Verified Leftists Celebrate Rush Limbaugh’s Cancer on Twitter
Amoral monsters.

Numerous verified leftists on Twitter reacted to Rush Limbaugh’s announcement that he was suffering from “advanced lung cancer” by celebrating the news.
The veteran radio host broke the news earlier today on his show, telling his viewers, “I can’t help but feel that I’m letting everybody down with. The upshot is that I have been diagnosed with advanced lung cancer.”
Blue check marks on Twitter couldn’t contain their delight.
“It’s not cool to joke about Rush Limbaugh having cancer. You might jinx it,” said writer Johnny McNulty.
Writer and director Xavier Burgin called Limbaugh “an odious, white supremacist, scum of the Earth” and said his cancer should be celebrated as “good news for Black History Month.”
Is Rush Limbaugh an odious, white supremacist, scum of the Earth who’s contributed to the racist zeitgeist of America? Yes.
But should we truly celebrate the possibility of his death? Also, yes.

“Seeing a lot of people celebrating the news about Rush Limbaugh. And I just want to say good. Carry on,” remarked GQ writer and Bernie Sanders supporter Freddie Campion.

NYT bestselling author Jamie Ford reacted to Limbaugh’s cancer by equating him with a fascist and commenting, “History is a harsh mistress.”
Charles Coughlin was the Rush Limbaugh of the Great Depression. 30 million tuned in as he railed against the New Deal (socialism), embraced fascism, and spewed anti-Semitic rhetoric.
Few remember him because he wasn't a builder he was a wrecker.
History is a harsh mistress.

John Tayler tweeted, “It’s only fitting that this cancer upon the world should be stricken by it.”
Left-wing website Raw Story taunted Limbaugh by bringing up an old show in which the radio host had said “I would like a medal for smoking.”

Media Matters’ Oliver Willis reacted to the tragic news by calling Limbaugh a sexist.

Numerous other leftists in a Huffington Post thread announcing Limbaugh’s lung cancer also reacted with glee.
“At least one of my prayers was answered,” remarked one.
“Sometimes, every once in a while, there is a tiny bit of justice,” added another.
“May he suffer a painful humiliating death, the same way he humiliated others, Amen. Enjoy Hell Rush,” remarked another.
“Fuck Rush Limbaugh. Also, fuck his cancer for being 40 years too late,” said Christopher M Ohlhoff.
Counterpoint to what seems to be the prevailing opinion on Rush Limbaugh's cancer:
Fuck Rush Limbaugh.
Also, fuck his cancer for being 40 years too late.

These are the same people who will assert the moral high ground at every available opportunity.
In reality, they’re amoral monsters who want to see people suffer painful deaths simply because they hold different political opinions.

CNN’s Acosta Prompts Fake News Wave After Reporting Abe Lincoln Bust Was “Leaving” the White House
Olbermann and others falsely claim it was stolen.

CNN’s Jim Acosta set off a fake news wave when he reported that a bust of Abe Lincoln was “leaving” the White House, leading many, including Keith Olbermann, to claim it was being stolen.
The item was one of a number of things being removed by members of the Trump administration before Joe Biden’s inauguration next week.
“More stuff (appears to be Abe Lincoln bust) leaving the West Wing this afternoon,” tweeted Acosta alongside an image of a man carrying the bust.

This prompted blue checkmarks on Twitter to have meltdowns, claiming a Trump administration member was stealing the item.
“Sure! Add a little theft to treason,” said Keith Olbermann.
“Now they’re looters on top of everything else?” remarked Markos Moulitsas.
John Aravosis jumped on the tweet to assert that the Trump family was “looting the White House.”

However, as the Independent reports, the bust was not being removed as a personal item.
“The statue will be returned to a museum, as incoming officials generally choose their own items from among national artefacts to decorate the White House during their term,” states the report.
Maybe Acosta should have clarified that, although it doesn’t take much to set off Keith Olbermann, who is prone to routine outbursts, including when he angrily asserted that all Trump supporters should be “prosecuted, convicted, and removed from society.”

Attorney: Trump Impeachment Sets Precedent Presidents Are Responsible For Actions of Their Supporters
Says real impact would be to gut free speech.
Published

11 January, 2021
Attorney Jonathan Turley has warned that the impending impeachment of Donald Trump over the storming of Capitol Hill sets the precedent that presidents can be impeached for the actions of their supporters.
Top Democrats say they “have the votes” to introduce articles of impeachment against Trump for “inciting an insurrectionist mob” during last week’s incident.
The text of the resolution accuses Trump of “willfully inciting violence against the Government of the United States.”
However, according to attorney Jonathan Turley, Trump’s speech to his supporters before the occupation of the Capitol “does not meet the definition of incitement under the U.S. criminal code” and “would be considered protected speech by the Supreme Court.”

The article is expected to be introduced Monday by Reps. Ciciline, Lieu, and Raskin, and has more than 200 Democratic co-sponsors. pic.twitter.com/DAZle1w59g
— NBC News (@NBCNews) January 11, 2021
Turley says that the real danger would be to normalize “snap impeachments,” gut free speech and “create precedent for the impeachment of any president who can be blamed for the violent acts of others after the use of reckless or inflammatory language.”
“There was no call for lawless action by Trump. Instead, there was a call for a protest at the Capitol,” he writes.
“Moreover, violence was not imminent; the vast majority of the tens of thousands of protesters present were not violent before the march, and most did not riot inside the Capitol. Like many violent protests we have witnessed over the last four years, including Trump’s 2017 inauguration, the criminal conduct was carried out by a smaller group of instigators. Capitol police knew of the planned march but declined an offer of National Guard personnel because they did not view violence as likely.”
Despite the hysteria that has been generated by the media surrounding the Capitol Hill storming, most analysts say a second attempt at impeaching Trump would ultimately fail, primarily because many lawmakers fear it would just stir up more anger and distract from Joe Biden’s first 100 days as president.

FCC Reminds Broadcasters of Need to Comply With Emergency Alert System After Facebook Bans Trump
Speculation advisory related to storming of Capitol building.
Published
1 week agoon
7 January, 2021
In an announcement made on the same day Facebook and Instagram “indefinitely” banned President Trump, the FCC reminded broadcasters of their legal obligation to comply with relaying messages via the Emergency Alert System.
The Emergency Alert System is overseen by the federal government and allows the president to address the nation via all television and radio stations in the event of a national emergency. Broadcasters are required by law to cut into their programming and relay emergency messages.
An advisory which appeared on the official FCC website today titled ‘Enforcement Bureau Reminds EAS Participants of Compliance Obligations’ has raised eyebrows given that it was posted less than 24 hours after Trump supporters stormed the Capitol building in Washington DC, prompting a National Guard response.
“The Enforcement Bureau of the Federal Communications Commission (Commission or FCC) issues this Enforcement Advisory to remind broadcasters, cable television operators, wireless cable operators, wireline video service providers, satellite digital audio radio service providers, and direct broadcast satellite providers (EAS Participants) of their obligation to comply with the EAS rules, including ensuring that EAS alerts are accessible to persons with disabilities,” states the advisory.
Attention broadcasters, cable operators & other Emergency Alert System participants: @FCC has issued a reminder about #EAS compliance obligations. https://t.co/7g036lvyxm
— The FCC (@FCC) January 7, 2021
Respondents to a Twitter thread about the EAS also noted that the system had been tested in both New York and Alabama earlier today.
Whether the reminder had anything to do with President Trump being suspended for 12 hours by Twitter or banned “indefinitely” by Facebook and Instagram isn’t known.
However, it would be naive to think that the announcement doesn’t have something to do with yesterday’s events.
