Spanish Government Being Sued For Encouraging Mass Gatherings Right as Coronavirus Hit

Left-wing leaders urged Spaniards to attend huge feminist rallies on March 8th.

The Spanish government is being sued for gross negligence after it encouraged citizens to attend giant feminist rallies across the country on March 8, potentially exposing hundreds of thousands of people to coronavirus.

“A class action lawsuit filed on March 19 accuses the Spanish government — highly ideological by any standard, as the Communist coalition partner, Podemos, was founded with seed money from the Venezuelan government — of knowingly endangering public safety by encouraging the public to participate in more than 75 feminist marches, held across Spain on March 8, to mark International Women’s Day,” writes Soeren Kern.

The rallies were attended by Spain’s deputy prime minister, as well as the prime minister’s wife and mother.

In Madrid alone, which has been devastated by the coronavirus outbreak, “Thousands of women marched…against gender inequality to mark International Women’s Day, despite concerns the gatherings could help the spread of coronavirus,” reported Reuters.

According to journalist Matthew Bennett, in an apparent effort to downplay the danger of attending the rallies to the public, the Spanish government failed to report new coronavirus cases between March 6 and March 9.

Despite numerous warnings and the government having already ordered major football and basketball matches to be held behind closed doors with no spectators, the Spanish government’s main point man for the coronavirus, Fernando Simón, told the public there was no risk.

“If my son asks me if he can go, I will tell him to do whatever he wants,” said Simón.

One protester at the march even held a sign that said, “Machismo kills more than coronavirus.”

Spain has now lost over 8,000 people to COVID-19.

“The lawsuit, involving more than 5,000 plaintiffs, accuses Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez and his representatives in Spain’s 17 autonomous regions of “prevarication” — a Spanish legal term that means lying and deceiving,” writes Kern. “The government was allegedly so determined to ensure that the feminist marches took place on March 8 that it deliberately downplayed warnings about the pandemic.”

If found guilty, officials will face a penalty of between nine to 15 years of disqualification from public office.

“The result of the calls for these demonstrations and their direct approval by government delegations and by the inaction of the central government chaired by the accused, Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, could not be more antagonistic to what the EU indicated in its report. Why was not an order issued to prevent any type of mass event?” asked Víctor Valladares, a Madrid-based lawyer who is leading the lawsuit.

The Spanish government’s culpability for exposing its own citizens to coronavirus in the name of ‘woke’ activism has been almost completely ignored by the western media, despite there being much reporting about a Champions League soccer game in Milan, Italy on February 19th which was attended by 40,000 residents of Bergamo and has been described as a “biological bomb” during which “the virus was widely spread” according to Mayor Giorgio Gori.

As we document in the video below, it wasn’t just in Spain that political leaders were urging citizens to attend huge rallies and parades right as COVID-19 hit hard.

In Italy, the left-wing Mayor of Florence and leftist activist groups urged Italians to hug Chinese people in the street, despite thousands of Chinese migrant workers in northern Italy having potentially been exposed to COVID-19.

Video: Biden Tells Americans It Is Their ‘Patriotic Responsibility’ To Mask Up

“I hope that we’re going to be able to have a united voice on the need to mask”

Joe Biden announced in an interview Tuesday that it is the duty of Americans to wear masks and abide by social distancing rules, and that doing so is ‘patriotic’.

During the appearance with NBC News, Biden said “I hope that we’re going to be able to have a united voice on the need to mask, socially distance, testing and tracing.”

“They’re critical, critical pieces to dealing with bringing down this virus in a more manageable place,” Biden added.

“The words of a president matter,” he continued, in a dig at President Trump’s refusal to dictate to Americans that they must wear muzzles.

“I think it’s critically important, I think it’s a patriotic responsibility to wear a mask, to socially distance,” Biden then declared.

Watch:

Biden’s comments come on the heels of both the head of the World Health Organization and numerous other prominent individuals asserting that rolling lockdowns, mask wearing, social distancing and other restrictions are here to stay, even after the pandemic is over.

In his book Covid-19: The Great Reset, World Economic Forum globalist Klaus Schwab asserts that the world will “never” return to normal, despite him admitting that coronavirus “doesn’t pose a new existential threat.”

A senior U.S. Army official also said that mask wearing and social distancing will become permanent, while CNN’s international security editor Nick Paton Walsh asserted that the mandatory wearing of masks will become “permanent,” “just part of life,” and that the public would need to “come to terms with it.”

ABC Journalist Jonathan Karl Caught in Yet Another Moment of Mask Hypocrisy

Removes it immediately after press briefing ended.

ABC’s Chief News Correspondent Jonathan Karl, who has tried to ‘mask shame’ others in the past, was caught in another moment of hypocrisy after he was seen removing his mask inside the White House press room immediately after the press briefing ended.

“ABC’s @JonKarl thought all the cameras were off, so he removes his mask while still in the White House briefing room, proving for the millionth time the media hacks are the ultimate hypocrites,” tweeted Mark Dice.

The clip shows Karl violating COVID rules by removing his mask while all the other people inside the room leave theirs on.

The scene is particularly ironic because Karl has made a point of trying to ‘mask shame’ others in the past for not covering up.

Back in May, Karl tweeted, “Almost everybody in the Rose Garden is wearing a mask — almost everybody,” tweeted Karl, along with four images of news reporters in the Rose Garden all wearing masks apart from Fox News’ John Roberts, who had briefly removed it.

However, Karl himself was previously caught not wearing a mask while picking up tacos in DC on Cinco de Mayo. Pictures show him walking around talking on the phone without a mask while others in the background wear them.

As we previously highlighted, CNN reporter Kaitlan Collins, who tried to shame Trump administration officials for not wearing face masks, was forced to go on the defensive after she was caught removing her own mask immediately after a press briefing ended.

CDC Tells Americans to Avoid Alcohol and Singing During Thanksgiving Gatherings

Woop woop, it’s the sound of the fun police.

The CDC has published a lengthy list of guidelines for how people should behave at Thanksgiving gatherings, including avoiding singing, keeping noise levels down and limiting alcohol consumption.

Basically, anything fun is frowned upon ‘because COVID’.

The guidelines appear on the official CDC website under the heading ‘Holiday Celebrations and Small Gatherings’ and include literally dozens of “considerations for small gatherings of family and friends.”

“Encourage guests to avoid singing or shouting, especially indoors. Keep music levels down so people don’t have to shout or speak loudly to be heard,” states the website.

Consumption of alcohol is listed as a “high risk activity” that “may alter judgment and make it more difficult to practice COVID-19 safety measures.”

The guidelines also state that people must wear masks, stay 6 feet apart from people they don’t live with along with a virtual essay length list of suggested behaviors that are impossible to uphold and would completely ruin the occasion.

Respondents to the guidelines on Twitter were not very impressed.

“Code for… Avoid Living. This is not the American experience,” said one.

“Up next…no laughing, talking or blinking,” said another.

“What in God’s name would music levels have to do with virus transmissions?” asked another.

“But large gatherings of BLM and Anqueefa shouting “f*ck the police” are ok,” added another.
