World War 3? US Accuses China Of Testing Secret NUKES

State Dept. issues report noting ‘high tempo of activity at China’s Lop Nur test site’.

The United States has accused China of setting off underground nuclear bombs, conducting banned nuclear tests while the world is focused on the coronavirus crisis.

As if things weren’t already bad enough between the two nations, a US State Department report made public by The Wall Street Journal confirmed the charges earlier this week.

“The concerns stem from the high tempo of activity at China’s Lop Nur test site, extensive excavations at the site, and Beijing’s purported use of special chambers to contain explosions.” the State Department report suggests.

The report raises concerns about whether China is abiding to the US-interpreted “zero yield” standard on nuclear testing, which is a reference to a type of nuclear test whereby there is no explosive chain reaction of the type ignited by the detonation of a nuclear warhead.

The report also claimed Beijing blocked data transmissions from sensors linked to an international monitoring center, a claim that was disputed by the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty Organization in China.

If the accusations are true, China, which is estimated to have about 300 nuclear weapons, would be in violation of the 1996 Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty (CTBT), which prohibits any nuclear reactions involving explosives.

Neither China nor the US has officially ratified the treaty, however, which means each is still relying purely on the word of the other, and on-site inspections cannot be conducted.

China responded to the accusations by angrily denying them as ‘false’.

“China has always adopted a responsible attitude, earnestly fulfilling the international obligations and promises it has assumed,” Chinese foreign ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian said, adding “The US criticism of China is entirely groundless, without foundation, and not worth refuting.”

There have been some concerns among more hawkish Republicans that the US is not keeping up with China in terms of nuclear arms development, thus some have been trying to influence President Trump to ditch the CTBT, allowing the US to start new testing of its own.

An anonymous senior US official told The Guardian that “The pace and manner by which the Chinese government is modernising its stockpile is worrying, destabilising, and illustrates why China should be brought into the global arms control framework.”

Report suggests that ‘non-state actors’ were financed by China to carry out ambushes on American soldiers

President Trump is set to declassify intelligence that claims the communist Chinese government funded attacks on US troops in Afghanistan, according to a report.

Senior administration officials have told Axios that Trump was briefed on the intelligence before Christmas by by national security adviser Robert O’Brien.

The report states that the intelligence has not been fully corroborated, but suggests that ‘non-state actors’ were financed by China to carry out ambushes on American soldiers, and that there are “PRC weapons illicitly flowing into Afghanistan.”

A source told Axios  “The U.S. has evidence that the PRC [People’s Republic of China] attempted to finance attacks on American servicemen by Afghan non-state actors by offering financial incentives or ‘bounties'” and said the National Security Council “is coordinating a whole-of-government investigation.”

A senior official told Axios that  “Like all first reports, we react with caution to initial reports” but “any intel reports relating to the safety of our forces we take very seriously.”

The sources also did not disclose if the ‘non state actors’ referred to in the intel were members of the Taliban or not.

There has not yet been any indication of when the suggested attacks occurred or of what scale they were, only that they occurred after late February when theUS made a deal with the Taliban.

The disclosure comes after Trump dismissed intelligence reports in the Summer claiming that Russia and Iran had paid Taliban fighters ‘bounties’ to kill US troops.

Back then, the media ran with the claims, which many saw as a way of attacking Trump.

Reports continue to surface of the Pentagon is refusing to give the Biden team national security briefings, meaning that they may not have detailed knowledge regarding the China intel.

The latest developments will fan flames of projections that China and the US are headed toward conflict.

Australian Senator Predicts U.S.- China War Within 5 Years

Expresses concern about America’s declining military.

Australian Senator Jim Molan warned that there could be a war between the U.S. and China within 5 years while expressing concern about America’s declining military abilities.

The politician, who is a former Australian Army Major-General, told Seven News, “We are likely in the next three to five years or in the next five to ten years to be involved in a war between China and the United States.”

Molan said that China had been “primed” for war for a long time and was proving it by being belligerent with its closest adversaries.

“They [China] are picking fights with their neighbors around the world and they have extraordinary military capability, not just in rockets and aircraft but in overall capability to do things,” said Molan.

While asserting that the Australian military has never been in a better position to defend itself against outside threats, Molan couldn’t say the same for America.

“In 1991, the US Navy was 600 warships strong. Now it’s less than 300,” he pointed out.

The Senator added that the war was not “inevitable” and could be avoided if all sides “prepare”.

Molan’s warning has been echoed by other prominent geopolitical experts, including Henry Kissinger, who last year cautioned that a catastrophic conflict between America and China that will be “worse than world wars” is inevitable unless the two sides sort out their differences.

Report: Biden Considering Former Obama Hawk To ‘Fix Humanitarian Crises She Helped Create’

Less talk, more intervention

Reports suggest that Joe Biden is considering appointing former Obama official Samantha Power to lead USAID, the government’s relief agency, prompting critics to charge that she would be in charge of fixing humanitarian crises that she created in the first place.

Axios reported that Power’s appointment would “signal the Biden administration plans to revitalize foreign assistance and use it as an instrument of soft power and to achieve humanitarian goals”.

“Foreign assistance”.

“Soft power”.

A rough translation could read “Interventionism” and “globalist dominance.”

Power, formally on Obama/Biden’s National Security Council and latterly the US envoy to the UN, oversaw the disastrous intervention Libya, working closely with Hillary Clinton and Susan Rice, who were Secretary of State and UN ambassador at the time.

And we all know how that turned out.

Power also strongly supported US intervention in Yemen and Syria under Obama.

Power recently wrote that in her opinion, Biden should “pursue foreign policy initiatives that can quickly highlight the return of American expertise and competence” and do so in a “highly visible” way.

For a translation of “expertise and competence” look up ‘interventionism’, and for an example of “highly visible”, see the afore mentioned meddling in Libya.

In the Foreign Affairs piece, Power wrote that “This means less rhetorical emphasis on the abstract cause of ‘the liberal international order’ and more practical demonstrations of the United States’ distinctive ability to deliver.”

In other words, less talk, more intervention.

The potential appointment follows a trend for Biden, who has so far signalled that he will bring back a military-industrial complex that Trump attempted to wipe away.
