As police stand by and allow hipster ‘protesters’ under the ‘Extinction Rebellion’ banner to bring London to a standstill again, it has been revealed that during protests two years ago, the climate change obsessed extremists dumped 120 TONS of garbage on to the streets.

The London Telegraph notes that Nickie Aiken, Conservative MP for Cities of London and Westminster, cited a report pointing to the cleanup costing £50,000 in 2019.

The report notes:

The former leader of City of Westminster Council said: “The disruption to local people and businesses is immeasurable. I was told by the council that last time Extinction Rebellion were here for two weeks, they cleared 120 tons of rubbish left behind. That added £50,000 to their costs. This is local people’s council tax.”

They can’t even be bothered to clean up after themselves, but they will repeatedly tell you that you are killing the planet by traveling to work on a train.

In addition, the report notes that the protesters claim to be targeting the ‘wealthy’ in London, but repeatedly disrupt poorer people’s lives.

“Westminster and the City of London are considered very wealthy areas, but I want to remind people that actually it’s not all about wealth. There are major areas of deprivation in central London and 25 per cent of homes are social rented. 

“The wealthy who live here have gone for the summer, so it’s those who live here permanently and can’t escape who are living with this so-called ‘beautiful chaos’.”

Aiken also noted that local police resources have been diverted to deal with the protesters, leaving local neighbourhoods without a police presence.

“The police resources going into policing this protest in the next fortnight is shocking. At the same time, our neighbourhoods are not seeing their local police officers because they’re in central London.”

Extinction Rebellion claims that there was “no extra cost” to the taxpayer in regards to their 2019 protests, and that the 120 tons of rubbish dropped on the streets isn’t abnormal because it was over a two week period.

As we noted at the height of the protests two years ago, just 8% of people support the message and methods of protest used by Extinction Rebellion, described by Professor and sociologist Frank Furedi as “a carnival for middle classes who love to dress up as activists.”

A Swedish politician who suggested that the UN’s “code red” climate report was “scare propaganda” was subsequently forced to resign from her political party.

Earlier this week, the United Nations released a hysterical report that enjoyed wall to wall media coverage warning of ecological apocalypse if ordinary people didn’t radically change their lifestyles.

Hundreds of the same individuals who amplified that message are preparing to board fleets of CO2-belching airliners to lecture the rest of us once again at an upcoming climate summit later this year in Scotland.

One woman who dared express a modicum of skepticism was Ingrid Vesterlund of the Centre Party.

In an interview with a local newspaper in Luleå, Vesterlund criticized alarmist media coverage of the IPCC report, commenting, “It’s obviously a disaster whether it’s sun, rain, wind, wind, sea or water – everything is a catastrophic situation right now.”

After party colleagues distanced themselves from Vesterlund’s remarks, she immediately offered her resignation, saying that she didn’t want to “harm” the party.

Vesterlund even tried to walk part part of her remarks, but was booted from the party anyway.

“That’s right. It went wrong and I regret the interview to the extent that it did not appear what I really wanted to get out,” she said.

“I do not deny the content of the UN climate report, but wanted to highlight that there are other reports that show a different picture than the one that is usually painted in the media,” Vesterlund added.

An added irony to the story is the fact that Jim Kossin, one of the authors of the UN report, openly lauded the fact that people “starting to get scared” in reaction to fearmongering rhetoric was a benefit to the UN’s political agenda.

“I think more and more people are starting to get scared,” said Kossin, adding, “I think that’ll help to change people’s attitudes. And hopefully that’ll affect the way they vote.”

So in other words, Vesterlund was basically booted for agreeing with an actual member of the UN panel that produced the report.

One of the authors of the United Nations IPCC report who focused on “extreme” consequences of man-made global warming lauded the fact that “people are starting to get scared” about climate change and that this would “affect the way they vote.”

Yesterday, the UN released a hysterical report which enjoyed saturation media coverage warning of a “code red” ecological apocalypse if humanity didn’t drastically alter its way of living.

According to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, humans are “unequivocally” to blame, with U.N. Secretary-General António Guterres calling for a total end to the use of coal and fossil fuels.

However, the true agenda behind the fearmongering was betrayed by one of the authors of the report, Jim Kossin, who helped write one of the chapters on “extremes.”

“I think more and more people are starting to get scared,” said Kossin, adding, “I think that’ll help to change people’s attitudes. And hopefully that’ll affect the way they vote.”

In other words, Kossin is acknowledging that the alarmist rhetoric deployed by the UN is a PR stunt intended to convince more people to vote for left-wing parties who will gleefully allow the UN to seize more control over the future of sovereign nations.

As Dr. Roger Pielke JR. points out, the report obsesses on the ‘extreme’ scenarios in order to frighten despite them being the least likely to happen.

“So this is a BIG problem. The scenarios IPCC admits are unlikely [to] dominate the report w/ 41.5% of all scenario mentions. The scenarios judged most likely under current trends get only 18.4% of mentions. Implausible scenarios (8.5 + 7.0) total 53% of mentions, more than half! The literature is heavily biased to extreme scenarios,” said Pielke.

As ever with UN global warming hysteria, the intention is to frighten populations into total compliance and handing over their economic and individual freedoms to the UN.

These are many of the same people who attempted to exploit subsequently debunked fears over “global cooling” in the 70’s to swallow up power.

Al Gore and other UN-affiliated scientists also infamously claimed that the North Pole would be “ice free” by 2013.

It never happened. Satellite images actually showed that the ice grew thicker during that time period.

“It is more recycled nonsense,” said Marc Morano. “I don’t know how else to say it stronger. I can’t believe they just do this relentlessly every three to five years, and here we are again.

“This is essentially the belief that unless we submit to a future where government overlords will control everything, we will face a catastrophe. The UN is literally trying to lobbying you into voting for politicians who want to take ‘climate action.’”
