Former Archbishop of Canterbury Compares Greta Thunberg to Biblical Prophet
Likens climate activist to Prophet Jeremiah.
Former Archbishop of Canterbury Sir Rowan Williams has compared Swedish climate change activist Greta Thunberg to biblical prophets.
Yes, really.
During a discussion on the topic of living prophetically at the ecumenical Korsvei festival in Seljord, Norway, Williams spoke about Thunberg in terms that wouldn’t look out of place when describing Jesus Christ.
“God has raised up a prophet in Greta Thunberg in a way that no one could predict. She has said things that no one else could have said. Thank God for her!”, he said.
Williams went on to compare Thunberg to Prophet Jeremiah, asserting that she had arrived as a force to speak to nations and represented “a very good example of a prophetic voice.”
Another participant at the event, Simon Korsmoe, said the comparison was accurate because, “Jeremiah was not accepted because he spoke clearly from the Lord against the powers that be. Earthly power and spiritual purity are often in conflict.”
The notion that Thunberg is speaking “against the powers that be” is completely ludicrous given that her command and control rhetoric is supported and amplified by every major government, corporation, mainstream media outlet and cultural institution in the west.
This is by no means the first time Thunberg has been deified.
Back in 2019, the Church of Sweden rung its bells across the city of Malmö in support of Greta Thunberg and her climate strike.
The previous year, the same institution hailed the activist as “Jesus’s Successor.”
In reality, Thunberg is merely an empty mouthpiece for her activist parents.
This was underscored during a press conference last year when she was unable to answer a simple question without reading off a script.

British Government Will Have to Force People to Eat Less Red Meat to Meet Climate Change Targets
Advisory encouragement won’t be sufficient.
Christopher Snowdon of the Institute for Economic Affairs warns that the British government will only achieve its climate change targets by forcing people to eat less red meat.
Snowden made the comments during an appearance on GB News after a leaked report by the National Food Strategy (NFS) which encouraged people to consume “edible algae and fermented protein alternatives such as microbes and plant biomass.”
“In principle, there could be a justification for government action…Boris Johnson has made some extremely ambitious climate change targets…and to do that, if he’s serious about doing it, at some point he’s going to have to stop advising people to fly less and eat less red meat and find ways of forcing people,” said Snowden, adding that this would be tough to impose democratically.
Snowden noted that when governments in other countries have attempted to impose climate change-based taxes, the end result has been massive riots, such as the ‘Yellow Vest’ unrest in France which was partially motivated by onerous gas tax hikes and other regulations impacting rural workers.
“I think the government is going to really struggle to get the public onside once they see what is required to meet these targets,” he added.

Last month, the British government enshrined climate goals into law that mandate a 78% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2035 compared to 1990 levels.
By 2050, the government wants Britain to be achieving near zero emissions by 2050, although critics have questioned how this is possible without monumental changes to our way of life and economic output.
According to the government’s Climate Change Committee (CCC), people should be “asked” to eat 20% less meat and diary products by 2030 and 35% less by 2050.
While the government isn’t yet forcing people to alter their diets, they have set about banning numerous things deemed to be harmful to the planet, including gas boilers by 2033 and sales of new petrol and diesel cars by 2030.

Video: Biden Suggests “Global Warming” Could Have Caused Condo To Collapse
They never let any crisis go to waste
Joe Biden suggested Thursday that it was “rational speculation” to suggest that global warming may have been the cause of the condo to collapse in Miami.
“We don’t have any firm proof of what’s happened,” Biden said, adding “There are all kinds of discussions about whether or not they thought that water level rising, what impact it had.”
He continued, “And interesting to me, I didn’t raise it, but how many of the survivors and how many of the families talked about the impact of global warming. How much, and they [don’t] know exactly, [but] they talked about sea levels rising and about how, how they were, and and the combination of that and the concern about incoming storms, incoming tropical storms.”

It is patently ridiculous to jump to ‘rising sea levels’ and storms as a potential cause of building collapsing before any investigation into building quality and maintenance has been carried out, yet it isn’t the first time it has been raised.
Days ago Biden’s Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm suggested that climate change could have played a role in the collapse.
“Obviously, we don’t know fully, but we do know that the seas are rising. We know that we’re losing inches and inches of beaches, not just in Florida but all around,” Granholm said.
“Michigan, where I’m from, we’ve seen the loss of beaches because the waters are rising, so this is a phenomenon that will continue,” she added.
Eh?
This wouldn’t have anything to do with Biden’s impending infrastructure bill would it?
