Stephen King Savaged by ‘Woke’ Mob For Saying Art Should be Judged on Quality, Not “Diversity”

How dare he?

Published

Author Stephen King is facing potential cancellation from the ‘woke’ mob after he responded to the Oscar nominations by saying art should be judged on quality, not the “diversity” of its creators.

King was responding to controversy surrounding the Oscar nominations being too “white” and too “male”.

Vogue reported that the choices were “a pretty poor showing for…well, anyone other than straight white men,” complaining that no females were nominated for best director and “zero performers of color were nominated in the best supporting actor and best supporting actress categories.”

King responded on Twitter by daring to suggest that potential winners should be judged on their merits and not their genitalia or skin color.

“As a writer, I am allowed to nominate in just 3 categories: Best Picture, Best Adapted Screenplay, and Best Original Screenplay,” tweeted King.

“For me, the diversity issue–as it applies to individual actors and directors, anyway–did not come up. That said…I would never consider diversity in matters of art. Only quality. It seems to me that to do otherwise would be wrong,” he added.

For daring to suggest that movies should be judged solely on whether they are good or not, King faced an immediate backlash from ‘woke’ Twitter users.

“When films created by people of color, irrespective of quality, constantly get overlooked by institutions that are predominately comprised of white men, there is an implicit bias at work here,” responded Morgan Jerkins.

“Sir, respectfully saying you as a white man can’t really say that. You had more advantages and opportunities than a person of color would have. They have been wrongfully held back in so many ways just because of their color skin,” tweeted David Weissman.

“With all due respect, I’m afraid that a meritocracy could work only if the game weren’t rigged,” responded Laura Lippman.

“That is like saying “I don’t see color” and as problematic,” lectured another user.

The backlash from the woke mob is particularly funny given that King panders to them 99% of the time with his endless anti-Trump diatribes.

But 99% is not enough – unless you show flawless devotion to the cult – you will be cancelled.

New Poll Shows Gen Z Has Most Negative Opinion of Cancel Culture

Is cancel culture canceled?

A new Morning Consult poll reveals a quite surprising result – the most ardent generational opponents of ‘cancel culture’ is Gen Z.

While one would have expected boomers to be cancel culture’s most vehement adversary, it actually turns out to be the youngest generation.

The poll shows that 55% of Gen Z, those born between 1997 and 2008, have an overwhelmingly negative opinion of cancel culture compared to just 8% in the same age group who think the opposite.

As Paul Graham notes, “This trend is visible even within Gen Z. The younger the person, the higher the probability that they have a negative view of cancel culture.”

This negative view beats the 50% of baby boomers who think the same.

The survey also reveals the rather unsurprising truth that cancel culture’s biggest support comes from millennials, with 36% vehemently opposed.

While Generation Z seems particularly susceptible to ‘gender identity’ nonsense, there seems to be a hardcore within that age group which is genuinely starting to rebel against the ‘woke’ crusade.

According to previous research Gen Z is also more conservative both fiscally and socially, taking its place as “the most conservative generation since World War II.”

Miley Cyrus Tells Young Fans to “Ask Daddy” to Buy Them Merchandise Featuring “I [Heart] DICK” Slogan

What a fantastic example to young women.

Pop star Miley Cyrus has told her young fans to “ask Daddy” to buy them her new clothing merchandise, which includes the words “i [heart] DICK” alongside spraying droplets meant to represent semen.

Lovely stuff.

The $35 muscle tee, which was modeled by the 28-year-old by her kneeling on top of her father’s car with her butt sticking out, prominently features the slogan “MILEY CYRUS MADE ME REALIZE I AM GAY!”

“IDK what @billyraycyrus is gonna be more pissed about! Me making a shirt that says “I [heart] Dick” or crawling all over his truck in my @gucci heels!” Cyrus wrote on Instagram.

“Speaking of Daddy’s ask yours for 35 bucks and get the new “Miley made me gay” merch on Shop.MileyCyrus.com!” she added.

Wow, talk about ‘daddy issues’.

According to the Daily Mail, the garment also features “a couple of penises and a tongue.”

Again, how lovely.

As we highlighted back in 2019, following a failed attempt to return to a more wholesome image, Cyrus decided to stick with being a trashy and promiscuous whore.

When she was married to actor Liam Hemsworth, she said she didn’t like being called a “wife” and was still attracted to girls.

The couple divorced months later.

Imagine my shock.

The singer also celebrated the fact that her parents don’t use the words “husband” and “wife.”

Just like many other celebrities who were groomed from the Disney to Babylon pipeline, Cyrus’ behavior continues to provide the very worst example to young girls, who like her will end up miserable and alone.

Survey Finds Millennials Think Reading Books, Using Cash & Talking on Phone Are Signs Someone is ‘Living in the Dark Ages’

Yet the activities they prefer make them lonely and miserable.

According to a new survey of millennials, reading books, using cash and talking on the phone are some of the signs that you are “living in the dark ages.”

Yes, really.

They poll of 25-40 year olds was conducted by Energy retailer Love Energy Savings.

Using cash was the top answer, with 28 per cent of millennials believing that something that was commonplace as little as 10 years ago (and still is in many countries) is a sign that people are completely out of touch.

Presumably, only using digital payments that encourage you to get into more debt and which can be more easily tracked and traced is trendy.

Another one of the top answers, chosen by 18 per cent of respondents, was “reading books,” which despite being linked with increased happiness and carrying obvious educational benefits, isn’t cool.

Going to church and talking on the phone are also seriously ‘dark age’ activities, according to millennials.

The answers aren’t that surprising given the fact that millennials are so unhappy, with deaths of despair soaring amongst the age group, which is more depressed than any other generation.

Maybe if they actually talked to people more instead of sending disappearing Snapchat texts or read books instead of flipping idly through TikTok videos for hours, they’d be more content.

Maybe if they went to church instead of spending all day indoors watching mindless YouTube videos, they’d also be more cheerful.

As we previously highlighted, a different survey revealed that almost a quarter of millennials say they have no friends while 30% say they are always or often lonely.

Maybe if they reduced their obsession with activities that exacerbate those problems, feelings of loneliness and alienation would be greatly reduced.
