Video: DoD Says It’s Taking A ‘Hard Look’ At Evidence Coronavirus Came From Wuhan Lab

“We have taken a keen interest in that, and we have had a lot of intelligence take a hard look at that.”

The Pentagon is investigating the possibility that the deadly coronavirus, which is now killing thousands of Americans every day, came from the biological research laboratory in Wuhan.

Gen. Mark Milley, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, has confirmed that the DoD is looking into the theory that the virus was leaked out of the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV).

Milley made the comments at a press briefing broadcast by PBS Tuesday.

Watch from the 20 minute mark:

“There’s a lot of rumor and speculation in a wide variety of media, blog sites, etc.,” said Milley, adding “It should be no surprise to you that we have taken a keen interest in that, and we have had a lot of intelligence take a hard look at that.”

“At this point it’s inconclusive, although the weight of evidence seems to indicate natural, but we do not know for sure,” Milley added.

In a separate interview Tuesday, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo was also asked about the notion of the virus leaking from the lab, and did not rule out the possibility.

Pompeo was asked by Tony Katz of The Morning News “Does the State Department believe that China absolutely purposefully engaged a virus, or is there a belief that there was a leak from a virology lab in Wuhan, and China did not let the world know about it until it was too late?”

Pompeo responded “Look, there’s still lots of work to be done to find out precisely what happened here, precisely how this came to be. We know this much: We know this is a global pandemic that originated in Wuhan, China. We know that there were wet markets there. So we’re beginning to piece the facts together.”

The developments dovetail with a report in the Washington Post Tuesday detailing how U.S. Embassy officials in China visited the Wuhan Institute of Virology in 2018 and subsequently issued official warnings to the State Department about the inadequate safety at the lab, where researchers were meddling with bat coronaviruses.

In addition, Documents obtained by the Daily Mail last week confirm that Communist China had been harvesting, developing, and testing novel coronaviruses on mammals using grant money from the U.S. government under former President Obama.

“There’ll become a time to review precisely what happened, to investigate, get all the facts, and hold accountable those who were responsible for this enormous, not only loss in human life but the economic damage that’s been done here in the United States as well.” Pompeo added.

The Secretary also declared that the Chinese government has “simply not lived up to their obligations to the international organizations.”

To be clear, there is a general consensus among experts and government officials in both the U.S. and Britain, that the lab in Wuhan could be the source of an accidental leak of the virus due to its lax safety procedures.

Richard H. Ebright, a professor of chemical biology at Rutgers University, told The Daily Caller that he believes it is a distinct possibility that an accident in the laboratory in China could have caused the outbreak.

Lawrence Sellin Ph.D., a retired colonel with 29 years of service in the U.S. Army Reserve, who previously worked at the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases, has also said that the origin of the virus is more likely to be a lab leak, arguing that “the technology to create a coronavirus chimera has been demonstrated,” and “deadly viruses have previously ‘leaked’ out of Chinese virology labs in two separate incidents.”

That is not to say that they believe it was a bio-weapon that was intentionally used by China, another wilder theory that has been promoted by the likes of bioweapons researcher Dr. Francis Boyle.

The accidental leak theory is also supported by the fact that according to a study contributed to by the ‘bat-woman’ herself, Shi Zhengli, the novel coronavirus is 96.2% identical to a viral strain that was detected in horseshoe bats from the Yunnan Province, which is over 600 miles away from Wuhan.

Separate Chinese research confirmed this and cited testimonies from close to 60 people who lived or stayed in Wuhan for lengthy periods, saying that the bat “was never a food source in the city, and no bat was traded in the market.”

The research paper, which was uploaded to Research Gate on Feb. 6, concluded that “The killer coronavirus probably originated from a laboratory in Wuhan.”

The paper was removed from Research Gate on Feb. 14 or 15, according to internet archives, and it’s author cannot be reached.

A deadly virus leak from a Chinese lab is not unprecedented. The SARS virus escaped twice from the Chinese Institute of Virology in Beijing in 2004, one year after its spread was brought under control.

Many believe that China’s continued subterfuge regarding the coronavirus outbreak, and it’s bizarre accusations that it was spread by the US military, is an effort to divert attention from the possibility that this virus leaked from the Wuhan lab.

Senior U.S. Army Official Says There’ll Never Be a Return to “Normal” Post-COVID

A senior U.S. Army official says that there’ll probably never be a return to “normal” post-COVID and that rules such as social distancing and mask wearing will likely become permanent.

During a speech at the U.S. Army’s annual conference, Bruce Jette, assistant secretary of the Army for acquisition, logistics and technology, said that measures implemented across the country will remain in place across the defense industry to protect against the shut down of production facilities.

