Rep. Jim Jordan: Impeachment is About Democrats Not Accepting Election Result

“They have never accepted the will of the American people.”

Published

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) says that the impeachment hearings are just another consequence of Democrats not accepting the 2016 election result and defying the will of 63 million Americans.

During an appearance on Fox News, the Ohio Republican said the entire basis for the hearings was flawed given there’s no evidence of Trump delivering anything to Ukraine and “quid pro quo” claims are just a ruse.

“So this idea that there was a this for that, a quid for quo — a quid pro quo didn’t happen,” Jordan said. “And yet they continue to say, oh, oh, but this is impeachable.”

“This is not about that at all, Bret. This is — this is about they have never accepted the will of the American people, when 63 million Americans, in an Electoral College landslide, said, we’re going to send Donald Trump to Washington shake that town up,” he added.

“And the establishment here, and particularly the Democrats, have never accepted that,” said Jordan. “And they’re going to do whatever it takes, Mueller report, FBI investigation, dossier, or now this, whatever it takes to try to get him out. That’s what this is really about.”

It’s now been 1109 days since the 2016 presidential election. Democrats who once chided President Trump for suggesting he might not accept the election result have been doing precisely that every day ever since.

Americans Aren’t Interested in Trump’s Impeachment

If Google trends is anything to go by.

Published

on

Google Trends data illustrates how Americans aren’t really interested in the impeachment of President Donald Trump.

Mike Cernovich posted the search interest data for the keywords “impeach” and “impeachment,” showing interest drastically slipping from its December high.

“Friends (and foes), there are objective ways to measure the public’s interest in a subject like impeachment,” tweeted Cernovich. “You can see interest peaked (not to be confused with piqued) in December. Interest fell off a cliff, and here we are.”

Another graph shows that interest in impeachment was actually higher back in September last year than it is now.

Despite much hyperventilating by the media, the start of Trump’s Senate impeachment trial was watched by around 11 million viewers across 10 broadcast and cable television networks.

That’s down on the 13.8 million viewers who tuned in last November for the first day of the Congressional impeachment inquiry.

Perhaps most Americans understand that with virtually zero chance of Trump being impeached by the Senate, the whole charade is merely a show trial to try to keep a cloud over the president going into the 2020 campaign.

Trump Says He’d Love To Attend Senate Trial, “Sit right in front row and stare in their corrupt faces”

“Corrupt” Press have won Pulitzers for “Russian hoax”

President Trump declared Wednesday that he would love to attend the Senate impeachment trial and stare his accusers down.

Speaking from the World Economic Forum in Davos, Trump told a reporter “I’d love to go. Would that be great? Would that be beautiful?”

“Why don’t you go?” the reporter asked.

“I don’t know, I’d sort of love to sit right in the front row and stare in their corrupt faces. I’d love to do it.” Trump replied

“Why don’t you?” the reporter again asked.

“I don’t know. Don’t keep talking because I may— you may convince me to do it.” Trump replied, but acknowledging his lawyers wouldn’t love it.

The President then imagined ‘pencil neck’ Adam Schiff speaking at the hearing.

“He’ll stand, he’ll look at a microphone and he’ll talk like he’s so aggrieved,” he said, declaring Schiff to be a “major sleaze bag.”

Trump also had some choice words for the media, calling the press “partners” in the “Russian hoax”.

“If we could straighten out the press in our country, we would have a place that is so incredible.” Trump urged.

“The press is so dishonest, so corrupt. I read it all the time. I don’t mind bad stories. I deserve bad stories sometimes. But when I do something great,or good, let it be written about good! Same thing with other people.” the President added.

“The corruption in the media, as I call it, the fake news media is unbelievable and hopefully everybody is going to sort of learn a lesson. People got Pulitzer Prizes for their coverage of me. And it turned out they were totally wrong.” Trump continued.

The President described the impeachment effort as “a takedown attempt of a sitting president of the United States.”

“The Russian hoax is a terrible thing. The dossier was a phony deal, paid for by Hillary Clinton and the DNC. And used in the FISA courts totally illegally. It’s a terrible thing that happened.” Trump asserted.

The President also took a moment to slam Hillary Clinton, weighing in on the beef between the two time loser and Bernie Sanders.

“When she says nobody likes him, nobody likes her. That’s why she lost, I mean, nobody likes her. She had every advantage. She had this big machine behind her. She had Obama, she had everybody behind,” Trump said.

“She’s the one that people don’t like.” he added.

Sanders Says He Will Consider Tearing Down EXISTING Border Wall

“Should you do that, tear it down? I don’t know, maybe the answer is yes”

As President Trump continues efforts to divert funding to build a new border wall, Democratic Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders said Monday that he would consider ‘tearing down’ the existing border barriers if he is elected.

Sanders reasoned that the current barrier on the US-Mexico border is ‘symbolic’.

He claimed that tearing the wall down “may be” the correct thing to do, adding “but you know it’s how much is it going to cost to tear it down?”

“Should you do that, tear it down? I don’t know, maybe the answer is yes.” Sanders said.

“That’s something you’re willing to consider? You’re willing to consider tearing down existing fencing between the U.S. and Mexico?” David Noriega further asked Sanders.

“Yeah, I’ll always look,” Sanders replied, adding “but again if it’s going to cost me billions of dollars to tear it down, I’d rather invest that maybe in the needs for child care in this country.”

“But it’s, you know, we can look at it.” he concluded.

David Knight details the new Hulu series painting a favorable picture of Hillary Clinton and exposes the vitriolic hate she has for Bernie Sanders and any other Democrat Party dissidents that would dare defy the establishment and interfere with her ambition.

Sanders’ comments came during a Vice News sponsored event (hence the whacked out questions).

Sanders also promised to put a stop to “99% of deportations”, even including for violent criminals.

At the same event, Joe Biden, the ‘moderate’ Democratic candidate, vowed to end all illegal immigration detention “across the board”:

Is it any wonder that the consensus among migrants is that Democrats are going to allow them to illegally flood into the US if they win the election?

Bernie and Biden’s comments came on the same day that thousands of migrants stormed a bridge over the Suchiate River from Guatemala to Mexico, attempting to move further north with a view to entering the US.
