Senator Cotton: China Refusing to Hand Over Evidence About Wuhan BioLab
New report says lab was likely source of coronavirus outbreak.

Published
2 years agoon

Senator Tom Cotton says that China is refusing to hand over evidence concerning the bio-safety level 4 research lab in Wuhan despite a new report from biological scientists at the South China University of Technology saying it may have been the source of the coronavirus outbreak.
During an appearance on Fox News, Cotton told Maria Bartiromo that new evidence confirmed the source of the virus was not the meat market in Wuhan.
“Here is what we do know. This virus did not originate in the Wuhan animal market,” said Cotton. “Epidemiologists who are widely respected from China published a study in the international journal Lancet have demonstrated that several of the original cases did NOT have any contact with that food market. The virus went into that food market before it came out of that food market. So we don’t know where it originated… We also know that only a few miles away from that market is China’s only bio-safety Level Four Super Laboratory that researches human infectious diseases.”
Cotton said that China’s “duplicity and dishonesty” meant that questions needed to be asked about the lab but that “China right now is not giving any evidence on that question at all” and Beijing was being “very secretive” on what happens at the lab.
Cotton also accused China of consistently blocking American scientists from traveling to Wuhan to assist in discovering the origins of the virus.
A new report by scientists at the South China University of Technology in Guangzhou, China concludes that “the killer coronavirus probably originated from a laboratory in Wuhan.”
One of the laboratories named in the report which was conducting research on bat coronavirus was located just 280 meters from the site of the Wuhan meat market.
For weeks, the media has demonized anyone who suggested the lab could have been responsible for the coronavirus outbreak as a dangerous conspiracy theorist peddling fake news.
However, now that CNN/NY Times journalist Ezra Cheung tweeted precisely that yesterday, one wonders whether they will begin to change their tune.

Investigation Launched After ‘Mystery’ Surge in Deaths of Newborn Babies
Health authorities say it’s not due to COVID infections.

16 May, 2022
Health authorities in Scotland have launched an investigation after a mystery surge in deaths of newborn babies, the second time the phenomenon has been recorded in the space of six months.
A report by the Herald newspaper highlights the “very unusual” spike in deaths of babies, with the alarm being raised after 18 infants died within four weeks of birth in March.
That same control limit was also breached in September last year, when 21 neonatal deaths were reported, the first time this had occurred since records began.
“The neonatal mortality rate was 5.1 per 1,000 live births in September and 4.6 per 1,000 in March, against an average of 1.49 per 1000 in 2019,” reports the newspaper.
Public Health Scotland (PHS) said the deaths could not have been down to chance, while the cause behind the previous spike in September also “remained a mystery.”
The report notes that vaccination uptake has increased in expectant mothers and that COVID infections during pregnancy are associated with a higher chance of premature birth, but found no “direct link” between COVID surges and the deaths.
PHS Scotland says COVID infections “did not appear to have played a role” in the September spate of deaths.
Edinburgh University’s Dr. Sarah Stock said, “The numbers are really troubling,” but admitted she didn’t know the cause of the deaths.

Photos, Maskless Fauci Hangs Out With Leftist Media Puppets At Crowded Dinner Party
The servants were masked

Anthony Fauci declared that he would not be attending last night’s White House Correspondent’s Dinner because COVID, but instead he went to a crowded pre-party to take maskless selfies with Don Lemon.
Sean Spicer pointed out the rampant hypocrisy:
Fauci bailed on attending the White House Correspondents’ Dinner because of “individual assessment of my personal risk." …..so he just went to the crowed pre-parties #WHCD pic.twitter.com/OEkX9OuYHL

How many times have Lemon and Fauci sat in a TV studio condemning everyone else for being reckless when it comes to social distancing and masks?
No masks or social distancing tonight at the #WHCD absolutely reckless #thinkofthechildren pic.twitter.com/C1TrUY2QIN

Fauci on not attending WHCD: "1 of the things people need to understand, you shouldn't judge 1 person's decision to be applicable broadly … you shouldn't question them. You should accept a person's personal decision, which should not influence someone else's personal decision"

Of course, the hired help were all wearing masks:
As long as the servants are masked, the virus won’t spread amongst the elite. It’s just good science. pic.twitter.com/PUOhepKmlJ

Elsewhere during the event, some reporters complained that there were too many people breathing close to each other, but still took maskless selfies anyway:

Wow—a CO2 concentration reading at the @WHCA dinner tonight… at 8:20pm. A CO2 of 2233 is over *5.5x higher* than outdoors, and is a sign of VERY poor ventilation. They should have added more air disinfection at #whitehousecorrespondentsdinner.

Video: Fauci Decrees That CDC Should Be Above Authority Of Courts
“Fauci is saying that unelected CDC bureaucrats should be able to impose their will on the country without question or pushback”
Published

22 April, 2022Steve Watson

Anthony Fauci emerged from under his bridge Thursday in an appearance no one saw on the hilariously soon to be trashed CNN+ to declare that the CDC and scientific ‘experts’ like himself should be above the jusrisdiction of courts.
Fauci suggested that a federal judge who struck down the mask mandate as “unlawful,” should not have the authority to do so.
On Monday, U.S. District Judge Kathryn Kimball Mizelle ruled that the mask mandate “exceeded the CDC’s statutory authority, improperly invoked the good cause exception to notice and comment rulemaking, and failed to adequately explain its decisions.”
Fauci declared that he “was both surprised and disappointed,” adding that “those types of things really are the purview of the CDC. This is a public health issue.”
“For a court to come in and interfere in that, is really unfortunate. It’s unfortunate because it’s against public health principles,” Fauci claimed.
“If you look at the rationale for that, it really is not particularly firm, and we are concerned about that, about courts getting involved in things that are unequivocally a public health decision,” Fauci asserted, decreeing that “This is a CDC issue, should not have been a court issue.”
He also claimed it would have been “perfectly logical” for the CDC to continue to extend the mask mandate indefinitely.

This will probably get some pick up.

And that again highlights why unelected bureaucrats like Fauci shouldn’t be elevated to positions of authority.
Absolutely insane. Fauci is saying that unelected CDC bureaucrats should be able to impose their will on the country without question or pushback. Just nuts. https://t.co/C3PATKuUXk

Is there a time, any time, regarding any power, that it IS appropriate for the checks and balances system we have to check the CDC’s “sound public-health decisions,” according to Fauci? He seems to indicate no. But his personal judgment is not a workable limiting principle. https://t.co/8eQXlcD2IU
— Mary Katharine Ham (@mkhammer) April 21, 2022
Dr. Fauci really shouldn't be commenting on issues that are unequivocally statutory authority issues. https://t.co/PlLpBYel7E