He also suggested that the restrictions should remain in place for the general public.

“I don’t know that I would ever say it’s totally back to normal,” said Jette. “I don’t see us backing off of using these same techniques on a contouring basis, even as the vaccine continues to mature.”

“I would say we don’t back off of the COVID-19 standards because it will also reduce the impact of flu and other illnesses,” he added. “We think continuing to apply these same techniques would be further beneficial to the people and to the Army overall.”

As Zero Hedge notes, the Army is the “canary in the coal mine” for such measures “that would put the entirety of American society a mere stone’s throw away from being forced to do the same.”

As we previously highlighted, CNN also pushed the notion that life would never return to normal in an article written by their international security editor Nick Paton Walsh.

In the piece, Walsh asserted that the mandatory wearing of masks will become “permanent,” “just part of life,” and that the public would need to “come to terms with it.”

Billionaire philanthropist Bill Gates also warned that the world won’t return to normal until there is widespread take up of a second coronavirus vaccine.

YouTube BANS Any Videos That Question Vaccine Agenda

Company is meeting with World Health Organisation EVERY WEEK

YouTube, which is owned by Google, will remove and ban any videos that make “medically unsubstantiated” claims regarding the coronavirus and the vaccines being developed in its name by big pharma.

Specifically, YouTube says that it is targeting “conspiracy theories” contending that the vaccine agenda has a nefarious purpose, such as sterilisation, depopulation, or mass surveillance.

In an email obtained by Reuters, the company announced that it will remove content that “promotes misinformation” about COVID-19 vaccines.

It defines “misinformation” as anything which contradicts guidance from government health authorities or the World Health Organization, So any opinion that doesn’t match what the authorities say, basically.

The company told reporters that it will allow videos covering “broad concerns” over the vaccine to remain on the platform.

This latest move is more of the same from YouTube, which is already removing any videos that encourage viewers not to wear masks or adhere to social distancing rules, as well as “medically unsubstantiated” methods of treatment.

YouTube boasted in the email that it has already removed over 200,000 videos containing “dangerous or misleading COVID-19 information”.

The company appears to be taking direct orders from the World Health Organisation.

Andy Pattison, manager of digital solutions at the WHO, told Reuters that the global body meets with the policy team at YouTube every single week to discuss what content has become popular, and what is potentially “problematic”.

Reuters notes that YouTube has said it will be announcing more steps in the coming weeks to “emphasize authoritative information about COVID-19 vaccines on the site.”

YouTube’s latest censorship move comes just hours after Bill Gates again complained that he has become the target of ‘baseless anti-vaxxer conspiracy theories’ that have gained ground in recent months.

Youtube’s crackdown also comes amid a furore over Facebook and Twitter censoring content relating to Joe Biden’s foreign lobbying scandal.

Both social media companies are also actively censoring posts and videos containing content that contradicts WHO and government statements and stances on the coronavirus.

Video: Armed Police Sent to Issue Fine to COVID-Violating Gym in UK

Owner refused to shut down after government mandate.

A video out of the UK shows a gym owner explaining how armed police were sent to issue fines because his business violated COVID restrictions by failing to close down following a government mandate.

Nicholas Whitcombe previously announced via a YouTube video that his Bodytec Fitness gym, which is located in Wirral, would be remaining open despite a new law that mandates all gyms in the region close their doors due to a rise in coronavirus infections.

“The UK’s Government has took it upon themselves to close gyms in the North West, despite the overwhelming evidence that gyms are not a major spreaders of COVID,” says a description on his fundraiser page.

“We respected the last lockdown although we financially suffered and only survived because of our amazing members. However they now want us to close, with minimum financial support for 6 months. We get no rent break, bills break both personally and as a business,” he added, asserting that he would keep his gum open for his members’ “mental and physical well-being.”

This prompted a visit by several armed police officers seen in a video originally posted by Whitcome to Instagram.

Whitcome explained that he was ordered to immediately close the gym or be hit with a £1,000 fine but that he told them, “I’m not asking anyone to leave.”

The gym owner took the fine but was then told that police could repeatedly return within just a few hours to issue more fines that double each time.

“They sent out seven or eight firearms officers – what a waste of resources – this is fucking nuts guys, it’s fucking nuts,” he added.

Whitcome said that he had received a lot of support from other gyms and that a petition to get the issue in front of Parliament had reached over 1000 signatures.

In the video description on Instagram, Whitcombe also explained how the closure of gyms made no sense given that, “22,000,000 (22 million) gym visits resulted in a mere 78 Covid cases,” and there have been just 0.35 COVID cases per 100,000 visits.
