Desmond is Amazing’s Mother Defends Decision to Allow 12-Year-Old ‘Drag Kid’ to Perform at Gay Bar For Tips

“I don’t understand what the controversy is”.

The mother of ‘Desmond is Amazing’ – a 12-year-old ‘drag queen kid,’ has defended her decision to allow her son to perform on stage at a gay club in New York while patrons tossed money at the boy.

After revealing that 7 different agencies had conducted investigations into whether Desmond was being abused, his mother Wendy told hosts of an Australian TV show that there was nothing wrong with the show.

“Do you think that’s the right environment for a 12-year-old?” asked the host, noting that some of the gay men in attendance felt “very uncomfortable” about the performance.

“No – it was an all ages show, it was in a queer safe space, obviously there are not a lot of heterosexual safe spaces right now that he can perform in,” said Wendy, before she changed the subject by complaining about people “bringing guns to drag queen story hour”.

On the subject of patrons tossing money at a dancing child, Wendy said; “Tipping is customary for drag shows because the drag queen or drag kid in Desmond’s case is performing a service so nothing that we did at that performance was having to do with him performing at a gay bar.”

“I don’t understand what the controversy is, I think a lot of it is fabricated,” she added.

Elsewhere in the interview, Desmond revealed that he didn’t have many friends at school, but his mother quickly corrected him, asserting he had a “fan club”. Desmond has also apparently made a lot of money from his drag queen activity and has spent much of it on toys.

Desmond was previously involved in ‘Drag Queen Storytime’ – in which drag queens visit schools and libraries across America to read to children.

One of the participants at a Drag Queen Story Time event in Houston, 32-year-old Albert Garza, later turned out to be a registered sex offender who was convicted of assaulting an eight-year-old boy in 2008.

New Hampshire Town Removes Christmas From Its Christmas Ceremony After Two People Complain About Being Offended

Caving in to weak-minded idiots.

Published

on

The town of Durham, New Hampshire announced it was removing several Christmassy elements from its annual “holiday celebration” because two people complained about being offended.

Yes, really.

According to CBS Boston, the town’s Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony will undergo changes “in an effort to remove religious overtones.”

The event will be renamed ‘Frost Fest’ while the formal tree lighting ceremony itself will be abolished and Santa will not arrive in a town firetruck as he has in the past.

Christmas wreaths that were placed on lamp posts on Main Street will also be absent.

According to councilor Town Councilor Sally Tobias, the changes were made after one person “said that he had always had a problem with the Christmas tree.”

“There were a couple of people that did express some concerns about how they felt being included,” Tobias said.

So in other words, because two weak-minded idiots complained about being offended, the town voted to take Christmas out of its Christmas celebrations, undoubtedly angering the vast majority of residents.

“To stop cultures and faiths from practicing publicly would be very un-American. I think that’s the beauty of our country,” said Rabbi Berel Slavaticki, who was refused when he asked the town to display a Menorah during the eight days of Hanukkah last year.

South Dakota Spends Nearly $500,000 on Anti-Meth Ad Campaign With Tagline “Meth – We’re On it”

Yes, really.

Published

on

South Dakota’s Department of Social Services has spent nearly half a million dollars on an anti-meth ad campaign with the tagline “Meth. We’re On It.”

No, this is not The Onion.

“The campaign’s motto features the phrase, “Meth. We’re on it,” over an outline of South Dakota, and the ad and posters feature people of differing in ages and races saying, “I’m on meth,” reports the Argus Leader.

A video shows Governor Kristi Noem telling the camera, “I’m on meth,” before she explains that “on it” means “on the case of meth.”

TV ads, posters, billboards and a website will feature the motto at a cost of $449,000 that was paid to Broadhead Co., a marketing and ad agency in Minneapolis.

The outlay compares with $1 million which has been set aside for meth treatment services and more than $730,000 for school-based meth prevention programming.

Social Services Secretary Laurie Gill called the campaign “inclusive and empowering,” but respondents on Twitter were not so enthusiastic.

“Apparently no one thought this through,” commented one.

“It’s so bad and I know it’s a serious issue but WHO APPROVED THIS?” asked another.

One respondent said they were aware that the tagline was meant to apply to meth addicts being refreshingly honest, “But having a clip of your governor saying I’m on meth is not exactly genius marketing.”

“Only Black Person” in Restaurant Boasts About Making White People Uncomfortable, Faces Twitter Backlash

“I’ll take things that never happened for $500 Alex.”

Published

on

A man claiming to be the “only black person” in a restaurant boasted about making white people uncomfortable before facing a Twitter backlash.

The man, whose Twitter handle is @HoodProfett, posted a video of himself smiling while sat at a table.

“I was the only black person at this boujee ass restaurant and the whites were so uncomfortable. The power we have,” he tweeted.

Despite the tweet receiving nearly 150,000 likes, many of the most popular responses were not very enthusiastic.

“Same energy,” tweeted Ian Miles Cheong, with a link to a meme about someone with no friends.

“They’re staring cause he looking at his phone all weird but clearly not on the phone with anyone,” joked another.

“Them people was just eating they food bruh,” commented another user.

“I’ll take things that never happened for $500 Alex,” remarked another.

The memes came in thick and fast.

After the backlash, the man claimed, “The amount of non black + white folks interacting with this has become a bit concerning. So I’m muting this.”

He did find space, however, to list his cashapp handle so people could send him money (for what reason, God only knows).
