Journalist Travels to Ilhan Omar’s Homeland to Prove Somalia is Beautiful, Gets Killed by Terrorists
Tragedy of cultural relativism strikes again.

A journalist traveled to Ilhan Omar’s homeland of Somalia to challenge stereotypes and prove the country was “beautiful,” only to end up being killed by terrorists.
Before President Trump’s tweetstorm in which he encouraged Omar to go back and fix her own country, Somali-Canadian journalist Hodan Nalayeh was trying to do precisely that.
Nalayeh returned to the country of her birth to tell “uplifting” stories about Somalia, according to the Washington Post.
The journalist became well known for her relentlessly positive tweets about Somalia. Just one week ago, she lauded the “beauty” of the place.

One respondent praised her for “countering the doom narrative propagated by many about Somalia”.

— Ahmed kafia (@ahmedinajadosam) July 3, 2019
Another Somali writer praised her portraying an image of the country radically different from the stereotype of “victims trapped in a vicious circle of conflicts”.
During a video tour on her YouTube channel of the town of Kismayo, Nalayeh said she was hopeful the area could be rebuilt and revived, “Because this place is beautiful!”
On Friday last week, Nalayeh was killed in that very same town when al-Shabab militants stormed the Asasey Hotel in Kismayo.

The total death toll claimed 26 lives and it took around 14 hours for Somali security forces to regain control of the hotel.
“While Nalayeh’s death would seem to underline the harshness of Trump’s remarks, it was also a visceral argument for what many understood to be his central point: that perhaps immigrants should be especially grateful to live in the United States,” reports the Pluralist.

Leftists Suggest “Re-education Camps,” “Firing Squads,” Banning Talk Radio to “Deprogram” 75 Million Trump Supporters
But Trump supporters are the baddies.

Leftists responded to a Twitter thread asking “how do you deprogram 75 million people?” by suggesting Trump supporters should be interned in “re-education camps” and that all conservative talk radio should be banned.
“No seriously…how *do* you deprogram 75 million people? Where do you start? Fox? Facebook?” asked David Atkins (pronouns in bio), a regional director for California Democrats. “We have to start thinking in terms of post-WWII Germany or Japan. Or the failures of Reconstruction in the South,” he added.
This is not your standard partisan policy disagreement. This is a conspiracy theory fueled belligerent death cult against reality & basic decency.
The only actual policy debates of note are happening within the dem coalition between left and center left.
— David Atkins (@DavidOAtkins) November 18, 2020
Atkins went on to frame Trump voters as a “conspiracy theory fueled belligerent death cult against reality & basic decency” before issuing a veiled threat by stating, “People are gonna try to figure out how to defend themselves.”
i mean, for chrissakes, conservatives are literally giving themselves COVID just to own the libs. They're dying in COVID wards insisting they don't have COVID because it must be a liberal plot.
People are gonna try to figure out how to defend themselves.
— David Atkins (@DavidOAtkins) November 19, 2020
While asserting the moral high ground, many of the response in the thread demanded outright tyranny or yet more censorship as a means of ensuring “the good guys” have their way.
One verified user called for “Nuremberg trials.”

“Generally speaking, I believe re-education camps are a good thing,” added another.
Generally speaking, I believe re-education camps are a good thing. But we don’t need to send 75 million people there. Maybe we just need a party that represents their material interests so they won’t be so susceptible to future grifts?

Another called for the removal of “radio talk show hosts from airwaves through rigorous application of hate speech laws.”
Steps to deprogramming 70M deluded people:
1) @FCC to revoke @FoxNews broadcast license
2) Remove radio talk show hosts from airwaves through rigorous application of hate speech laws
3) send free newspapers to schools so kids can be exposed to truth
4) Free college tuition …— James Wooten (@rantonstupidity) November 18, 2020
“Cut them off completely. End the flow of false information suddenly and immediately,” said another, calling for all right-wing news outlets to “die.”
Fox, Facebook, OANN, Newspeak (?), right wing radio.
Cut them off completely. End the flow of false information suddenly and immediately.
Starve out the conspiracies. Let them die. Pump the truth out 24/7 on all platforms remaining.
Do all that for 5 years and 25% will remain.

