Senator Cotton: China Unleashed This Plague On the World

“There will be a reckoning.”

GOP Senator Tom Cotton touted legislation Wednesday that would end US dependency on China for pharmaceuticals, stating that it poses a national security risk, as he asserted that China ‘unleashed’ the coronavirus on the rest of the planet and needs to pay for it.

“Things like antibiotics and ibuprofen and Advil are made in China for the most part. It’s time to bring that manufacturing capacity back to the United States, time to bring a lot more back to the United States from China.” Cotton said during a Fox News interview.

“China unleashed this plague on the world, and there will be a reckoning when we’re on the back side of it.” he urged.

Along with Rep. Mike Gallagher (R-WI), Cotton has introduced the “Protecting Our Pharmaceutical Supply Chain From China Act,” which promises to “cut off purchases of drugs with Chinese ingredients no later than 2025.”

Cotton has warned that the “low quality” of such drugs produced in the communist state is a danger to all Americans.

The bill would also “require drug companies to label the origins of ingredients in their drugs, so U.S. consumers are better informed of where their medicine comes from and whether it’s likely to be safe.”

The legislation will also encourage the medical industry to “manufacture in our country again by offering full and immediate expensing of factories, warehouses and capital goods related to the manufacture of drugs and medical devices on American soil.”

Cotton writes that “Emergencies like pandemics and wars break down previously dependable supply chains and relationships as nations start to fend for themselves. It’s sadly clear America gave up the ability to fend for ourselves in basic medicine long ago.”

The Senator has been vocal in blaming China for the outbreak of the coronavirus, previously demanding that the communist state prove that the virus did not originate in its own secretive bioweapons lab in Wuhan:

Cotton highlighted how China continuously lied about the severity of the outbreak:

Back in January, Cotton called for flights from China into the US to be stopped, warning that Beijing was lying about the full extent of the outbreak.

Meanwhile, China again claimed Tuesday that the outbreak did not start in Wuhan, and that the US is engaging in “bald-faced racism and xenophobia” by claiming it did.

Chinese foreign ministry spokesman Geng Shuang even bragged that the World Health Organisation and the UN agrees with the communist state, and demanded that the US government stop saying the virus originated in China.

Last week, Chinese state media again claimed that the virus could have originated at Fort Detrick, Maryland, and may have been intentionally released by the US military in China to kill people.

The claim is patently false, with numerous virologists asserting that the origin of the virus is clearly traceable to Wuhan. Scientists have said that they are even able to pinpoint the timeframe of when the virus jumped to humans to within a few days. they believe it emerged in late October or early November.

Video: Australians Chant “Freedom!” as Market is Shut Down by COVID Riot Cops

Draconian coronavirus laws continued to be brutally enforced.

A remarkable video out of Australia shows people chanting “freedom!” as a food market is forcefully shut down by COVID riot cops.

The clip shows dozens of police on horseback and armed with riot gear facing off against market sellers and customers.

Chants of “freedom, freedom!” then break out as one officer directs the riot police to move in.

Cops armed with shields then begin charging and pushing people away while one man is singled out and dragged away by officers.

The state of Victoria has enforced one of the most draconian coronavirus lockdowns in the developed world, with authorities giving themselves the powers to enter homes without a warrant and also seize people’s children.

As we highlighted earlier this month, a pregnant woman was arrested in her home in front of her own kids for the crime of posting about the protest on Facebook.

Police in Melbourne also announced that they would be using surveillance drones to catch people who don’t wear masks and to keep track of cars that travel further than 5km from home.

Journalist Avi Yemini was also dragged to the ground and arrested for merely covering an anti-lockdown protest in Melbourne.

Numerous videos have also emerged of people being forcibly arrested by police for not wearing masks.

Chris Rock Blames Democrats For ‘Letting The Pandemic Come In’

Says they were too obsessed with impeaching Trump.

Hollywood Comedian Chris Rock squarely blamed Democrats for not being quick enough to quell the coronavirus pandemic earlier in the year, arguing that the party was too obsessed with trying to impeach President Trump.

Rock made the comments in an interview with the New York Times, noting “It was totally up to Pelosi and the Democrats.”

“Their thing was, ‘We’re going to get him impeached,’ which was never going to happen. You let the pandemic come in. Yes, we can blame Trump, but he’s really the 5-year-old,” Rock stated.

“Did you ever see that movie The Last Emperor, where like a 5-year-old is the emperor of China? There’s a kid and he’s the king. So I’m like, it’s all the Democrats’ fault. Because you knew that the emperor was 5 years old. And when the emperor’s 5 years old, they only lead in theory. There’s usually an adult who’s like, ‘OK, this is what we’re really going to do.’”

While clearly not defending Trump or the GOP, Rock has a point, given that Democrats such as Pelosi were actively encouraging people to attend gatherings and refusing to work with the White House on travel restrictions in February.

Elsewhere in the interview, Rock spoke out against the new trend of Hollywood, and the entertainment industry in general clamouring to erase from history anything that could potentially be deemed racist by anyone, noting that it’s odd the way they go to such lengths to show they’re against racism.

“Blackface ain’t cool, OK? That’s my quote. Blackface is bad. Who needs it? It’s so sad, we live in a world now where you have to say, I am so against cancer. “I just assumed you liked cancer.” No, no, no, I am so against it. You have to state so many obvious things you’re against.”

Rock also said noted during the interview that the Obama presidency shouldn’t be looked back on as progress for black Americans.

“Obama becoming the president, it’s progress for white people. It’s not progress for Black people,” Rock declared.

Dem Mayor Launches Study That Will Collect Blood Samples From Randomly Selected Houston Homes

Democratic Mayor Sylvester Turner has signed off on a new study that will see city employees visit randomly selected homes in Houston to collect blood samples for COVID-19 antibody testing.

The study is being conducted by the Houston Health Department in collaboration with the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). Household members will be asked to answer a survey and give a blood sample. For some households, all members of the household will be asked to participate.

Authorities say the tests are necessary to develop a deeper insight into how COVID-19 spreads through the community and how many people were previously infected with the virus.

The Mayor said the program would be voluntary, but urged citizens to take part.

“If we knock on your door, I strongly encourage you and your loved ones to participate in this important survey,” said Turner. “The data you provide by participating will help inform strategies to mitigate the effects of COVID-19.”

In some other countries, such as New Zealand, people who refuse to take a COVID-19 test have been forcibly removed to quarantine facilities by health authorities.

In a previous interview, Turner had suggested that people who refused to take a coronavirus test were “irresponsible.”

Last month Turner also announced that police will begin issuing citations against people not wearing masks, hitting them with a fine of $250 dollars.
