Chinese Social Credit Score Prevents 2.5 Million “Discredited Entities” From Buying Plane Tickets

Coming to the west soon.

Published

on

The Communist Chinese government is bragging about its social credit system preventing 2.5 million “discredited entities” from purchasing plane tickets and 90,000 people from buying high speed train tickets in the month of July alone.

“China restricted 2.56 million discredited entities from purchasing plane tickets, and 90,000 entities from buying high-speed rail tickets in July,” tweeted the Global Times, a Chinese government mouthpiece.

As I document in the video below, Chinese citizens are punished by having their social credit score lowered for engaging in a number of different behaviors, including;

– Bad driving.
– Smoking on trains.
– Buying too many video games.
– Buying too much junk food.
– Buying too much alcohol.
– Calling a friend who has a low credit score .
– Having a friend online who has a low credit score.
– Posting “fake news” online.
– Criticizing the government.
– Visiting unauthorized websites.
– Walking your dog without a leash.
– Letting your dog bark too much.

As of November 2018, 6.7 million Chinese people had already been banned from buying air and train tickets. That number now appears to be surging.

While many on the left and in the media decry China’s Orwellian social credit score system, they simultaneously advocate for a similar thing in the west, where people are deplatformed and have their right to engage in commerce revoked because of their political views.

“Big Tech has already implemented their own “social credit score” system where they punish people for their political views by deplatforming them, censoring their websites and closing their PayPal/bank accounts,” writes Chris Menahan.

“On the other hand, media outlets which push propaganda in accordance with the desires of our ruling oligarchs are rewarded by having their content algorithmically artificially boosted and handed millions of dollars.”

Imagine going to buy groceries with your credit card, but then having your payment declined because someone in an office in San Francisco thinks you posted something “hateful” on the Internet.

That’s our collective future.

DHS Awards $20 Million To Program That Flags Americans As Potential “Extremists” For Their Online Speech

The money will be spent from the Targeted Violence and Terrorism Prevention (TVTP) grant program.

The US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has awarded 34 grants to as many organizations, worth a total of $20 million, whose role will be to undergo training in order to flag potential online “extremist” speech of Americans.

The money will be spent from the Targeted Violence and Terrorism Prevention (TVTP) grant program for fiscal year 2023, while the recipients include police, mental health providers, universities, churches and school districts.

According to DHS, this program (administered by its Center for Prevention Programs and Partnerships, CP3, and for some reason, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, FEMA) is the only federal one of its kind whose goal is “helping local communities develop and strengthen their capabilities in combating targeted violence and terrorism.”

Those given the money from the grants fund are expected to develop prevention programming at the community level that would stop “targeted violence and terrorism,” as well as come up with innovative prevention ideas, and “identify prevention best practices that can be replicated in communities nationwide.”

In announcing and explaining the need for such spending, DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas cited the Jacksonville shooting. As he remarked while justifying the awarding of grants, the event was racially motivated, and – “[it] made painfully clear, targeted violence and terrorism can impact any community, anywhere.”

DHS claims that the “current” environment is one of heightened – and lethal – threat, based on ideology or personal grievances of “lone offenders and small groups.”

The DHS announcement came on the anniversary of 9/11, but it showed that the focus is now on Americans rather than some foreign terrorist threat (or even foreign terrorist gangs in the habit of “invading” US soil).

And the way the terrorist threat is defined here looks more like a drive to suppress dissent to dominant narratives pushed by the government and large traditional and social media who work in concert with the federal authorities.

Specifically, what opponents of such policy single out as possible reasons to be branded a violent extremists or (domestic) terrorist could be disagreeing, and expressing that opinion online on anything from Covid, vaccines, gun rights, gender and LGBTQ policies, the war in Ukraine, or immigration.

WashPo: Netanyahu Flying to Silicon Valley to Meet With Elon Musk And Discuss ‘Anti-Semitism on X’

Soros is just a little “financier” and the ADL is just a little “nonprofit in New York.”

