Germany Closes Border to Europeans, But Migrants Still Allowed In

Refugee red carpet will continue, despite global pandemic.

Published

Germany has closed its border to visitors from Europe due to coronavirus, but migrants claiming asylum from the Middle East and Africa are still allowed to enter the country.

Aside from exemptions for people from France, Luxembourg, and Switzerland who are providing essential services, German authorities closed the country’s border to all foreign citizens last week.

However, according to the German Ministry of the Interior, so-called “asylum seekers,” a catch-all term that basically describes economic migrants fleeing from the Middle East and Africa, are still welcome.

“At Germany’s EU external borders [airports and seaports], there has been no change in the [asylum] procedure,” a representative of the Ministry of the Interior told Junge Freiheit.

This means that Europeans who previously had a right to enter Germany are being treated as second class citizens compared to migrants from the third world, who merely have to utter the word “asylum” to enter Germany and have their case heard, even in the midst of a deadly global pandemic.

“In practice, this means that if a migrant were to illegally enter the European Union’s Schengen Zone via Italy or Greece and make it to France or Switzerland, he can still demand asylum in Germany, and thus must be allowed to traverse these countries so that he can formally request it on German territory,” reports Voice of Europe.

The situation is similar in Sweden, where asylum seekers will continue to be processed and allowed to stay in the country despite a global pandemic.

Given that migrants already in Germany rioted and displayed ISIS flags when told their refugee camp had to be put in quarantine, one wonders whether newly arrived asylum seekers will obey lockdown rules.

As Breitbart highlights, attempts to enforce a quarantine in migrant-heavy areas of Paris are proving “impossible” because migrants just ignore the law and congregate in large crowds if confronted by police. Authorities cannot hand out fines to migrants due to fears of a violent “backlash.”

An Ipsos survey released last week showed that a majority of people in 12 different countries supported closing the borders until the coronavirus outbreak is contained.

French Official Says Quarantine Should Not be Enforced in Migrant Areas to Avoid Riots

“It is not a priority to enforce closings in certain neighborhoods.”

Published

on

A top government official in France has admitted that draconian lockdown measures being imposed on the rest of the population shouldn’t be implemented in the country’s migrant-heavy ghettos in order to prevent riots.

In a letter leaked to magazine Le Canard Enchaine, French Secretary of State to the Ministry of the Interior Laurent Nunez advises, “It is not a priority to enforce closings in certain neighborhoods and to stop gatherings.”

In a separate video conference call, Nunez told other officials that restricting movement and shutting down shops in France’s infamous banlieues risks igniting violent social disorder if enforced too rigorously.

A regional defense zone prefect who was in on the call agreed that businesses that had been closed down in other areas of France should remain open in poorer neighborhoods in order to help with “social mediation.”

“This undermining of the laws that Macron declared as essential, this clear disregard for the population as a whole, comes at a time when police, ambulance and firefighters face record levels of hostility when they venture into the suburbs where gangs set cars on fire then attack them when they arrive to help,” writes Damian Wilson.

As is illustrated in the clip below, whenever police attempt to enforce quarantine measures, or indeed any other act of law enforcement, in migrant-heavy areas, they are immediately surrounded and intimidated by gangs of migrants. It’s not uncommon for fire trucks and ambulances to be attacked in these “sensitive” areas.

Another clip shows migrants reacting to police attempts to enforce a quarantine by jumping on their vehicle.

As Breitbart reports, migrants in European cities across the continent simply do not respect the lockdown or the police officers trying to enforce it.

Police in the migrant area of Seine-Saint-Denis in Paris say they are overwhelmed by the number of people who refuse to stay indoors.

“We are not going to give up. But we also know where these people live and how they live. Strict containment, for them, is just impossible,” one officer explained.

Migrants at Refugee Camp in Germany Riot, Display ISIS Flags After They’re Put Under Coronavirus Quarantine

Threaten to burn down the facility.

Published

on

Migrants housed at a refugee camp in Germany began rioting, displayed the ISIS flag and subsequently tried to escape after they were put under a coronavirus quarantine.

After a migrant tested positive for coronavirus at the facility in Suhl, Thuringia, a quarantine was ordered for the other 533 residents and the camp was sealed off.

“But the measure, which in times of Corona seems not at all unusual, apparently drove the asylum seekers to a fury,” reports Compact Online. “Some of them started rioting and prevented inmates from entering the dining hall in order to force a hunger strike. They are said to have tried to leave the facility through the sewers to get to the nearby town.”

According to police spokesman Wolfgang Nicola, the migrants then gathered at the front gate and began threatening to burn down the facility while displaying ISIS flags.

Why they even have possession of ISIS flags in the first place is shocking.

50 police officers were dispatched to the scene to quell the riots. The same migrant camp was also the scene of riots back in 2015 in response to a man tearing pages out of the Koran.

“The danger that Corona will also break out in other shelters is omnipresent, a further restriction of public life is to be expected,” states the report. “It is hard to imagine that the capacities of the security forces and medical staff are sufficient to keep at bay angry illegal immigrants who do not want to comply with the protective measures against the spread of COVID-19.”

“If the Wuhan virus leads to major social unrest in Germany, the country’s multitudinous “refugees” are likely to play a major role,” warns Dave Blount.

As we highlighted yesterday, migrants in Naples, Italy are completely ignoring the quarantine order to stay indoors and are roaming around the streets.

Video: Greek Farmer on Tractor Uses Water Cannon to Repel Migrants

Thou shalt not pass.

Published

on

Video out of Greece shows a farmer on a tractor using a water cannon to repel migrants who are trying to break through the border.

Migrants are attempting to set fires under metal border fencing so they can weaken it.

However, as part of the wider people’s revolt against yet another incursion on the border, one Greek farmer fought back by dousing the migrants with water, driving the migrants away from the fence.

The water also wets the ground, making it harder for migrants to start fires.

Last month, President Erdogan announced that Turkey would be re-opening its border and encouraging millions of migrants to invade Europe.

Thanks to a strong response from Greek security forces and a massive revolt by the Greek people, there has been no repeat of 2015, when up to 2 million migrants eventually reached Europe.
