Journalists Are Reporting Their Own Colleagues to HR For ‘Offensive’ Political Opinions

Center-right column in major publication made staffers feel “unsafe”.

There is a growing trend of journalists reporting their own colleagues to Human Resources over political opinions that make them feel “unsafe”.

That’s according to a post on the Singal-Minded newsletter, which highlights two anonymous cases of journalists grassing up other journalists for their thought crimes.

In the first case, a staffer at a major publication wrote about a social justice controversy. In the piece, he took a center-right position that would be in line with mainstream thinking but “at odds with the progressive consensus”.

As a result, a number of the staffer’s colleagues filed HR complaints, asserting that the column made them feel “unsafe”.

“The staffers leveling the complaint were so upset and disturbed by Bob’s center-right column that they felt their physical or psychological safety had been threatened,” reports the newsletter.

Quite how the writer’s opinions would cause anyone to feel “unsafe” given that he doesn’t even work in news outlet’s office is a mystery.

In another case, two colleagues (both non-white) went to lunch and had a conversation about the underlying factors causing the violence in Baltimore.

The female staffer argued that the causes were “white supremacy and the legacy of slavery,” while the male colleague disagreed, blaming the violence instead on “Baltimore’s heavily Democratic local government”.

The female staffer responded by yelling at the man across the table before reporting him to higher ups.

In neither case did the thought criminals receive any punishment, but the mere fact they were snitched on is a damning indictment of the state of journalism in 2019.

“There are, unfortunately, progressive and leftist communities where this shockingly immature and ill-conceived idea that disagreement is the same as abuse or trauma has truly taken hold, but it’s completely inimical to the core tenets of journalism, and I hope it doesn’t spread further there,” writes Jesse Singal.

A Democrat made a complete fool of herself at yesterday’s House Judiciary Committee government weaponisation hearing in the House by attempting to pin some random person’s retweet on an FBI whistleblower as evidence that he supported a January 6th insurgency.

Sporting sprigs of purple dyed hair and waving around air quotes, shrieky Democratic Rep. Linda Sanchez of California attempted to go all Perry Mason by uncovering former FBI agent Marcus Allen as a dangerous MAGA extremist sympathiser.

The problem was that her entire case rested on a retweet claiming ‘Nancy Pelosi staged January 6. Retweet if you agree,’ by someone with the same name, that isn’t the same Marcus Allen.

Sanchez took about 4 minutes to set up her devastating take down of Allen as a legitimate witness, asking him several poorly worded questions about whether he believes FBI agents should be impartial and apolitical.

Sanchez intended to get Allen to agree that obviously this should be the case and then hit him with the revelation that he retweeted a MAGA crackpot QAnon statement, or something.

When it came to the big unveil, Sanchez asked “Is your account @MarcusA97050645?” to which the former agent replied “That is absolutely not my account.”

Should’ve checked if there is more than one Marcus Allen… in the world.

Sanchez ridiculously carried on anyway, demanding that Allen answer for the tweet, as someone in the background quipped that the owner of the random Marcus Allen account “could be the football player.”

Allen hilariously repeatedly told Sanchez that the Twitter account in question is not his.

Earlier, Allen had testified to the subcommittee that he was punished for forwarding information to his superiors that “questioned the official narrative of the events of January 6.”

“Despite my history of unblemished service to the United States, the FBI suspended my security clearance, accusing me of actually being disloyal to my country,” Allen said.

He added, “This outrageous and insulting accusation is based on unsubstantiated accusations that I hold ‘conspiratorial views’ regarding the events of January 6, 2021 and that I allegedly sympathize with criminal conduct. I do not. I was not in Washington DC on January 6, played no part in the events of January 6, and I condemn all criminal activity that occurred.”

    A Toronto cafe for anti-capitalists, “The Anarchist,” is permanently shuttering after just 12 months in business after following a “pay-when-you-can” business model.

    The Anarchist describes itself as an “anti-capitalist, anti-colonial cafe, shop and radical community space on stolen land.”

    “Unfortunately, the lack of generational wealth/seed capital from ethically bankrupt sources left me unable to weather the quiet winter season, or to grow in the ways needed to be sustainable longer-term,” the owner, Gabriel Sims-Fewer wrote last week.

    The Anarchist, which opened for business in March of 2022, went viral last year, with internet users mocking the leftist cafe for charging high prices for its “speciality” coffee as well as selling “radical” art, books, clothing, jewellery, tote bags, and stickers. –Breitbart

    “Fuck the rich. Fuck the police. Fuck the state. Fuck the colonial death camp we call “Canada”,” Gabriel wrote.

    “It’s been an amazing experience, connecting with so many great community members, sparking desperately needed debate, raising the blood pressure of Conservatives (that includes you, “anarcho-capitalists” and “Libertarians”), fulfilling the dream of most service workers by not having to tolerate the presence of professional class-traitors (pigs and military), and experimenting with living and working in ways that don’t enthusiastically embrace the pure misanthropy of Capitalism,” he continued.