In the wake of the #BanTheADL movement catching fire on Twitter/X, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is reportedly planning to fly to Silicon Valley to personally meet with X owner Elon Musk and discuss “anti-Semitism” on his social media platform.

From The Washington Post, “Musk expected to meet with Netanyahu as antisemitism controversy rages”:

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is expected to fly to the heart of Silicon Valley on Monday to meet with X owner Elon Musk in an effort to help ease an escalating crisis over antisemitism on the struggling social media platform.

The meeting is the latest step in a campaign by Musk’s Jewish friends and allies, and executives of his social media company, to stave off the mounting controversy, according to five people familiar with the situation, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to share behind-the-scenes conversations.

This summer, Netanyahu smoothed things over in a conversation with Musk after the X owner repeated antisemitic tropes about Jewish financier George Soros. Netanyahu’s government minister tasked with fighting antisemitism made of point of saying that Musk’s comments were not antisemitic, despite widespread outcry in Israel.

Soros is just a little “financier” and the ADL is just a little “nonprofit in New York.”

The fact the Prime Minister of Israel is flying to Silicon Valley himself to try and exert influence over Musk is apparently supposed to be indicative of nothing.

The latest crisis — one of many in the drama-filled 11 months since Musk bought the company then known as Twitter — was sparked by a Sept. 4 tweet in which Musk accused a prominent Jewish organization of “trying to kill” the platform with false accusations of antisemitism. Since then, Musk has issued more than a dozen tweets critical of the Anti-Defamation League, saying the 110-year-old human rights organization was largely responsible for a 60 percent drop in advertising revenue and that he was planning to sue the group.

As the crisis has ballooned, Jewish business leaders including Joe Lonsdale, who co-founded the tech company Palantir and is a friend of Musk, have stepped in to broker peace, while X CEO Linda Yaccarino has gone into damage control mode.

Though Musk’s Sept. 4 tweet caught Yaccarino and other executives off guard, leaders at X had been considering suing the ADL over what they believed were misrepresentations of the level of hate speech on the platform.

Yaccarino has since sprung into action: writing a blog post and exchanging text messages with ADL CEO Jonathan Greenblatt. The moment may prove to be an early test of the relationship between the erratic billionaire and his handpicked CEO, who was hired to placate advertisers and now finds herself cleaning up some of the damage done by her boss.

“X opposes antisemitism in all its forms,” Yaccarino tweeted on Sept. 8. “Antisemitism is evil and X will always work to fight it on our platform.”

They also announced they were going to censor more people and banned a few users who took part in the #BanTheADL campaign and shared some stuff from Nick Fuentes (who was also banned on a burner account).

Musk did not respond to a request for comment for this story, and X referred further questions to Yaccarino’s public statements.

The Netanyahu meeting, which is being hastily planned for this coming Monday and is expected to include other tech leaders, adds an international dimension to the controversy, said one of the people familiar with the meeting. The Israeli prime minister, who is facing a domestic crisis over his efforts to revamp Israel’s judicial system, has positioned his relationship with Silicon Valley leaders like Musk as important for the future of the “start-up nation” of Israel.

[…] On Aug. 30, Yaccarino had a virtual meeting with Greenblatt. Both sides viewed the session as cordial and productive, according to the people briefed on the meeting, and Greenblatt and Yaccarino praised the dialogue in separate tweets.

[…] In an interview, Greenblatt said that his organization was accustomed to being on the receiving end of hateful attacks. But Musk’s actions took the vitriol to another level.

“We’ve gotten bomb threats. Our offices have been swatted. None of that is new,” he said. “But this was an onslaught. There was something different about this tsunami of hate.”

He said his organization had not actively promoted the advertiser boycott in recent months.

Amid the crisis, wealthy Jewish leaders tried to help defuse the situation, according to two people familiar with the matter who spoke on the condition of anonymity to describe private conversations. Lonsdale and Steve Rattner, an investor who manages former New York mayor Mike Bloomberg’s assets, both reached out to ADL.

