New York Health Officials Told Residents to Congregate in Huge Crowds in “Defiance” of Coronavirus

Back in February, health officials in New York told residents to congregate in huge crowds in “defiance” of coronavirus, a move that could have exposed thousands of people to COVID-19.

New York City Health Commissioner Oxiris Barbot posted a tweet on February 9 urging citizens to flock to Chinatown in large numbers to celebrate the lunar new year while suggesting that advice to avoid crowds was “misinformation.”

“Today our city is celebrating the #LunarNewYear parade in Chinatown, a beautiful cultural tradition with a rich history in our city. I want to remind everyone to enjoy the parade and not change any plans due to misinformation spreading about #coronavirus,” she wrote.

On the same day, Mark D. Levine, Chair of New York City Council health committee, lauded how “huge crowds gathering in NYC’s Chinatown” was a “powerful show of defiance of #coronavirus scare,” tweeting four images of large groups of people gathered to celebrate the occasion.

Those tweets are receiving a fresh backlash of criticism given what has unfolded since. Many of the individuals who showed up for the celebrations were Chinese and could have visited China in the weeks before.

Confirmed cases of coronavirus across New York state surged 38 per cent overnight to 20,875 total cases. There have been 157 deaths.

New York is the hardest hit state in the country and New York City accounts for 12,305 confirmed infections.

The advice given by the officials was in line with World Health Organization rhetoric at the time, which discouraged the “stigmatization” of Chinese people.

Once again, it appears that pandering to political correctness almost certainly worsened the spread of coronavirus in New York and could even have led directly to people dying.

As we highlight in the video below, back in February, leftist officials in Italy were also urging citizens to go outside and hug Chinese people in order to fight racism.

CCP Defector Says China Deliberately Spread COVID at Military Event in 2019

Tried to warn Trump administration but they didn’t listen.

CCP defector Wei Jingsheng says the Communist Chinese deliberately spread COVID-19 at an international military tournament in Wuhan in October 2019, two months before they notified the WHO about the first case of the virus.

According to Jingsheng, some of the 9,000 athletes who had gathered for the event came down with a mystery illness after the CPP deliberately sought to create a superspreader event.

“I thought the Chinese Government would take this opportunity to spread the virus during the Military Games, as many foreigners would show up there,” Jingsheng told The Mail Australia.

The whistleblower said he had heard rumors of the Chinese preparing for an “unusual exercise” during the event involving “some strange weapons, including biological weapons.”

Jingsheng said he tried to warn the Trump administration at the time but that no one listened to him.

“They may not believe that a Government of a country would do something like that (cover up a virus), so I kept repeating myself in an effort … to persuade them,” he said.

Former Principal China Adviser to the U.S. State Department Miles Yu backed up Jingsheng’s claims, asserting that he witnessed French, German and American athletes fall sick at the tournament with COVID-like symptoms.

As we highlighted earlier, scientists at the Wuhan Institute of Virology attempted to secure $14 million in funding from DARPA in 2018 to genetically alter viruses, including bat coronaviruses, and make them more infectious to humans.

A bombshell report has concluded that scientists at the Wuhan Institute of Virology and their affiliated partners attempted to secure $14 million in funding from the Pentagon’s scientific arm DARPA to genetically alter viruses, including bat coronaviruses, and make them more infectious to humans, just eighteen months prior to the subsequent outbreak and pandemic.

The London Telegraph reports the findings revealed by Drastic, a web-based investigations team set up by scientists from across the world to look into the origins of Covid-19.

The documents they obtained, confirmed as genuine by former US government officials, show that DARPA turned down the request, saying the plans for yet more gain of function research were TOO DANGEROUS to the human population.

The Telegraph notes that the documents reveal the Wuhan scientists “submitted plans to release skin-penetrating nanoparticles containing ‘novel chimeric spike proteins’ of bat coronaviruses into cave bats in Yunnan, China.”

