UPDATE: Sources inside DC police tell us Shroyer will be held overnight and will be appearing before a judge tomorrow morning in the DC Superior Court.

Radio host Owen Shroyer was arrested after staging a protest outside the Trump impeachment trial despite anti-Trump demonstrators being left alone while protesting at the exact same location.

Shroyer held a sign which read, “Tech companies banned me from social media, Democrats are trying to ban me form the Capitol.”

“What you are doing is considered an active demonstration,” one capitol security officer tells Shroyer, adding, “If you don’t cease and desist, you will be arrested.”

Shroyer is later told a small paper sign he’s holding up is considered a “demonstration,” and that the capitol is a demonstration-free zone, despite anti-Trump demonstrators frequently being allowed to protest at the same location.

Owen was in DC this week not only to cover the Virginia gun rally and Women’s March, but to face charges for his arrest last month after he disrupted Trump impeachment proceedings.

The First Amendment is on life support.

A German panel of linguists which decides on a new word to ‘ban’ every year has announced the ‘un-wording’ of the term “climate hysteria” because it undermines propaganda about man-made global warming.

First of all, just let it sink in that there is an organization comprised of linguists which exists solely to ‘ban’ words and terms that they don’t like. Their action is known as ‘Un-word of the year’.

They’re literally attempting to re-create 1984’s Newspeak dictionary, which shrank in size year after year in order to eliminate language and limit free thought and free speech, making it harder for the plebs to vocalize their opposition to The Party.

As you may have suspected, every word or term already ‘banned’ by the group in recent years are ones used by conservatives to challenge leftist political tropes. Imagine my shock.

Terms ‘un-worded’ in recent years include “alternative facts,” “do-gooder,” “Lügenpresse” (liar press) and “welfare tourism” (referring to “foreigners in Germany allegedly leeching on the welfare system.”)

The panel says it exists to discourage the use of words that “discriminate against societal groups or may be euphemistic, disguising or misleading.”

Perhaps nervous that more Germans appear to be rejecting the cult of man-made climate change despite vociferous propaganda, this year the panel has chosen to ‘un-word’ the term “climate hysteria.”

According to the panel, which contains no scientists, the term “defames climate protection efforts and the climate protection movement, and discredits important discussions about climate protection.”

“Keeping the Newspeak Dictionary as thin as possible in hopes that this will narrow our range of thought is a progressive priority,” writes Dave Blount . “Any word or term that can be used to undermine leftist ideology will eventually be removed from the permissible vocabulary. That’s the point of having a Newspeak Dictionary.”

The Denver Post’s most read columnist says he was fired by the newspaper for his belief that there are only two sexes.

In a Facebook post, Jon Caldara said he was dismissed because his writing was too “insensitive.”

“My column is not a soft voiced, sticky sweet NPR-styled piece which employs the language now mandated by the victim-centric, identity politics driven media,” wrote Caldara.

“What seemed to be the last straw for my column was my insistence that there are only two sexes and my frustration that to be inclusive of the transgendered (even that word isn’t allowed) we must lose our right to free speech,” he added.

The columnist said that he refused to bend the knee to “newspeak” and declined to “use only the words mandated by the perpetually offended,” adding that conservatives are now mandated to “use the language of their ideological opponents.”

Caldara said he was in favor of gay marriage, had LGBT friends and didn’t care who used what bathroom, but that wasn’t enough. Refusing to adopt the language of ‘woke’ ideological storm troopers who now patrol the boundaries of acceptable language is a cardinal sin worthy of cancellation.

“People from this community have rights which we must protect,” wrote Caldara. “But to force us to use inaccurate pronouns, to force us to teach our kids that there are more than two sexes, to call what is plainly a man in a dress, well, not a man in a dress violates our right of speech.”

Caldara concluded his Facebook post by asserting that this policing of language will lead to a repeat of 2016 and Donald Trump’s re-election.

“Thank you media. Your intolerance created him,” wrote Caldara.

“Caldara’s column revealed that he does not agree with the declaration by the Associated Press that biology be damned, sex and gender are not binary. Nor does he approve of a Colorado law requiring elementary school children to be indoctrinated with transgender dogma. No worries; the public is safe, now that this thought criminal has been deplatformed,” comments the Moonbattery blog.

Quite what Caldara was still doing working within the mainstream media given his belief in the value of “free speech” is a mystery given much of the media is now devoted to smearing and deplatform those who exercise it.
