Video: Bloomberg Claims Americans Are ’22 Times More Likely To Get Killed” If They Have A Gun At Home

Pushes for gun control “at federal level”

Democratic Presidential candidate Mike Bloomberg made several dubious claims during a CNN townhall on Wednesday night, in an effort to push an extreme gun control agenda he has long sought to implement.

Without citing any specific statistics or studies, Bloomberg, who is surrounded 24/7 by armed guards, claimed that Americans are much more at risk of injury and death if they keep a gun at home.

“You don’t want to have guns. If you have a gun in your house you’re something like 22 times as likely to get killed with a gun.” Bloomberg claimed.

“There’s domestic violence, there’s children playing, there’s accidents.” he added.

Watch:

Despite Bloomberg’s claim, a study from his own Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health found no “clear association between firearm restrictions for domestic abusers and reduced fatal mass shootings.”

Bloomberg went on to jump to conclusions regarding a shooting at Molson Coors in Milwaukee, despite the fact that no detailed information about the gunman had been released at the time.

Bloomberg demanded that universal background checks should be implemented in all 50 states, but noted that “it’d be much easier if we could do it at a federal level.”

“I noticed when I was backstage, watching the president, he said ‘our prayers should be with the families,’ and I’m sympathetic with that, but what he should have said is, ‘We’re going to do something to have background checks to stop guns being sold to people that shouldn’t buy them,'” Bloomberg added.

He further claimed that the Supreme Court has ruled “reasonable restrictions” can be placed on Americans’ right to keep and bear arms under the Second Amendment.

“The reasonable privileges include things like background checks, so you don’t sell guns to minors, people with physiatric problems, or people with criminal records,” Bloomberg urged, further claiming that “if you did just that and took just 24 hours to go through the background check, you would make a very big difference in this country.”

Bloomberg was not the only Democrat to immediately push gun control in the wake of the Milwaukee incident, with Nancy Pelosi also calling for Congressional action, despite admitting a lack of any details on the shooting:

Biden Told Al Sharpton He Intends to Run Again in 2024

Democrats recoil in horror.

Despite continued questions over his mental degradation, Joe Biden has reportedly told Al Sharpton that he plans to run again for president in 2024.

Biden made the remark during a meeting with with the leaders of black civil rights groups at the White House last month.

An official from Sharpton’s National Action Network (NAN) told NBC that Biden had informed Sharpton of his plans to seek re-election.

“I’m going to do it again. I’m going,” Biden reportedly said, according to the reverend’s description of the conversation.

That comment isn’t going to be welcomed by the majority of Democrats and Democrat-leaning independents, 56 per cent of whom told an ABC News/Washington Post poll in late September that they didn’t want the 79-year-old to be their party’s candidate.

Whether Biden is telling the media one thing and close allies another is a definite possibility, given his other remarks.

When asked during an interview with CBS 60 Minutes whether he had made a “firm decision” on whether to run for re-election, Biden prevaricated.

“Look, my intention, as I said to begin with, is that I would run again,” Biden said in response, before adding, “But it’s just an intention. But is it a firm decision that I run again?” That remains to be seen.”

Biden would be in his mid-80’s by the time he left the White House if he won again in 2024.

Given that barely a day goes by without him embarrassing himself publicly, it seems like a stretch to suggest that Biden would perform anywhere near adequately in presidential debates two years from now.

The latest example occurred during a speech in Puerto Rico on Monday, where Biden had difficulties speaking and pronouncing words.

As we previously highlighted, former White House physician Ronny Jackson says that Joe Biden “won’t finish his term” because “his mind is too far gone.”

Leftist Former Italian PM Says ‘Return of Fascism’ Narrative is “Absolutely Fake News”

Asserts Georgia Meloni’s victory is not a “danger” to democracy.

The notion that right-wing candidate Georgia Meloni’s victory in Italy represents a threat to Italian democracy or the return of fascism is “absolutely fake news,” according to the country’s leftist former Prime Minister Matteo Renzi.

Whoops, narrative fail.

Meloni’s center-right coalition swept to victory in Sunday’s elections, easily defeating her left-wing opposition.

This prompted a wave of hysterical media coverage, with numerous publications warning of the “return of fascism in Italy,” due to the far-right origins of Meloni’s Brothers of Italy party.

However, such concerns were dismissed by an unexpected figure, former leftist Prime Minister Matteo Renzi.

“Personally frankly speaking, I was against Georgia Meloni, so I’m not her best friend…we were and will be rivals always,” Renzi told CNN.

“At the same time, I think that is not a danger to Italian democracy, he added.

“The idea there is a risk of fascism in Italy is absolutely fake news, she won because of populism,” the former Prime Minister asserted.

Renzi was the Prime Minister of Italy from 2014-2016 after serving as the Mayor of Florence, a traditionally left wing city, before that.

Meloni herself has repeatedly asserted that she is not a fascist and merely wants to represent the interests of Italians and not those of “nihilistic globalist elites, driven by international finance.”

Of course, merely to take that position guarantees vilification by an establishment which has repeatedly tried to create a moral panic around populism by asserting it represents a return to the 1930’s.
