Social Credit System: Facial Recognition Cameras Monitor Chinese Students’ Behavior in Class

Monitors how often students look up, whether they’re listening or not.

Published

on

A university in China has installed facial recognition cameras in classrooms that monitor students’ behavior such as nodding off or playing with their cellphones.

China Pharmaceutical University in Nanjing, East China’s Jiangsu Province, is piloting the system in two classrooms and eventually plans to install it in every classroom.

“The system can access every student’s personal information and monitor their behavior in class such as nodding off and playing with their mobile phones,” reports Global Times.

The cameras can also record truancy, whether students are listening or not, how often they look up and down, and whether they leave early.

Students complain the system is an invasion of their privacy, but school officials insist the cameras are necessary to encourage discipline.

Under China’s Orwellian social credit system, all such systems are eventually planned to be centralized and linked to each citizen’s individual credit score, resulting in rewards and punishments for good and bad behavior.

As we reported last month, the Chinese government bragged about preventing 2.5 million “discredited entities” from purchasing plane tickets and 90,000 people from buying high speed train tickets in the month of July alone.

The recent phenomenon of conservatives and dissidents being prevented from using paid services and having their bank accounts closed for their political opinions is a chilling reflection of how a similar system is being rolled out in the west.

AI Expert Says We Are Summoning Robot “Entities” Who Will Treat Us Like Ants

They “don’t give a shit about you even in the slightest.”

Published

on

AI expert Geordie Rose says that tech developers are summoning “entities” into existence which will have the same indifference to humans as we have towards ants.

“They not gonna be like us, they’re gonna be aliens…they’re gonna be way smarter than every single person in this room in ways that we can’t even comprehend,” said Rose.

He then mentioned Elon Musk’s concerns about artificial intelligence taking over humanity, but cautioned that the word “demons” doesn’t even capture the true scope of what will happen.

Rose then cited H.P Lovecraft’s concept of “cosmic indifference,” where the universe is occupied by entities who “don’t give a shit about you even in the slightest.”

“The same way that you don’t care about an ant is the same way they’re not gonna care about you,” said Rose.

He went on to say that “these things we’re summoning into the world right now…are more like the Lovecraftian The Great Old Ones, they’re entities that are not necessarily going to be aligned with what we want.”

Rose said that this massive transformation was happening in the background while people were distracted bickering about politics.

As we have exhaustively explained, the elite plans to fuse with AI to create the singularity while the masses will be left behind as a slave class or, according to some, exterminated completely.

Can’t wait.

Philosopher Warns Linking Human Brains to Computers Could Lead to “Totalitarian Mind Control”

Slavoj Zizek says the prospect is “pretty horrifying.”

Published

on

Linking human consciousness to a computer cloud with the capability of reading everyone’s thoughts simultaneously could lead to “totalitarian mind control,” warns philosopher Slavoj Zizek.

With fears growing that artificial intelligence will eventually dominate and maybe even exterminate humanity, Zizek, the senior researcher at the Institute for Sociology and Philosophy at the University of Ljubljana, is sounding the alarm.

Zizek pointed out that MIT has already developed a “helmet” that can read your thoughts and reproduce them in writing or an artificial voice.

While such technology appears harmless if it is voluntary, Zizek asks what would happen if it was deployed “without you knowing it?”

“The next step in this “utopia” will be a computer that can read my thoughts and your thoughts that can connect us so that we can share our thoughts. If you and I are connected through the same computer, I can literally participate in your thinking directly without any external communication like word typing,” he writes.

Zizek said he found the prospect of this mass shared consciousness “pretty horrifying” because it would totally destroy freedom of thought and individuality.

He provides two mundane examples of how such technology would ruin basic human interaction.

“All flirting will be out. I meet someone and instead of all the lovely games of erotic hints she can read ‘I want to go to bed with you’ and the eroticism will disappear.

Another simple example is everyday politeness. Let’s say we know each other but we are not mega-close friends. I see you on the street and say the usual polite things like: “hello, how are you? I am glad to meet you.” But if you can read my mind this is nonsense because this is politeness and I do not mean it. Usually, I do not care how you feel.”

As we have previously documented, futurists like Ray Kurzweil have openly stated their plans to achieve the singularity by uploading their brains to computers and escaping death.

In his book, the Age of Spiritual Machines, Kurzweil made clear that such technology will not be available to the general public, who will at best live on as a slave class to the elite.
