Glacier Park in Montana Set to Remove ‘Glaciers Will All Be Gone By 2020’ Signs
Well, this is awkward.
Published
1 year agoon
Montana’s Glacier National Park is being forced to remove all signs that read “glaciers will all be gone by 2020,” after the doomsday scenario didn’t happen.
Some of the signs were already removed last year as it became clear the prediction wasn’t going to unfold.
Now the rest of the signs will have to be taken down too.
Glacier National Park spokeswoman Gina Kurzmen “told MTN News that the latest research shows shrinking, but in ways much more complex than what was predicted. Because of this, the park must update all signs around the park stating all glaciers will be melted by 2020,” reports 8KPAX.

In the late 90’s and early 2000s, scientists predicted that man-made global warming would cause melting glaciers, leading to rapidly rising sea levels that would sink coastal cities and towns.
The more dire forecasts have proven to be totally inaccurate and some glaciers are now growing.
Back in June, NASA reported that the Jakobshavn Glacier in western Greenland had thickened and “has grown for the third year in a row.”
The glacier prediction is by no means the only forecast global warming alarmists have got spectacularly wrong.
At the end of the 70’s, climate experts said that a new ice age was coming. It didn’t happen.
Paul Erlich’s prediction that hundreds of millions of people would die of starvation due to crop failure by the 1980’s also didn’t happen.
The 2004 prediction that major European cities would be underwater and that Britain would be plunged into a Siberian climate by 2020 didn’t happen.
Al Gore’s doomsday warning that the Arctic would have ice free summers by 2013 didn’t happen either.
Maybe since these “experts” been caught lying time and time again, we should stop listening to them.

Video: Imagine The Frothing Hysteria From Leftists If Trump Advocated Blocking Out The Sun
“They would freak out! What are you, nuts? You’re nuts!”

As the likes of the New York Times continue to seriously push calls from Bill Gates funded ‘scientists’ to experiment with dimming The Sun to combat climate change, one commentator asked viewers to imagine the reaction if President Trump had suggested the exact same thing.
Fox News commentator Greg Gutfeld noted that leftists would “freak out” if the scheme had been adopted by Trump.
“I ask you this, what if this had come out of Trump’s mouth in an interview when a reporter says, ‘President Trump, President Trump how would you reduce global warming?’ He’d look at him and he’d go ‘why not block the sun?’ They would freak out! What are you, nuts? You’re nuts!” Gutfeld said.
Gutfeld sarcastically continued, “No, this is actually in The New York Times and they have solar engineers and experts saying, so actually I am behind this 100%. I’m behind it 100%. I can’t wait.”
“I don’t know if it’s that crazy of an idea because you’ve got solar engineers involved and I like engineers, and the thing is it is easier to block the sun than to put sunblock all over the Earth,” he added.
As we reported last week, an effort to dim the sun has been scrapped by the Swedish Space Agency, who announced that the SCoPEx program, funded by Bill Gates, has ‘divided the scientific community’ and will therefore not be carried out.
The idea comes off as a weird vampirish effort to starve the planet of sunlight, the driver of all life, with little scientific logic behind it at all.
Bill Gates, who is flogging a book about climate change, has poured millions into geoengineerng, funnelling at least $4.6 million to the lead researcher on SCoPEx, Harvard applied physics scientist David Keith.
Keith told Reuters that it is only “a setback,” however, and suggested the project could move to the US, where the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine recently published a report calling for $100-200 million to be pumped into solar geoengineering over the next five years.
Gates has repeatedly lauded the notion of dimming the Sun, noteably during a Ted Talk in 2010:

Good News: Bill Gates’ Geoengineering Plot To Block The Sun Is Scrapped…
…For now