“He doesn’t hate Jews, but he’s a fighter and when you punch him, he is going to punch back,” said one of the people familiar with the outreach. “Part of who he is is an aggressive force of nature. He doesn’t understand the second-order effects.”

But behind the scenes, Yaccarino and other executives were working with Musk to plan for a potential lawsuit against ADL. The proposed lawsuit, which has not been filed, would dispute the methodologies used by the ADL and other advocacy groups as evidence that inaccurate, hateful and violent posts have surged on X, according to one of the people familiar with the plans. It would make allegations similar to those in a lawsuit the company filed last month against another advocacy group, the Center for Countering Digital Hate. The nonprofit’s CEO, Imran Ahmed, said he also had a private meeting with Yaccarino shortly before Musk sued.

[…] It was unclear Thursday what might come of the Musk-Netanyahu meeting. People familiar with the event said it was still coming together.

The incongruence with the ADL claiming they’re just a small “nonprofit from New York” but then they have the Prime Minister of Israel lobbying Musk personally on their behalf is just hilarious.

This reminds of the time Netanyahu gave an interview laughing off Kanye “Ye” West’s comments only to send the President of Israel to meet with Biden at the White House to discuss how to respond to the controversy two weeks later.

That said, Musk addressed the report on Thursday and said the “discussion was planned several weeks ago and is about AI, not the Defamation League (they dropped the ‘A’).”

We will see if Netanyahu brings it up. There’s going to be other people at the meeting and I’m sure the content will leak out.

For his part, Musk has continued to criticize the ADL on X and addressed their censorship on Tuesday at the All-In Summit in Los Angeles.

Musk released some of the details of the ADL’s behind the scenes pressure campaign against X last week and claimed more dirt would be released in the come days and weeks. So far, no additional dirt has been released.

Elon Musk Reveals ‘Extremely Powerful’ ADL CEO Jonathan Greenblatt Sought to Shake Him Down For Donations

Greenblatt sought to shake him down for donations.

Twitter/X owner Elon Musk revealed on Wednesday that Jonathan Greenblatt, the “extremely powerful” CEO of the Anti-Defamation League, sought to shake him down for donations just like he did to Adidas, the Brooklyn Nets and Kyrie Irving.

“Andrew Ross Sorkin asks Jonathan Greenblatt if he was seeking to have a role at X or shaking @elonmusk down for donations to the ADL (like he did to Adidas and the Brooklyn Nets) and he responds by saying that’s an ‘anti-Semitic trope,’ ” Greg Price tweeted along with a clip of Greenblatt’s latest appearance on CNBC.

“Because the answer is ‘Yes!’ regarding seeking donations, hence JG’s refusal to answer the question,” Musk responded. “JG instead went on the attack, implying that Sorkin, despite being Jewish, is somehow an anti-Semite just for asking a basic conflict-of-interest question!”

“I love how ADL overlord Jonathan Greenblatt says the ADL is just a little ‘nonprofit in New York’ with no power as if they didn’t lead a pressure campaign that squeezed $60 billion from Meta’s market cap for not complying with their demands,” Ashley St. Clair commented in response to Greenblatt’s CNBC appearance. “ADL has been operating mafia-style for ideological compliance for decades!”

“Exactly!” Musk said. “The ADL is extremely powerful in the west, as demonstrated by our massive drop in US advertising, while Asia advertising has actually grown slightly.”

Musk shared a longer breakdown of the interview, which he called “Accurate analysis,” exposing Greenblatt’s many lies.

Mario Nawfal wrote:

BREAKING: DEBUNKING THE LIES IN ADL’S RESPONSE TO ELON

ADL’s CEO broke his silence on 𝕏 and Elon by lying and trapping the host:

1) He claimed that Elon brought and amplified anti-semitism and hate speech back to the platform.