Another respondent called for “banning Trump flags.”
Start by banning trump flags like we should have done with the confederate flag. One of our many mistakes and why we failed at Reconstruction. We should not allow a hate symbol to be flown with pride in our democracy. Germany got that one right after WWII

Republicans in Wayne County Caved In, Certified Results After Being Called “Racist” by Pro-Antifa Poll Watcher
Ned Staebler liked tweets that advocated killing people on lists.

Republicans in Wayne County, Michigan reversed their decision to not certify the presidential election results after they were lectured by a pro-Antifa poll watcher and called racist.
Monica Palmer and William Hartmann, who make up two of the four-person Wayne County Board of Canvassers, sparked controversy when they initially refused to sign off on their district’s ballot count which handed Joe Biden victory.
This prompted poll watcher and local businessman Ned Staebler to accuse the pair of basically being on a par with Nazis.
“I just want to let you know that the Trump stink, the stain of racism that you have covered yourself in, is going to follow you throughout history,” said Staebler in a Zoom call.

“You will forever be known in southeastern Michigan as two racists who did something so unprecedented that they disenfranchised hundreds of thousands of black voters in the city of Detroit, because they were ordered to,” he added, before going on to label Palmer and Hartmann “completely racist.”
Staebler suggested the pair were also going to hell, declaring, “When you go to meet your maker, your soul is going to be very, very warm.”
The rant appeared to have an impact because Palmer and Hartmann reversed their decision shortly after and certified the results.
Staebler’s rhetoric sounding like typical Antifa diatribe is no surprise given that he openly supports the violent organization, as well as Black Lives Matter, on his Twitter page.
As the screenshot below highlights, Staebler has liked tweets which advocate drawing up lists of people and killing them as well as celebrating “nazis getting their lights punched out,” which at this point is a synonym for Trump supporters being attacked.
So in other words, Palmer and Hartmann were so weak in their convictions, they were rattled by one angry rant by an Antifa supporter on a Zoom call.

Video: Did Don Lemon Mistakenly Read Teleprompter Cue to “Scream”?
Twitter users allege embarrassing moment of inauthenticity.

Twitter users are pointing to a clip from Don Lemon’s show last night in which they claim the CNN host mistakenly read a teleprompter cue to “scream” during a segment about Trump supporters alleging vote fraud.
“How about some facts, okay?” Lemon says during the monologue. “Trump supporters are circulating a list of social media, on social media, that purports to be a list of dead people in Michigan who are voting, right?”
“This is fraud people, scream,” says Lemon before stumbling slightly over his words and remarking, “Okay, that’s what it says, alright, so…”
Don Lemon of CNN had a true Ron Burgundy moment by reading the word "scream" on the teleprompter 🤣 Fake outrage much?? Lol pic.twitter.com/H23QVi45An
— Shane G (@the_real_shaneg) November 12, 2020
Some respondents accused Lemon of having a “Ron Burgundy” moment and exposing his total inauthenticity by reading the cue to scream in error.
“It seems Dandy Don had trouble reading and comprehending the propaganda sheet he was handed. You were supposed to scream the sentence you dolt, not say scream,” said one.
“Scream .. then the look on his face like oh I was suppose to scream,” added another.
A few other respondents claimed that Lemon had merely been reading a quote badly and in fact had not been prompted to scream himself.
However, the incident was evidence for some that many outbursts of emotion by news anchors, which have been plentiful during the Trump era, are completely staged and inauthentic.
Lemon had another moment back in April when he broke down crying over Chris Cuomo’s COVID-19 diagnosis, despite the fact that Cuomo recovered quickly and lied about breaking his own self-isolation.