An effort to dim the sun to stop global warming has been scrapped by the Swedish Space Agency, who announced that the program, funded by Bill Gates, has ‘divided the scientific community’ and will therefore not be carried out.
The Swedish Space Corporation (SSC) released a statement saying that the Stratospheric Controlled Perturbation Experiment (SCoPEx), which also had secured Harvard funding, will not go ahead as planned in June.
“SSC has had dialogues this spring with both leading experts on geoengineering and with other stakeholders, as well as with the SCoPEx Advisory Board,” the statement reads, adding “As a result of these dialogues and in agreement with Harvard, SSC has decided not to conduct the technical test flight planned for this summer.”
It also notes that “The scientific community is divided regarding geoengineering, including any related technology tests such as the planned technical balloon test flight from Esrange this summer.”
The Gates funded idea would have seen the release of calcium carbonate, essentially chalk dust, into the atmosphere from a high-altitude balloon to observe the effect it has on sunlight reaching the planet surface.
The ultimate goal of the study was to reduce the temperature on the planet in an effort to stave off global warming.
However, not surprisingly, the notion of blocking out the Sun proved somewhat unpopular, with environmental groups warning of potential “catastrophic consequences.”
The Saami Council, an advocate group for Sweden’s indigenous population, warned that the Gates experiment “essentially attempts to mimic volcanic eruptions by continuously spewing the sky with sun-dimming particles.”
The group also pointed out that SCoPEx could have “irreversible sociopolitical effects” and would do nothing to reduce Carbon emissions, which are touted as the leading cause of climate change.
Essentially, the whole idea comes off as a weird vampirish effort to starve the planet of sunlight, the driver of all life, with little scientific logic behind it at all.
Bill Gates, who is flogging a book about climate change, has poured millions into geoengineerng, funnelling at least $4.6 million to the lead researcher on SCoPEx, Harvard applied physics scientist David Keith.
Gates has repeatedly lauded the notion of dimming the Sun, noteably during a Ted Talk in 2010:
Many have connected SCoPEx research into the use of stratospheric aerosols for geoengineering with so called ‘chemtrails’, suggesting that a spraying program has been ongoing in secret for years.
While the project was given a red light by Sweden, it doesn’t mean it is going away.
David Keith told Reuters that it is only “a setback,” and suggested the project could move to the US, where the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine recently published a report calling for $100-200 million to be pumped into solar geoengineering over the next five years.

Guardian Promotes ‘Global Lockdown’ Every Two Years To Combat Climate Change
We told you this was coming next…

The London Guardian has suggested that global lockdowns will be needed every two years in order to save the planet.
The outlet used the (now changed) alarmist headline ‘Global Lockdown Every Two Years Needed To Meet Paris CO2 Goals – Study’.
The piece refers to study published in the Nature journal by a team of researchers at the University of East Anglia, who concluded that CO2 emissions need to drop by the same amount as they have during the recent lockdown period “roughly every two years” in order to offset global warming.
The study did not advocate global lockdowns in order to achieve this, despite the Guardian’s misleading headline. In fact it called for “completely different methods”.

The headline was changed to the slightly less fear mongering ‘Equivalent of Covid emissions drop needed every two years – study’ after a backlash ensued.
Evidently I wasn't the only one who thought the original headline was terrible – the Guardian changed the title, eliminating the suggestion that we need a lockdown every 2 years. 👏👏

After many climate alarmists began touting the environmental virtues of lockdowns last year, we warned that climate lockdowns would become a thing:
The Guardian also has a history of over-hyping alarmist climate warnings, having previously reported that by 2020 we would be seeing “millions” of deaths, major European cities being sunken, and nuclear war due to planetary warming.
Remember guys, it's just 5 days until the UK is "plunged into a Siberian climate."

The Newspaper’s alarmist call for lockdowns comes days after the World Economic Forum was slammed for praising the effects lockdowns have had on cities:

The WEF had posted a video praising the “silence” and cleaner air due to a lack of people, but later deleted the post after social media users pointed out that cities are not supposed to be quiet, and lockdowns are leaving many facing extreme financial hardship.
In a properly functioning, healthy society, cities aren’t supposed to be “quiet.” Always very revealing when they let the mask slip. https://t.co/v2BukFoqf9