This is NOT TRUE. The 𝕏 Safety team shared that an independent assessment by Sprinklr found that hate speech impressions on 𝕏 “to be 0.003% compared to Twitter’s estimate of 0.012%.”

2) Greenblatt clarified that he has never claimed Elon or 𝕏 are anti-Semitic: “I don’t think Twitter as a platform is anti-Semitic.”

3) When Greenblatt was asked by the host (who also identified as Jewish) if he was seeking a position or donation from 𝕏 to the ADL, he took offense to this, called it an anti-semetic trope, almost as if he was trying to cancel him, leaving the host uncomfortable and defensive.

4) Greenblatt claimed ADL is NOT publicly or privately talking to advertisers, BUT shortly after, said, “It is true we did call for a pause back in November, after the acquisition and since then” and in a previous interview he stated “if it remains a hellscape the advertisers won’t take part in [Twitter]”

5) Greenblatt said the ADL is a SMALL non-profit in NY.

NOT TRUE. The ADL is an influential organization with over 100 years of history, and according to the ADL’s 2021 tax filings, the organization’s total revenue was $101 million with a balance sheet of $238 million.

They ALSO received millions of dollars of indirect government funding via grants to groups in which the ADL has special interests.

6) Greenblatt says the ADL works WITH other social media platforms, including Facebook. We saw in the Politico article that @elonmusk posted that the ADL indirectly CONTROLS what can be posted on Facebook.

7) Greenblatt claimed he doesn’t know what prompted Elon’s tweets, but Elon was clear it was prompted by the 60% drop in advertising from the ADL’s interference, which Greenblatt admitted in the video.

Doesn’t seem like the meeting with X CEO Linda Yaccarino went as well as Greenblatt is making it out to be.

Musk also said it was “bizarre” how Marc Lamont Hill, who was “canceled” by the ADL and lost his job at CNN for criticizing Israel, is now defending them and painting Musk’s criticism of the foreign lobby group as “dangerous, dishonest,” “deeply antisemitic” and inviting of “violence from his Nazi base.”

“Jonathan at ADL kicked off a massive Twitter boycott campaign less than a week after the acquisition closed,” Musk said in another post. “Literally nothing had changed about the site. Our US revenue is still 60% down from that campaign, but slowly improving.”

Musk also questioned why the ADL is training FBI agents.

“Why does the FBI need training that holocausts are terrible?” Musk asked.

The ADL also trains local law enforcement throughout America, teaching them the same tripe they teach schoolchildren about the many evils of “whiteness.”

Rather than cower in the face of the ADL’s threats, Musk engaged with Keith Woods and questioned why so many Jews have turned against free speech.

After Woods exposed alleged Israeli intelligence agent Vivian Bercovici trying to influence the #BanTheADL campaign on a popular Twitter Space, her Wikipedia was edited to try and hide her connections to the Israeli intel firm Black Cube.

Musk has shared several posts claiming the ADL strayed from it’s original noble mission but the truth is they’ve always been terrible.

The ADL was founded in defense of Jewish factory manager Leo Frank, who was found guilty in multiple trials in Georgia for raping and murdering 13-year-old Mary Phagan — a little girl whom he had performing child labor at his factory.

Frank’s defense team tried to frame a black man for her murder but multiple juries — which included Jews — didn’t buy it.

Nonetheless, powerful Jewish groups managed to get Governor John Slaton to commute Frank’s death sentence on his last day in office (sound familiar?). The decision to allow a child rapist and murder who was guilty as sin to escape justice triggered so much backlash that a vigilante group rose up and gave Frank the death penalty themselves. The ADL then created a false story that the vigilantes were all driven by “anti-Semitism” — a lie they’ve continued to push to this very day.

The ADL was never a noble organization and were just as crooked and corrupt in the past as they are now.

UPDATE: The ADL is now fundraising off this scandal and telling donors they’re under threat due to Musk’s criticisms!