The documents also show that the plan involved genetically altering the bat coronaviruses to add “human-specific cleavage sites,” essentially making it easier for the virus to get into human cells.

This is EXACTLY what was discovered when Covid-19 was first genetically sequenced, prompting many scientists to suggest the virus had been genetically manipulated in a lab.

The documents reveal that the same cast of characters already under scrutiny regarding gain of function research in Wuhan submitted the plan to DARPA. Both British zoologist Peter Daszak of EcoHealth Alliance, who later attempted to shut down scientific debate on the possibility of a lab leak, and the “bat woman” Dr Shi Zhengli were intimately involved.

Angus Dalgleish, Professor of Oncology at St Georges, University of London, who maintains that the pandemic was likely a result of a genetically altered virus, said the research may have gone ahead even without the funding.

“This is clearly a gain of function, engineering the cleavage site and polishing the new viruses to enhance human cell infectibility in more than one cell line,” Dalgleish said. 

The Telegraph notes that the plans were rejected by DARPA, with the agency noting “It is clear that the proposed project led by Peter Daszak could have put local communities at risk”, and further warning that proper consideration of the consequences of enhancing the viruses had not been undertaken.

Let that sink in. Even DARPA, the secretive military weapons development agency, the ones who have invented implantable microchips, cyborg dogs and drone killing machines said that the WIV gain of function plan was nuts.

The Telegraph also notes that a “Covid-19 researcher from the World Health Organisation (WHO), who wished to remain anonymous, said it was alarming that the grant proposal included plans to enhance the more deadly disease of Middle-East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS).”

“The scary part is they were making infectious chimeric MERS viruses,” the source warned.

Those findings dovetail with previous revelations in documents obtained under the FOIA showing that lab tampering was undertaken on MERS-like coronaviruses in several labs around Wuhan, including a level three biocontainment facility, which has lesser security that the level four labs previously mentioned in relation to the outbreak.

MERS viruses have 30-50 percent fatality rates, with the source noting “If one of their receptor replacements made MERS spread similarly (to COVID-19), while maintaining its lethality, this pandemic would be nearly apocalyptic.”

Drastic issued a statement on the latest findings urging “Given that we find in this proposal a discussion of the planned introduction of human-specific cleavage sites, a review by the wider scientific community of the plausibility of artificial insertion is warranted.”

The accumulating scientific evidence that points to a potential coronavirus lab leak, as well as China’s record on bio-security, and its constant stonewalling, warrants an adequate global independent investigation, which hasn’t happened.

    Orange vest construction workers marched for a third day in Melbourne, Australia against mandatory vaccination rules, with one video showing a protester profusely bleeding after police cracked his skull.

    After authorities shut down the construction industry in Melbourne for two weeks in an effort to force workers to get vaccinated, anger only escalated, with the orange vests seen engaged in numerous clashes with police.

    The demonstrations continued for a third day, with numerous clips illustrating how irate the mandatory vaccine rule has made the workers as well as the brutality of the police response.

    “My skull is cracked,” said one man who said his name was Kyle Mitchell as he lie bleeding on the ground.

    Police arrested a mother merely for carrying a protest sign while her crying child clung on to her.

    Riot cops threw another woman to the ground.

    Another clip shows a female protester crying as she is dragged away by police.

    Another video purports to show police sending in agent provocateurs to stir up unoptical violence.

    Police fired rubber bullets at the demonstrators.

    One protester carried a sign saying “Andrews is the virus,” in reference to Dan Andrews, the Premier of Victoria.

    Another demonstrator asserted that the construction workers will never comply with communism.

    Journalists who have amplified the government’s lockdown narrative for over a year aren’t being treated with much respect.

    One of the protesters’ favorite chants is “every day,” as they vow to continue their resistance.

    As we document in the video below, the uprising has hallmarks of the Yellow Vest revolt in France given the demographic of the protesters and their distinctive clothing.
