claiming to be Weaver’s mother later commented that there had been a family dispute over a $50 cellphone on April 25, but that she had almost immediately dropped all charges against Weaver and expressed shock that her daughter had been arrested.

The arrest occurred on the eve of Weaver releasing Shadowgate, a documentary that purports to expose the “operational role the shadow government played behind the scenes carrying out the coup against President Trump.”

After the documentary received millions of views following its upload to Facebook and YouTube, both websites censored the film, with YouTube claiming the movie violated its rules against “hate speech.”

Weaver is expected to appear in front of a “tentative bond meeting” later today.

The full Shadowgate documentary can still be seen below.

Weaver is expected to appear in front of a “tentative bond meeting” later today.

There is also a live protest against her arrest taking place in Ohio right now.
